From the time you walk up to this establishment, everything says, "You're welcome!" The ambiance is truly inviting and the staff is amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who have such a warm spirit. So, yesterday I ordered an americano with white mocha syrup...delicious. I came back today and ordered a vanilla latte, super good. Yesterday and today I stayed and worked from there and the atmosphere was perfect. Kids were coming in with their parents making slime, some customers came inside just to take a selfie with the robot barista, and others were like myself who enjoyed delicious coffee and stayed around to get some work done in a beautiful environment. Fun name (because it's part coffee shop, part candle store), cool robot "barista," and friendly staff. Unfortunately when it came down to our actual beverage, it missed the mark for us. The reason I still give them 4 stars is because of the customer service (from the humans, not the robot, though the robot is surprisingly polite! :). My husband and I stopped in during BottleRock weekend even though we'd already gotten our morning coffees at our favorite spot around the corner. We wanted to check out this new robot barista of course! Though it was fun to watch the robot (who by the way looks like he could be Baymax's little cousin from the movie Big Hero 6), their matcha latte was pretty awful. It tasted sour/tart, almost like it was made with milk that had gone sour or like it had some weird citrus-y tart juice squeezed into it. We'd already walked down the street on our way to BottleRock so there was no time to go back to see if they could remake it. Our total for the one drink came out to just over $8. We knew going in that the drink prices were on the higher side there, but we figured it was worth paying a couple extra dollars to experience the robot thing and support a newer local business. But when the actual drink isn't even drinkable, then you can't help but feel ripped off. Before writing this review I mentioned the drink issue in one of those 'How'd we do" type of surveys attached to my electronic receipt, and to my surprise, one of the owners responded right away to apologize and sort it out with me. She assured me that their matcha lattes should not taste like that. Her great customer service alone turned our "sour" experience into a good one, and we'll certainly give them another chance our next time in Downtown Napa! read more

I always love a novelty concept and had to check this place out when my brother recommended it. You're greeted as soon as you walk in by a friendly face ready to help walk you through the experience. Cookies are the first thing to catch the eye, and just to the left in the counter space you'll find a menu. I'm not a crazy coffee connoisseur and don't have a set "go to", which can make coffee shops a toss up for me. I ordered a salted caramel vanilla latte, which for me, was not overly sweet and pretty perfect for what I'm looking for. I also had the coffee cake cookie, which wasn't what I expected flavor wise (not bad by any means). It's fun to watch the robot begin your creation, and at the end it even addresses you by name as it lets you know that your order is ready. The space also offers candle making and slime making opportunities. The chairs are comfy and this would be a perfect little work or reading space for me. read more

Kindled & Grounded is such a gem! I went for the grand opening and was sooo geeked to see a robot making my coffee. It was pretty packed for the grand opening, but the robot kept up to speed and it was not a long wait at all. The coffee was REALLY good too- I can be a bit of a "coffee snob," yet, the taste did not disappoint at all! The treats are obviously baked with love (delicious). The customer service is top tier- from the owners all the way to their staff! I returned another day to enjoy the candle-making experience with my BFF, and that turned out to be a SUPER cool "girl's night out!" As we curated our candles we chatted, laughed, sipped coffee, snacked on treats, and before we knew it our candle was ready to be boxed up to take home! My candle smells ahhhhmazing even when it's not burning. I could go on and on; it's just really exciting to see such a unique business brought to town that offers a place to gather and make memories. Let me start off with saying the staff and owner are super friendly and welcoming! I love their concept and idea, but their coffee is not that great. Their coffee cookie- amazing! Coffee comes in one standard size- but maybe 7-8$ for it? Standard for Napa but seems a little small for that price :( I had also seen somewhere that the machine didn't ask you to tip but tips were welcome for staff- machine actually does ask you if you'd like to leave a tip. Also wish they would offer pup cups for dogs:( read more

Love this place! It has such a beautiful atmosphere. It's clean, minimal, and inviting. The workers are super friendly and helpful! I loved watching the robot Kinny make other customers drinks and thought the concept was really cool! It's better to be open minded and just admire the technology and admit that it really is impressive. Friendly spot with Top notch lattes - I consider myself a coffee snob who prefers independent cafes over corporate chains. Not sure how I feel about robots becoming more a part of our day to day life - particularly cafe culture - but going with it for now! Nice assortment of treats to go with coffee drinks . So I went here on a Saturday night, not looking for a cup of coffee but to wait for a friend. I think I was helped by the one of the owners, Courtney. I purchased a chocolate chip cookie while I waited. The cookie was fire btw, but I wanted to give 5 stars to Courtney and the barista that was there. They saw that I was visibly anxious waiting for my friend, and both checked on me a few times before my friend showed up.
