Fear not, the factory (distillery) in Buda isn't going anywhere. The folks here told me the property and buildings are being taken over and another business will be coming in. It just makes me sad because we love it here. We love everything about it and took for granted that it will always be here. The tasting room and distillery are huge and so tastefully put together. See what I did there? Lol. The grounds are the epitome of Hill Country. Amazing views of wildflowers, brush, and sky all about. Lots and lots of outdoor patio seating, food truck area, large indoor seating, tasting bar, large ordering bars, gift shop, games, and lots more. I'm reviewing as they're leaving because this is another one of those draft reviews that I've been waiting to be finished for a long time. I gotta get better at that lol. Anyway, that matters not because this place still deserves an incredible review. Absolutely amazing drinks and people. It (was) a great way to wind down after a day of outdoor activity in Hill Country. A+++++

They have a menu with premade cocktails to order from, or you can create your own with their large varieties of flavors. Outside they have nice patio seating and yard games to play. I'd definitely return!

They had it playing on the TVs inside and the place was PACKED -- I'm sure both for the World Cup and father's day. They also had a live band playing in the afternoon outside; it was hot to be out there but the music coming into the covered area was still really nice. Of course it's a little pricey for what you get (both the beer and the food), and they sell out of things which is why I took off a star since the one thing I came to try was actually sold out that day sadly... but the schnitzel hot dog I had wasn't bad. Overall you come here for the ambiance and music, anyway. I'm sure they do beer tasting/tours, but we didn't sign up for that. They also have a very large gravel lot that fits everyone fine -- we got a parking spot within a few mins of arriving despite how busy it was.

So, if there's a place I like, I'm gonna go again and again. Vista is one of those places. I like their approach to beer making. They are vigilantly local when it comes to ingredients and offerings. The brewery/restaurant sits on over 20 acres in hill country. Large, clean, and modern interior with large outdoor seating areas and patio setups. Picnic tables, fire pits, etc. The food is good, gang. Love the grilled sausage board and the cheese board (all local cheese). Soft pretzel & cheese also super good. Lots of other items in the menu that look incredible. Sunday brunch too. Farm to table. The pours...oh, the pours. Excellent beers! I love the black pilsner (Dark Skies), the chocolate notes come through in such an aromatic and roasty manner. The pale ale (Driftwood Pale Ale) is the perfect summer pour. It's light, crisp, and refreshing. In addition to the regular pours, they've got a lot of seasonal offerings too. They also serve wine/wine cocktails and n/an options. Spending a day in hill country? Vista makes for a nice stop!

Stunning experience…read more This place has to be some of the best food my wife and I have EVER had. We came here to celebrate our anniversary recently after a close friend recommended it. Normally when I hear Italian I think of American Italian - heavy, one note, and leaves you feeling terrible after. Trattoria Lisina was none of those things. First, the location is beautiful. The entire restaurant is surrounded by Texas hill country beauty. The restaurant balances class and cozy in a way hard to explain. The wait staff is excellent and knowledgeable on the menu. Even the small details like their uniforms were excellent. The food is hard to describe. My wife spent an hour post dinner discussing how incredible it was. Every dish we tried was perfection. The fried elements were crisp. The raw elements melted in your mouth like butter. The entrees were executed in a way I've never had pasta! We will absolutely make this our "special place" for life occasions moving forward.

We didn't have reservations but were easily seated. Based on other reviews it seems that might be a hit or miss experience. I'd probably make a reservation to be safe next time. The food really is just like Mandola's though I think I prefer Mandola's because it is more casual and the foot matches that vibe. I had a peach Bellini and it was ok, not as much peach as I expected. I then ordered a Sangria and it was very good. We had the artichoke fritters as an appetizer and they were really good, especially with the aioli. We had the bolognese with a side meatball. Very good but nothing mind blowing and gnocchi which was the real winner. It was creamy and full of flavor. The bread was good, solid focaccia. I also had a birthday gelato but was too full to eat much of it so they sent me home with a fresh order of it. My bolognese warmed up nicely for lunch the next day too. I actually thought it was better. Overall, a lovely evening. The ambiance is beautiful of course. We were confused by paper placemats and no linens for such a nice restaurant. The interior dining room was kept empty with them using only the dining room with a view. That was interesting. The menu overall seemed a bit limited but we enjoyed our food.

Service - we have been here about 4-5 times, but service has never been too great or too friendly. The bar on the beer side is always pleasant but the tasting bar side always has a bit of a tiny rude vibe - and I don't mention it ever but I'm in the wine industry and we don't see this normally. Also tonight we were asked to move to a different table as they didn't prepare for a Harry Potter event ahead of time just as we settled in after a rough day (and our young pup finally chilled out). It felt we were being pushed out and the other table was by the window/door that was glass so I was cold. My senior mom was cold after we had found a great spot that was warm for her. Live music tonight was also quite off - I wouldn't suggest this place anymore. I'm not sure if in the last year it has gone down hill but it's no longer worth the drive for a mediocre experience. They gave many potential beautiful spaces but they don't utilize them, nor update them, so the vibe is just outdated. No music on the speakers can be heard when there isn't live music. So sorry to not write the best review here but it's honest.

I visited with friends during happy hour which I highly recommend especially if you're a fan of oysters. They offer solid specials on martinis, beer, and wine. If oysters aren't your thing there are a few comfort food options like chicken tenders, burgers, fish sandwiches, and fries. The menu is small and leans seafood-heavy, so it might not be ideal for picky eaters. During our visit they seemed a bit understaffed but our server did a good job managing, and we weren't in a rush. One thing to keep in mind which may be expected given the location the parking is mostly street or valet which can be a hassle. Overall if I'm in the area and looking for a quality happy hour, Royale Room is definitely on my list to revisit.

The grounds were very spacious and had lots of things to do from live music to a playground and more. When we arrived early to setup we got a chance to meet Bobby who was incredible. From helping us choose the perfect spot to moving tables and even setting up with us, he did it all. When it was windy and our decorations began to blow off the table he even took it upon himself to bring out his own decorations and staple gun to make sure things would work. If you're doing an event it's also pretty accessible from their parking lot which also has a lot of spots. The rest of our time after that was perfect. The live music filled the grounds and was pretty good. We were a little worried about food options, but their pizza was a hit amongst our entire group. They allowed for us to bring cake as well, which some places don't do. As the night got later and the sun set, it really was a beautiful spot. The walk up bar ensured drinks kept flowing and everyone was happy. Before we ended our night, we took a walk over to their goat area and to our absolute surprise were met there by Bobby who waived the entrance fee for all of us (roughly a dozen people). The goat experience was awesome and is something that truly separates this place from others. While we had an amazing time, planning was made a bit difficult due to some unresponsiveness from Parker, who we think is their events manager? It was difficult to get in tough with him by call or by phone and had been worrying leading up to our event, although it ended up turning out perfectly. We cannot express how grateful we are to Jester King and Bobby for all they did for us. Thank you for truly creating something memorable for family and friends.
