This was the first time I dealt with a dental emergency and I was genuinely SO impressed with the way he handled it. We were away for the weekend and it was impossible to find an open dental clinic nearby on a Saturday. We texted him and he called us back promptly and gave us the advice we really needed. I'm a nurse at the hospital and we don't even handle our emergencies that quickly! He was able to fit my son into the schedule that Monday and took such great care of him. The secretary is lovely and the office environment is perfect for kids. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

So I was…read moregoing to switch dentist because my son started having anxiety but it was really hard to get an appointment with a general dentist for a pediatric. So I asked them if they can book the appointment for my son to fill his cavities along with nitrous oxide because they had done it before. The receptionist was reluctant but she still booked it anyway. The day of appointment the female dentist approached my mother and snootily asked for us to book the appointment in the morning for next time. Like okayy, can we try to fill my son's cavities first. Then my mom spoke to my son and he agreed to listen to music and close his eyes while the needle came out and everything went smooth, no thanks to the dentist or staff. My complaint is that this is a PEDIATRIC dental office. Of course the kids may have anxieties when a needle come out. Instead they make snooty remarks and make it seem like my son is a difficult patient which is uncalled for. I've never experienced this with the dentist of the past that was here when we started coming about 10 years ago. It may be time to switch definitely since we're being treated like this

The customer service I received before I got there was great. They communicated with me about any issues and to confirm my appointment. When I got their. My kids loved the lobby which had toys and was very kid friendly. The ladies at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful as well. My kids loved their dentist visit. They've been to the dentist before just as a side note and they're 4 year old twins. My daughter loves her Disney Frozen sunglasses she got to sit in the chair with and the hygienist Tracy was fabulous very good with kids and great personality. She enjoyed the whole experience especially getting the good bag at the end with a toothbrush and toothpaste and tattoo. My son had a similar experience he got a Disney Lighting McQueen sunglasses. She doesn't rush you and you don't feel like you're bothering her. I think it's a really great resource to have a competent and kind receptionist because they are your patients first point of contact, and usually also the last. Onto the appointment, Dr. Lau seems to be incredibly popular and so getting an appointment will be at least a month in advance. There's barely any patients in the waiting room and his office utilizes the standup X-RAY and not the multiple bite guard and positions one if you know which I'm talking about. Really love how streamlined the process is and he takes his time during the appointment to listen to your concerns and discuss all of your options. Comparatively, my previous doctor never offered me a more expensive albeit conservative approach to fixing my dental issue and so I never got a choice to the dental procedure I would like to proceed with. Medical transparency is highly important and giving your patients all of their viable options relative to cost is important and so I value that in this dentist and hope you all do too. He doesn't try to up-sell the more expensive procedure and so the decision will always be yours in the end. Overall, both me and my partner had a great experience with our regular teeth cleanings and with my dental procedures. I decided to take the plunge during COVID-19 lockdown and am thrilled that I finally did. Beyond having a professional, friendly staff and an immaculate office, Dr. Halabi is just an obviously kind person. Being at his office feels a lot like walking into your cousin's house during Thanksgiving--everyone's super friendly (but professional) and you immediately feel welcomed each time. When wait times occurred, they were extremely minimal, and Dr. Halabi always made himself available to answer any questions I had about the process. I never told him that I have a low-key fear of dentists and orthodontists because it just never came up! I always felt like I was in good hands with the doctor and every tech. Lastly, the quality of the straightening was outstanding. I walked in with teeth looking a bit like broken piano keys and now I feel like they could be in a magazine. I simply can't recommend Dr. Halabi enough. Also, for parents out there, I repeatedly observed Dr. Halabi interacting with his teen patients, and his demeanor is every bit as on point as he is when dealing with adults.
