My daughter has been coming here for quite some time. She recently got her braces here and the staff was wonderful with the process. The staff here is very welcoming and accommodating. The only downside is, they don't do cleanings here for adults, but did provide a recommendation as I needed a new dentist. They provide a free consultation for Invisalign-- they run down the procedure, the costs, and can even give you a 3D modem if what your teeth will look like after the procedure is completed. read more

we just left from there and the assistant who was questioning my child criticized her one cavity making my child feel offended. yelling out " surprised it's not more than one " bc she eats chips twice a week or has a donut here or there. thanks to her offensive outburst my 12 year old child no longer wants to attend or eat and drink anything. Because of them I now have straight teeth and if I had to pick which orthodontist I went to all over again I would still pick here! I had my braces on for over 2 years and had recently gotten them off about 2 months ago. I wanted braces because my teeth looked absolutely terrible; at the time I was an 8th grader and I didn't want to finish off my High school years with bad teeth. I am now going into senior year and I feel so much confidence when I smile. I can show my teeth with out feeling self-conscious :). When they took off my braces I couldn't stop smiling. 2 star review should read as, Meh. I expected better. Braces were removed after nearly three years. The reception staff insisted that you sign the release that you are satisfied BEFORE having a chance to have your final consult with the doctor to discuss and advise. Follow up visits after being fitted for and now wearing retainers. I am disappointed with Dr. Mo and Dr. Moon who are not as attentive to concerns of how my teeth are now, both having gaps in areas of my teeth and having teeth now overlapping other teeth. Also, I have an overbite that I am not happy with. Also, the overlapping of teeth in my lower mandible (pre-molars overlapping the lower canines), may exactly have been the result of Dr. Moon instructing me to wear the rubber bands incorrectly when I had braces. I wore them as instructed by her for four months causing my canines to be pulled back at an angle. At the time, after she had reviewed my teeth and left the chair, I asked her to confirm the direction in which the rubber bands should be worn. She gave the instruction from behind the chair not bothering to consult beside me. I found out this was incorrect after four months of using the rubber bands consistently through a visit with Dr. Mo. In other words, I express concerns during these follow up visits about my teeth not being straight (as promised and assured by Dr. Mo when we started this process) and gaps that have opened up in between my teeth. Now, I am told their (the doctors) only concern is the bite, yet with crooked teeth...?? Thousands of dollars spent and hundreds of hours with traveling to the location, visits, and wearing the braces left me with disappointing results. read more

Before I review Brooklyn Orthodontics I'll give a bit of my history. A few years ago I decided to get a consultation at one of the most recommended orthodontists in Brooklyn. Being an adult male, I was trying to push for Invisalign, while this particular orthodontist was more comfortable with traditional braces and in my case suggested oral surgery on top of that. After visiting his referred oral surgeon, it seemed they already had a plan set and didn't not want to hear what I had to say. Mind you the surgery involved literally cracking my jaw open to realign it. After getting a second opinion on whether oral surgery is really my only option, I was told that I have a very minor case of underbite and that traditional braces alone would be able to get the teeth I want. I got back online searching for top Orthodontists in my area and this is where I ran across Brooklyn Orthodontics. Upon my consultation with Dr Mo, he assessed my case and before suggesting anything, he asked what I would like to change with my teeth. He explained that every body has different expectations of how they want their smiles to look. Finally a doctor who treats patients as individuals and not as an assembly line. I did end up with Invisalign braces and though the treatment plan was extended by another year+ due to a few refinements, all are covered under the initial plan. Making appointments is very easy, 9 out of 10 times you get the exact day and time you want and the wait once you arrive is never more than 15 minutes. Today I picked up my final retainers and can easily say that Dr Mo and the staff of Brooklyn Orthodontics made the past few years very smooth and pain free. And guess what, I got the smile I have always wanted and it was achieved without metal in my mouth nor getting oral surgery! Take it from this Elite Yelper who is not paid to review or a disgruntled patient. Brooklyn Orthodontics provides great service, I can't complain at all. The office is very modern and clean. They have great communication, constant call reminders and text. The staff is young and friendly. There is ample street parking in the area but don't forget to feed the meters. In my quest for the most awesome and perfectly straight teeth, I wound up in Dr Mo's office in Brooklyn. This Yelper is willing to travel to get the best It's a 20 min drive from LIC/Astoria - no problem for a Sat morning. Small commuting price to pay for teeth so straight you could line em up and play dominoes with them. The awning is large and clear - nice logo. The Brooklyjn Bridge as part of the design - I get it, very clever. Upon entry, office looks brand spanking new, clean and modern. Front desk very hospitable - told her my name and I was in after 35s wait. I got things to do and places to go. I'm making moves like Pablo Escobar - know what I'm saying? Dr Mo was professional, cracked a few corny jokes, we talked about sports,and I got my Invisalign on - straight teeth and I'm not showing an ounce of metal - he understands what this working professional needs! They tight but what do you expect? Minor discomfort to have the smile of the stars - like Burt Reynolds or Donald Trump. Price was customary for what other orthodontists were charging. They take my cc, so you know I'm gettin my hotel and airline points all the while looking good to hit the scene. 5 star review for this orthodontist - clean modern office, friendly staff, quality work, and he got my &ss out of there ASAP! Dr. Mohamed aljanabi is great. He took his time to explain everything to me although he was very busy and had patients in almost every room. The staff is very friendly, polite, and motivated. I have been a patient of Dr. Mo's for years and I can honestly say he is the best! I wouldn't go to anyone else and I highly recommend. He is extremely professional and great at what he does but also very friendly and personable. He always does right by me when it comes to my Invisalign treatments and is all ears if I have concerns about my teeth (which are now looking fabulous!). The office is very clean and organized all the staff are wonderful! They have children's movies playing all the time so it's one of the better offices for kids in my opinion! My son went to Dr. Rashmi for a routine check up, I hope that she wouldn't find anything, but of course, my 5 year old had a cavity. That is when I became nervous fearing that he would scream, cry and kick. From the first moment he sat in the dental chair, he did no such thing. Dr. Rashmi greeted him in her gentle ways and told him everything she was going to do before she did it which put him at ease. When she injected the local anesthetic he did not budge and thus tolerated the cavity filling without a problem. It was such a pleasant experience for me and him. I absolutely love Brooklyn Orthodontics!!!! My sons Brian and Brandon both come here for different specialist, Brandon who is 4 sees Dr. Rashmi the pediatric dentist every 6 months and she is amazing with the children. Brian is 12 and sees Dr. Mo, we were going to another doctor when he first began the process of getting braces the other dentist was so bad that I had to change my insurance just to change the doctor. They say I came into the office and meeting Dr. Mo for the first time I knew I had found the perfect Orthodontist for my son, he explains everything to you and his patient so your able to help your child throughout this process. He was the first doctor that I saw for a free consultation. Right away I fell in love with the people and with the staff. The office was clean and modern. I brought my kids to the dentist yesterday, both needing several fillings. This was their first time and they had local anesthesia. It was not fun, but because Dr. Rashmi has such a calming persona, both kids did great. The younger one cried a tiny bit, but the process was quick and easy. Kids were fine in a few minutes. I think they enjoyed the process. They were happy to watch Big Hero 6 on the big screen TV! They got an eraser and a toothbrush and a toy from the toy box. The office is extremely clean and has many forms of entertainment suitable for all ages ( children especially ). Staff was very cordial and being multi lingual is a plus.
