**UPDATE** After leaving my review, Dr. Kotlyar took the time to personally reach out to me to rectify the situation. I want to clarify that my original review was not meant for anyone to think the office was trying to hide their fees because that was not the case. I felt that the misunderstanding could have been avoided if the receptionists were more welcoming/friendly and more transparent about the costs prior to seeing the doctor. Possibly confirming costs when we arrived and "checked in", especially if insurance was an issue. I do take part of the blame for this occurring. I should have done my due diligence prior to calling dental offices to see what are the important questions I should be asking. I still stand by my original post that Dr. Kotlyar is a wonderful dentist and truly loves what she does. It's even more evident now with her kind gesture to want to resolve this unfortunate mishap. We came to an agreement and understanding-- I hope with that my children will be able to continue to have Dr. Kotlyar as their dentist for years to come. read more

Today was my sons first visit to Dr. Kotlyar. I dont know where to begin to share my appreciation for the patience, kindness, professionalism and personal approach she took while caring for my son. My son has severe anxiety when going to see doctors and especially when going to the dentist. We went to a special needs dentist who was recommended due to a supposed specialized approach (which of course costs a premium) and my son wouldnt even get into the dental chair with her. She wasnt even able to examine him because he was so nervous to even open his mouth near her. I was so nervous about taking him to amy new dentist but the second we stepped into Dr. Kotlyars office her staff were super kind, sweet, professional - and the place was immaculately clean and built with children and parents in mind. As soon as we were brought into the examination room Dr. Kotlyar immediately addressed my son in a super respectful, clear, kind way and was able to get him to easily sit through a thorough exam and even xrays! She explained everything she was going to do before she did it, both to him and to me, and by the end of the visit I was so relieved that I wanted to cry and hug Dr. Kotlyar from sheer relief and gratitude. (Im pretty sure I did hug her and Gd bless her several times! ) She also took the time to explain best practices and options for next steps (without pushing anything!) and as soon as we left the office my son said he wants to go back to see Dr. Kotlyar. Even after coming home he said he wants to go back to the dentist! (again- this is a child who was so traumatized from going to a dentist, mostly due to his own anxiety that we didnt go back for over a year and a half!) I could not recommend Dr. Kotlyar enough - she was truly a Gd send today for both my son and for this nervous mama! This is what medical care should look like for kids and adults alike but unfortunately often it does not. Especially because of all the other lackluster care we have seen out there I could not recommend Dr. Kotlyar enough. Thank you so much Dr! This was the best dental experience I've ever had..and my daughter of course. This practice is very clean and comfortable. When Christina brought us into the room she immediately gave my daughter a choice of toothbrush and cover. That helped relieve any anxiety that my child may have had. She then turned on a video for my daughter to watch, which made her even more comfortable. When Dr. Kotlyar came in she immediately went about playing with My daughter. Easing her in by counting her fingers, ears, then teeth. After cleaning she offered My daughter stickers and little treasures for being cooperative. My daughter is already saying she loves her doctor. Will be coming back with my youngest soon! read more

The office is modern, clean, and full of toys that can keep a kid busy while you wait to be seen. Dr Leona herself is magical, and really knows how to connect with kids and put them at ease. She takes time to explain and answer all your questions, and offer solutions that show she's not after taking financial advantage but offering the best health outcome. The only downside is my 3 year old keeps asking to go to The Doctor every time we get into the car for weeks after our appointment. read more

I never write reviews - just read them. This is how I found Dr. Leona. My 4 year old refused to even open her mouth at our family dentist. They said she that she likely had a cavity and we needed to find a pediatric dentist who could give her laughing gas. I searched on yelp and decided to give this office a try. Every single person who works there - from the receptionists, to the front desk people to the dental assistants to Dr. Leona are amazing and super super nice. They also have the effervescence and patience of the Disney Princesses at Disney world. The office is also super clean and modern and the rooms are all decked out for kids with their favorite cartoons and prizes and stickers. And everything smells like bubblegum. It feels more like a play space than a dentist office. We ended up getting a filling without gas and my daughter even agreed to come back two days later for a cleaning. I couldn't be happier. Today I took my son to see Dr. Leona. It was his first time seeing a dentist. My son is only 2 and I knew he would be extremely nervous and I was nervous for him. When we arrived the staff was extremely kind and friendly when greeting us. The waiting area in her new office is clean and beautiful filled with things any two year old or plus would go crazy for! There were iPads filled with games and YouTube channels, Lego tables, a huge screen television playing cartoons with Netflix options and tons of age appropriate books. My son didn't know what to play with first it was like a kid in a candy store! When we were ready to be seen I could see my son do a backwards walk out of the office and I knew it wasn't going to be easy to get him comfortable. Rest assured, Dr. Leona came to the rescue and pulled out all the bells and whistles. She turned on his favorite cartoon and let him pick out toys from a chest. When that didn't work she had a backup drawer with stickers of every imaginable cartoon character. She won him over with spiderman and the rest was history. On a professional level before Dr. Leona examined him and brushed his teeth she showed him all her instruments and related them to things he would like and understand at his age and made him feel extremely comfortable. She allowed him to pick out his toothpaste flavor and a take away toothbrush and I think he loved that he was able pick and choose everything himself that he loved. His fear turned into excitement. The rest was a breeze. We left with pearly whites and a big smile! We love you Dr. Leona for having enough patience to last a lifetime! For your gentle approach and knowledge of children! And especially for being the only person to be able to brush Alex's teeth without a fuss!!! read more
