I was told by my brother in law to avoid this Dentist, but this was a case of not doing my homework . A severe toothache can do that. I made an emergency appointment here , it seemed my insurance would cover extractions, cavities, cleanings and root canals--so that didnt appear to be an issue. After x-rays were taken at the office,it was determined that root canal and a crown were needed on the tooth in question and a number of other issues were found including a second root canal. I agreed to have the 2 root canals done over the next several weeks. They checked and rechecked my insurance, and told me the balance I would owe. There were 4 appts made. My balance was to be $240 after my coverage. I was fine with that After the first root canal procedure was completed, I was handed a bill by reception for $ 735 and she claimed there had been " an issue with my insurance" , and I wasnt covered to the extent that was originally determined. Charges after an original amount is determined and given to me are not the way I do business, Upon contacting my Dental plan people, they said I was covered 100% for root canals and crowns, and that the Dentist might have been adding their "own copayment". I wasnt impressed, and was told rudely by the billing prson that the charges will be what I was told. I didnt find this place professional at all and I wont go back. My brother in law was correct---he had billing issues there as well. read more

I am a patient of Dr Gutman for about 20 years and every time it's a great experience. She does the best work, unbelievable bedside manners, the most gentle dentist,when she does the shots you can barely feel it , always happy with her work from cleaning, crown or cavity it's never a disappointment. There is never a wait, she sees patients on time and if you do have to wait it's never more than 10 to 15 minutes. She has the best dental assistant Sofa ,always cheerful and happy, always call a day before to remind me about my appointment and also with great bedside manners. What a liar and a thief this lady is. When my wife and I were shopping for a dentist We came up on This dentist because of the good reviews so we promptly call them and asked if they take our insurance and are we fully covered and do we need to pay anything for the services that we need, they told us no, you are fully covered and do not have to pay anything. A couple of months later we get a bill in the mail for $150 saying we owe this amount. So, we called this dentist and she told us that we are responsible for these charges and when we explained to her that she told us that we did not need to pay anything, she kept cutting us off and telling us no, we must pay this amount. She refused to dismiss the charges even though she blatantly lied to us . My advice to you is stay far away from this dentist ,she is a liar and a thief. read more

Most of the doctors told me either I have to pay about 20 000 for everything (with insurance!) or some of them did not want to do any work at all. My implant surgeon recommended her to do the crowns. I have pretty bad teeth from childhood and been a regular at the dental office; always hated going to the dentist, until I was referred to Dr. Gutman by a friend. Went to Dr. Gutman on short notice, woke up in the morning with terrible pain. My wisdom tooth was killing me! She scheduled me that day at 2:30 and I was in the exam room by 2:20!
