So I don't like to write these kind of reviews but I am because it has to do with my kids. So I was going to switch dentist because my son started having anxiety but it was really hard to get an appointment with a general dentist for a pediatric. So I asked them if they can book the appointment for my son to fill his cavities along with nitrous oxide because they had done it before. The receptionist was reluctant but she still booked it anyway. The day of appointment the female dentist approached my mother and snootily asked for us to book the appointment in the morning for next time. Like okayy, can we try to fill my son's cavities first. Then my mom spoke to my son and he agreed to listen to music and close his eyes while the needle came out and everything went smooth, no thanks to the dentist or staff. My complaint is that this is a PEDIATRIC dental office. Of course the kids may have anxieties when a needle come out. Instead they make snooty remarks and make it seem like my son is a difficult patient which is uncalled for. I've never experienced this with the dentist of the past that was here when we started coming about 10 years ago. It may be time to switch definitely since we're being treated like this read more

I was pleasantly pleased with my experience here. I found them through my dental insurance website. I was delighted to find a dentist that specializes in kids dentistry nearby! The customer service I received before I got there was great. They communicated with me about any issues and to confirm my appointment. When I got their. My kids loved the lobby which had toys and was very kid friendly. The ladies at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful as well. My kids loved their dentist visit. They've been to the dentist before just as a side note and they're 4 year old twins. My daughter loves her Disney Frozen sunglasses she got to sit in the chair with and the hygienist Tracy was fabulous very good with kids and great personality. She enjoyed the whole experience especially getting the good bag at the end with a toothbrush and toothpaste and tattoo. My son had a similar experience he got a Disney Lighting McQueen sunglasses. He got all of questions answered and he came out if the chair with no cavities! He loved getting his goodie bag too. They great thing is now my kids love brushing their teeth even more and ask me to floss for them! I'm looking forward to my next visit here since my kids had fun ! read more

We had been coming to Kimball for years. Our most recent visit was disappointing. The dentist neglected to inform us his findings from a previous visit and that we needed to make a follow up appointment. My child now needs extensive unnecessary work because of this mistake. The bedside manner in the way he spoke to my son left a lot to be desired. I did not feel comfortable and will not be returning. read more

We've had our 3 kids all under age 4y to 2 other pediatric dentists so we review Dr. Zhao with lots of experience and credibility. Dr. Zhao and team are the best, most empathetic, experienced, and credible in every step of the visit: intake, scheduling, paperwork, billing, COVID procedures, cleaning, consultation, and followup all. Their having a parking lot is a precious rarity in Brooklyn. Their staff are totally entirely atop, responsive, and proactive about all pre-visit elements: pre-authorizing insurance (no surprises or displeasures as such), schedule confirmations, text reminders, COVID survey, and arrival call to ensure COVID metering. The staff from tech aides, front desk to Dr. Zhao herself are with such a positive attitude as to make our 3 kids also all feel comfortable which is all the difference. In 4 prior visit to 2 other pediatric dentists, nothing could be done but their crying resulting in missed problems and serious problems at that. We read 98 positive comments in a local group about Dr. Zhao as well as our own pediatric doctor's staff proclaiming how their own kids go to Dr. Zhao, and can ourselves now feel why. Lastly, the entire visit was 20m/kid from enter to leave even with all cleaning procedures done which is key to the comfort because other lesser pediatric dentists have a 30m wait then take 45m to do their thing. read more

My first time taking my kids to the dentist . And I must say they made my first experience soooo pleasant . My appointment was at 10 and I got seen at 10 . The front desk girl was so nice . The hygienist Tracy is sooo friendly and awesome with kids . She was singing to my kids . The dentist marina is such a sweet heart. Very very nice staff there . I absolutely adore the dentist here. She's always so patient, polite and gentle with my child. Not to mention the place is very kid friendly and clean! Wonderful receptionist. Nice clean waiting area, short wait time. But that's where it ends! As soon as we see Dr Zao the Chinese woman dentist , as if going to the dentist for a child and even adults aren't scary enough , this was the worst dentist I've seen. She's very. Cut throat and dry no warm greetings , very nonchalant, answered our questions very sharp and dismissive . I mean is she not primarily working with children ?! No smiles and rushed us out the door . Was thinking of switching dentists for the kids because it's closer to my home and accepts my insurance but never again will I come here for this dentist alone. Very rude . Change the dentist and we will be patients again, other then that gladly take my dental needs else where. read more

I have been bringing my son here for over 6 years. Dr Zhao is very straight forward and honest. My son used to kick and screams when we go see a different dentist prior to Dr. Zhao. My son has sensory issues and special needs. He is very calm with Dr Zhao. He trust her and is made aware of everything she is doing. I'm glad he has a dentist that he can feel comfortable with. Took my 7 year old son today after switching from Kings plaza dental because I was unhappy with the level of care and the service provided. Dr Jing Zhoa was very friendly and kind, she made my son feel very comfortable and relaxed. It was over all the best dental experience that he's had thus far, she answered all my questions and even joked around with my 7 year old. There was no long wait time and the office was immaculate, the receptionist and dental assistants were very kind and helpful. Deceivers.!! Starting from receptionist ending with Dr. Zhao Jing Ping. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! All I have asked was, "Why didn't ur receptionist clarify with me that I must have a cleaning before and tell me that she can't give me an appointment for filling now?" Doctor Zhao didn't even respond to my this question, instead with mocking view of her eyes kept repeating, that she will not do anything except cleaning now. Weird? Or? I normally do not leave a negative reviews. But stuff in this office motivated me to do so. I made an appointment for my sons over the phone. Receptionist didn't even ask me what is this appointment for, but I said for For Check up and filling. But receptionist by herself put my kids' apointment for cleaning without asking me. I took my time off and brought my kids to the dentist for ck up and filling. When I came here rude receptionist called Devina, told me that I'm here for cleaning. I'm like, what? What cleaning? My kids don't need any cleaning, they recently have done cleaning. So in short they decided by themselves that my kids need tooth cleaning and put them to the chair for cleaning. Later on doctor herself came out of her room and with mocking tone of her voice told me that this is their policy, that first visit must be a cleaning, even though we don't need it.lol. allegedly, that was their rules.!!! What?! Why didn't that receptionist tell me about these freaking rules of their office over the phone when I was making appointment??? And they are so disrespectful towards their patients and treating them very badly, that even they can change ur appointment time without telling u. U think u made an appointment for certain time whenever u can make it, but they can change the time of ur appointment easily without notifying u. The week of my toddlers appt i called to confirm in advance and on the date of the appt, upon arrival/checking in we were turned away because all the sudden a referral was needed and I was unaware. Why wouldn't that be mentioned when making the appt in the first place or when confirming my appt ?? I've gotta say that I hate this place. And yes, I know hate is a strong word-- that's why I'm using it. I've been coming to this dental office since March 2016, and one thing they never fail to do is disappoint in all areas, big and small. From the shitty wifi and trash reception to the wait times that can range anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, this place is almost certain to turn your smile upside down. Dr. Sinha is really sweet, but I've been correcting her on my name's pronunciation for over two years and she still can't get it right. Other than that, she's relatively good at what she does. And where do I even start with Dr. Vasenko?! He's never on time for any of my appointments and he's extremely unprofessional. One time he called me around 6 so he could put in a temporary tooth before my vacation. I waited in the office for an hour before his assistant came out and told me he still had 2 hours left on a procedure with a previous patient. I got impressions done for a tooth on February 23rd. He said it'll take two weeks for the tooth to be done. I made an appointment for March 23rd to have the tooth implanted. They cancelled my appointment a couple days before saying the tooth wasn't ready and offered no explanation why. I waited two weeks before calling again to check if my tooth was available. It was not. I waited another two weeks and it still wasn't available and again with no explanation. After almost three months and a million phone calls later inquiring about my tooth, it's finally available. I just can't seem to understand why I had to harass a dental office for something I paid $2,400 for. The receptionists are okay, I guess. I don't have any negative experiences with them. They could definitely be more professional but that goes for the entire office. Long story short, don't come here. read more

I normally don't write negative reviews because every experience is different, but because this has to do with my child I felt compelled to. I brought my 4 year old here for his first dentist experience. I wasn't impressed. I don't know what I expected, but it was definitely more. He is not one to open up to strangers yet along doctors, so while he was behind me clenched to my leg she was trying to talk to him. I knew he was going to be difficult, but being a pediatric dentist, I figured she would get it. She then brought us over to the chair and told him that we were counting his teeth. For a child who doesn't open up to strangers, he was no way going to do that. To be honest, I thought she was going to sit with him and show him the fake teeth and how to brush and try to get him to warm up to her. It was his first time ever! Instead, she had me lay in the chair so he could see it was ok. He got excited and wanted to sit in the big chair to look. She was telling him no until I said its fine! The kid already doesn't want to be there, now tell him he can't sit on the chair...LOL And once I was done she thought he was just going to jump in her chair. He cried the whole time. She had things behind her - sunglasses, fake teeth which I thought she would use to get him to relax and try to trust her, but she didn't. It was like she couldn't be bothered because he wasn't listening to her. As she gave him a b.s. cleaning - mind you I though she would have showed him all the tools instead of just using them, he was terrified. He cried. I think I would have also. She wasn't bad, it just was like she was "fake" trying. Then she tells her assistant to give him fluoride without even asking if it was ok to give him. This really got me. You don't know anything about him nor did you even ask me anything about him. If she would have asked I would have told her I brush his teeth with regular toothpaste...why would he need extra fluoride? in a pill no less? The assistant told him it was a "vitamin". I said no way - why would he need it? Was there something wrong with his teeth? She then said to her assistant don't give it to him. Like I was going to let her anyway. I was going to walk out after that but I really needed xrays to make sure his teeth are ok and figured I was paying to be there as it is. She did them, he was fine, then she charged me $160. Add to that I was in his doctors office two days later with a bacterial infection and sores on his gums. Coincidence? I could have just taken him to my dentist who took my coverage for the same experience. read more
