    # They take the liberty of canceling your appointments even without your confirmation!!!…read more If you ever want your doctor's appointment to be canceled, even without your knowledge, then you are in luck, and the Doctor's patient service manager takes all the credit and liberty in doing this. Personally, I don't know the doctor, but I saw really good reviews for her and her team. Thinking that they would all be professional and provide an excellent diagnosis and service, I scheduled an appointment with her by calling Sutter Health's patient care line back in June this year for a UTI/Vaginal discomfort diagnosis. I got very frustrated when they cancelled my appointment today (10/4) for the one I had on (10/6) without even asking for my confirmation. They called me around 11:30 am while I was still in an office meeting, and even before I could hear the voicemail and respond, I got a message on the Sutter Health app saying that my appointment had been cancelled. My husband and I kept calling the Los Altos office from noon to 3 pm to find out why and how they could proceed without my confirmation. We just kept hearing that the manager was still in her "lunch". Only after speaking with patient relations was I able to connect with the relevant person. The staff member (Betty) who spoke informed me that they had the right to cancel my appointment without my consent, and I should be aware of all the conditions related to OB/GYN that Dr. Shin would diagnose. We found these comments to be unprofessional and rude, lacking empathy for me. Additionally, in the reason for cancellation, they mentioned that since I have already established my patient care at another facility within Sutter Health, I should go there instead. This seemed absurd, as I had already scheduled an appointment with the Los Altos center earlier in June. How can a patient be expected to be aware of all this information? Isn't this the duty of a patient relations manager? In the end, the staff sounded a little rude and even said, "I know you have a patient relation number, and if you want to proceed with the grievance, go ahead." This kind of attitude in health care is unacceptable, and it is not fair to cancel a critical appointment without a patient's consent. My right as a patient to reasonable continuity of care, advance notice of appointments, and participation in care decisions was violated. I request that the Sutter Health Patient Care Team investigate this matter so that, in the future, no one can end up in a similar situation.

They tried everything from induction to breaking my water. But my baby was just too comfortable to come out. Mind you, I was going for all natural so I wasn't given any type of epidural anesthesia for the first 3 days. Until day 4, they wanted to try the maximum amount of induction medication and worried that I wouldn't be able to handle it, so I was then given epidural. One of the doctors broke my water on day 3 evening, hoping it would trigger the baby to go down more, but unfortunately didn't do much. Dr. Anderson came and greeted me on day 4; I told her that I recognized her because I was trying to get her to be my pregnancy OBGYN. She was the most caring doctor throughout the 4 days I was there. She came check on me as she promised every hour. She came in to let me know that she was performing a C-section for another mom so it would take longer for her to come back to see me. Then, she came right after she was done. In the evening of day 4, she recommended C-section because it was almost 24hr since my water broke, and the baby might be too big to come down any further any time soon. I asked if she can perform the C-section for me - although she was time for her to go home, she said yes and promised to be there for me. I agreed with the C-section and they started to get the surgery room ready. Dr. Anderson talked and explained every step throughout the surgery. My baby came out perfect and she was weighing at 9lbs. Perhaps that's why she wasn't going down. Again, how I till this day, wish I saw Dr. Anderson from day one of my pregnancy or my labor. I really think that my experience would be a lot better than it was. I recommend Dr. Anderson for all the moms out there.

My family doctor immediately referred me to Dr. Weber, and I couldn't be more grateful for that decision. Having gone through difficult pregnancies, I can confidently say that Dr. Weber is the best doctor I have ever encountered. He provided exceptional care for both me and my unborn baby from week five until delivery. He rarely took time off, given the high-risk nature of my pregnancy. When he finally sent out a notice to his old patients that he was with the Los Olivos group, I signed up to see him immediately. Please believe me when I tell you, there is no other doctor out there that I have met who has the bedside manner this man has. He is incredibly patient, kind and truly listens to you. He personally returns calls when there's an issue and he makes sure you are seen and heard. Many women have an issue with a male gynecologist, but I've had women doctors be the most dismissive of my concerns. Most recently I asked for extra testing for my own personal peace of mind and he heard me out, not dismissing my fears. For every decision I've had to make, he guided me through it with care and patience. If and when Dr Weber retired, I'll shed a tear, because his style of patient care is extremely rare and he will be sorely missed. Do not think twice about seeing him, he's one of a kind. There's a reason behind all these amazing reviews, it's him. He elevates patient care. Now if I could only find doctors in other fields who were as nice.

This doctor was rarely available for appointments, making it nearly impossible to discuss concerns, and their lack of oversight has had devastating consequences for my family. These are major red flags, yet they were ignored. I eventually had to insist on my own growth ultrasound. Even when that scan came back with concerning results showing my baby was lagging and in "brain-sparing" mode, the doctor failed to order a Doppler to check the blood flow. Because the doctor was dismissive and ignored the data, my placental failure went undiagnosed. My baby was born dangerously small (SGA) and was rushed to the NICU for respiratory distress. The trauma didn't end at birth. Because of the environment my baby was left in due to the lack of proper monitoring, my child is still facing significant health issues today. We are dealing with the long-term fallout of a diagnosis that should have been caught weeks earlier. This was a preventable failure in the standard of care. One of the nurses Minh and the PA Amanda were the redeeming grace for her office. And they won't let you switch doctors once you are assigned to one. Postpartum wasn't much better where she didn't correctly assess my diastasis recti, saying it was smaller than it actually was, but luckily I was set up with a PT who is helping me with it. I recommend seeing Dr Taggart or Dr. Hageman from the very beginning.

We tragically lost our baby boy at 31 weeks under the care of Dr. Nezhat Solimani. I'm writing this…read morereview to help other expecting parents make informed decisions. Choosing the wrong provider can cost your baby's life. The first red flag came early in the pregnancy. At 8 weeks, my wife experienced heavy bleeding, and we rushed to the ER. We were told it was a threatened miscarriage and that our OB should follow up within 24 hours. We contacted Dr. Solimani's office multiple times, but the only response we received was a brief email advising my wife to avoid exercise--no follow-up call, no expedited appointment, no concern shown, and no replies to our follow-up questions. She did not schedule any additional visits and waited until the next routine appointment nearly a month later. When we saw her in person, she acted as if nothing had happened. There was no mention of the ER visit or the bleeding, and to our shock, she had not recorded the incident in our medical file. We had to bring it up ourselves, and even then, she quickly brushed it aside as a non-event. That failure to monitor or document a serious event should have been a warning to us. Throughout the pregnancy, our appointments with her felt rushed--usually no more than 5-10 minutes. We constantly had to push for lab orders or follow up on missing results ourselves. She rarely reviewed or explained test outcomes unless we insisted, and even then, it felt like we were burdening her by asking questions. The overall attitude was one of dismissal and impatience. But the most devastating failure happened at 31 weeks. At a routine visit, we raised concerns with Dr. Solimani that we had noticed a significant drop in fetal movements over the last few days. Dr. Solimani brushed off our concerns, telling us not to worry. She performed a quick heartbeat check with a Doppler device that lasted barely a few minutes and then she said, "The baby is fine and cooking," and sent us home. She did not order an ultrasound. She did not perform a non-stress test (NST), which is the standard of care when decreased fetal movement is reported this far along. She did not send us to the emergency room for further monitoring. Any of these steps could have revealed that our baby was in distress. Any of them could have led to early intervention, including delivery. But none were taken. Our son died the next day. My wife then had to go through the agony of delivering our baby boy--already deceased --while fully awake and aware. No mother should have to endure that because her doctor failed to act. The pain of losing a child is indescribable. But knowing that his death might have been preventable--with basic, standard medical care--adds a layer of grief that is unbearable. We trusted Dr. Solimani to guide us safely through this pregnancy. That trust was not only misplaced--it cost us our child. If you are under her care and something feels wrong, do not stay silent. Push for answers. Demand proper testing. Seek a second opinion or go straight to the ER. Your instincts matter. Do not let your concerns be minimized like ours were. What happened to our family should never happen to anyone else. This loss will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
