Do Not come here. I was rushed to the ER by an ambulance 6 hours after my egg retrieval (severe internal bleeding and blood loss). I was hospitalized at Stanford for 3 days. I couldn't walk and was on pain meds for 3 weeks. It took me almost 3 months to feel somewhat whole again. The entire experience from the start was terrible. My doctor wasn't particularly warm or caring. The instructions for administrating the medications were confusing. Right after the retrieval procedure I was in a lot of pain but they kept ensuring me it was okay and pressured me (I felt) to leave. When I called them during my emergency they were not very responsive or helpful. They reminded me that I have signed a waiver for the procedure and there's nothing else they could do other than calling an ambulance for me. There was also some confusion about how many eggs were successfully retrieved and it took about a day for them to figure it out. Spring offered me a discount if I wanted to do another round with them. No thank you, never again.

As an egg donor, I did not have the best experience at Spring Fertility. You can clearly see why if you read through the reviews. This was my third egg donation so I'm pretty familiar with the process. However, Spring Fertility has A LOT that they need to improve on especially if they want to have more than 3.5 stars on Yelp lmao. 1. All the medications are shipped to you in advance so you have to store them (takes up space in your fridge) and if you're not local, travel with ALL OF THEM which is really annoying. The other clinics I've worked with would give me a couple of medications at a time and provide more during appointments when I was running low which I think is much better. 2. The nurses do everything here. I mean good for them but if it wasn't for a weekend appointment, I probably wouldn't have met the doctor performing the egg retrieval until my actual egg retrieval day. They should have the doctor meet their patients at least during the first couple of appointments so they can get familiar with the doctor instead of having a random doctor whom they've never met to operate on them. 3. They lack communication here. I check in everywhere with my last name because my first name is difficult for most people to understand/grasp or they're not familiar with it. One of the nurses told me to just check in with my first name because they don't have my last name on their system. That it's shown as "#### DONOR'S FIRST NAME" but when I checked in with my first name at the next appointment, they asked me for my last name???? Please make it make sense. There's a reason why I say my last name. People who have common/simple first names don't understand the struggle. 4. So with the other clinics I worked with and they were local, I was able to bring in my used sharps in the provided sharps container for proper disposal but Spring Fertility apparently has a policy that they don't take used sharps from their patients. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE when they are an IVF clinic/medical facility where the majority of their patients are using needles. So they expect their patients to pay $$$$$ for treatment and then they still have to drop off their used sharps at an off-site facility? Keep in mind, I'm not local and traveled to Sunnyvale as an egg donor so I have been taking Uber/Lyft back and forth from my hotel to the clinic for appointments. So I have to be inconvenienced to Uber/Lyft somewhere else to properly dispose of my used sharps. SMH. 5. Last but not least, I actually had ran out of medication and I needed medication urgently because I was flying back home for one day to attend a wedding. I couldn't get a hold of my nurse or anyone on my care team (on a Thursday afternoon) so I had to push my flight back and missed the wedding ceremony because I wasn't able to get extra medication in time before my flight. THIS WAS NOT OKAY. This is exactly why medications shouldn't be shipped in advanced and should be given to patients several days in advance at a time so this doesn't happen. Additionally, when I called the receptionist to get a nurse to speak to, she told me that a nurse will call me back in a few minutes but they never did. The SAME receptionist who brought out my extra medication took it out from the back and then decided to hold on to it for 15 minutes at the desk before actually giving it to me - why? I had a plan to catch and she decided to take her sweet time to give me medication the requires to be refrigerated. WTF! I read another review that they're funded so it makes sense now that they don't really care about their patients. We're just a number to them and help them make money. I actually got another match for egg donation in December and my (egg donor) agency wants to use Spring Fertility again but I'm going to request to use another clinic. The headaches, inconveniences and incompetence at this location is not worth my time. I hope the other Spring locations are better than this one. The only positive thing that Spring has is that most things are managed through the Salve app so it's easy to track medications and communicate with your nurse/care team.

That decision turned out to be life-changing. Now at age 40, Stanford Fertility has given my family so much joy. We have a healthy, happy 22-month-old son, and I am currently 7 weeks pregnant with our baby girl. We are about to graduate to obstetrics, a milestone that still feels surreal. Because my father passed away when I was very young, I do not know much about my family medical history. Stanford's genetic testing gave us tremendous peace of mind. We were able to screen our embryos for many genetic conditions in addition to my own genetic testing, which helped us move forward with confidence. We worked closely with Dr. Nakajima, Dr. Milki, and the entire Stanford Fertility team. They always made me feel comfortable, took the time to explain each step, and treated us with compassion and respect throughout the process. We chose Stanford Fertility over other programs because of Stanford's rigorous hiring practices, and we truly believe they employ the most exceptional physicians and staff. From the very beginning, they felt less like a clinic and more like a family--supportive, communicative, and genuinely invested in us every step of the way. At our first visit, we sat down with Dr. Polanski for a thorough, thoughtful conversation about our wishes and goals. Together, we created a clear plan that made us feel confident and cared for from day one. The nursing and front desk staff were truly amazing--kind, responsive, and always reassuring. We knew we could call with any question or concern and receive a thoughtful response within 24 hours, which made such an emotional process feel manageable and supported. We were incredibly fortunate to be successful on our first attempt at every step, from egg retrieval to insemination. We truly believe Bay IVF's holistic approach played a huge role in that success. In addition to excellent medical care, we were given guidance on nutrition and recommended foods to help optimize our chances, which made us feel seen as whole people--not just patients. We stated our initial visit in July 2024, and August 2025 we welcomed the birth of our boy/girl twins. We did implant 2 embryos and both implanted successfully. We stayed with Bay IVF until nearly the 2nd trimester to ensure a successful start of the pregnancy. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy and the twins were born full term and healthy! Dr Polansky and Megan guided us throughout the process and we had more than one cycles of IVF (retrieval, fertilization and transfers). Although we had our heartbreaks, we finally got our baby. The whole process at Bay IVF was very smooth, easy going and felt family like as opposed to a clinic. We enjoyed that. Along the way, we decided to not go for PGT testing. A lot of our myths were busted. Our highest graded embryos did not result in pregnancy while our lowest graded embryo gave us a beautiful healthy baby. Shout out to the staff for being kind and helpful every single time. Thank you to their embryologist also. IVF in general is stressful, expensive and physically taxing for women. At Bay IVF we felt we were being well taken care of. Special thanks to Megan. The email & phone communication with her was so thorough that we rarely had any doubts, and when we did, she was always reachable and super helpful. My wife and I could not be happier. Our dream of becoming parents got fulfilled here, we are eternally thankful to Bay IVF for that. The only suggestion I'd like to give Bay IVF would be to have a dedicated room for semen collection. To anyone reading this and are deciding on a clinic, my wife and I would wholeheartedly recommend Bay IVF.

Dr. Yao has truly changed my life…read more When I was first diagnosed with Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), an IVF clinic doctor told me that having a child naturally would be nearly impossible--and that IVF was my only option. I felt devastated and overwhelmed. I wasn't emotionally ready for IVF and couldn't stop thinking about the physical and emotional toll it might take on me. Around that time, I found Dr. Yao while searching for fertility support on Yelp. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Dr. Yao took a holistic and deeply personalized approach. She ordered comprehensive lab tests--not just focused on fertility, but on my entire body's well-being. She helped me understand that fertility is not isolated; it's part of a complex, interconnected system. Through her care, I discovered that in addition to POI, I also had insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances. Dr. Yao addressed each of these issues with a customized treatment plan, one step at a time. After every visit, she would give me clear, practical, and actionable steps to improve both my fertility and my overall health. Over the course of six months, we closely monitored my hormones and lab markers while I worked on building a healthier lifestyle. And then--I got pregnant naturally. Throughout my pregnancy, Dr. Yao has continued to support me with regular check-ins, lab monitoring, supplements, and medications as needed. Her advice is always backed by the latest research, and her knowledge is incredibly up-to-date. I've felt confident and reassured every step of the way, knowing I'm receiving the best possible care for my unique situation. In fact, I've felt more energetic and healthier during this pregnancy than I did during my first one. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Yao and credit her for so much of this journey. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for real, root-cause solutions to infertility or any women's health issues--not just band-aid treatments. After a traumatic first pregnancy and postpartum preeclampsia, I was considered high-risk during my second pregnancy as well. Around 32 weeks, I started seeing elevated blood pressure readings along with severe white coat syndrome. I was anxious and searching for support, and that's when I found Viji. Even before our first consultation, I had a strong feeling that she was God-sent -- a true blessing -- and that feeling only grew stronger with time. Viji stepped in with so much calm, confidence, and care. She took everything upon herself and made sure I was prepared in every possible way -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. She guided me through provider decisions, helped me find the right midwifery care, and thoughtfully connected me with an exceptional midwife, Lin Lee, who aligned perfectly with my needs. Because of Viji's discernment and support in building the right team around me, my entire experience was completely different from my first pregnancy. The birth itself felt smooth and empowering -- no tears, no episiotomy, and my blood pressure remained well controlled throughout. What truly sets Viji apart is how deeply she cares and how holistic her approach is. She took the time to understand my full medical history and personal background, worked to get to the root of my previous complications, and helped me navigate provider complexities with clarity and confidence. She also combined her Jyotish knowledge to help identify the most supportive and auspicious timing for my induction, which brought me an incredible sense of peace and trust going into labor. During labor, Viji was there through it all. She supported me with Ayurvedic care, calming massages, constant reassurance, and gentle guidance. She made sure I was comfortable, grounded, and never felt alone. She even stayed with me through the entire night -- watching over me, advocating for me, and helping me make important decisions when I was exhausted and vulnerable. Because of Viji, my second birth experience became healing, empowering, and beautiful. She didn't just help me prepare for birth -- she helped me heal from my past experience and trust my body again. I will always be grateful for her presence, her wisdom, and the love she brought into one of the most important moments of my life. Through our work together, I've gained a deeper understanding of my inner makeup, which has empowered me to take greater control of my life and has profoundly impacted how I show up as a mother and wife. # They take the liberty of canceling your appointments even without your confirmation!!!…read more If you ever want your doctor's appointment to be canceled, even without your knowledge, then you are in luck, and the Doctor's patient service manager takes all the credit and liberty in doing this. Personally, I don't know the doctor, but I saw really good reviews for her and her team. Thinking that they would all be professional and provide an excellent diagnosis and service, I scheduled an appointment with her by calling Sutter Health's patient care line back in June this year for a UTI/Vaginal discomfort diagnosis. I got very frustrated when they cancelled my appointment today (10/4) for the one I had on (10/6) without even asking for my confirmation. They called me around 11:30 am while I was still in an office meeting, and even before I could hear the voicemail and respond, I got a message on the Sutter Health app saying that my appointment had been cancelled. My husband and I kept calling the Los Altos office from noon to 3 pm to find out why and how they could proceed without my confirmation. We just kept hearing that the manager was still in her "lunch". Only after speaking with patient relations was I able to connect with the relevant person. The staff member (Betty) who spoke informed me that they had the right to cancel my appointment without my consent, and I should be aware of all the conditions related to OB/GYN that Dr. Shin would diagnose. We found these comments to be unprofessional and rude, lacking empathy for me. Additionally, in the reason for cancellation, they mentioned that since I have already established my patient care at another facility within Sutter Health, I should go there instead. This seemed absurd, as I had already scheduled an appointment with the Los Altos center earlier in June. How can a patient be expected to be aware of all this information? Isn't this the duty of a patient relations manager? In the end, the staff sounded a little rude and even said, "I know you have a patient relation number, and if you want to proceed with the grievance, go ahead." This kind of attitude in health care is unacceptable, and it is not fair to cancel a critical appointment without a patient's consent. My right as a patient to reasonable continuity of care, advance notice of appointments, and participation in care decisions was violated. I request that the Sutter Health Patient Care Team investigate this matter so that, in the future, no one can end up in a similar situation.
