They always made us feel very at ease during the process. I had Dr Sokalska as my main doctor. At first I wanted the other doctors because I had read their reviews on Yelp and there weren't any reviews specific to Dr Sokalska, but I ended up really liking Dr Sokalska! I assume she's newer to the practice but she's so patient with all the questions and she's super funny too. She was updating us thoughout each step of our process and I never felt like we were bothering her with our questions. I had a really good outcome so far using their freezing services! If you are using your workplace benefits I highly recommend Nova as they are responsive and communicative and sometimes I had issues with Maven my provider and Laura was super caring and said if any funny business comes up again that she would contact their own Maven rep herself which I so appreciate! My friend went to a different clinic and so far didn't yield the experience or outcome she wanted so I'm super glad I decided to drive a little further out to see the wonderful staff at Nova!

She told me I was too fat for the weight limit on their procedure table and dismissively asked "you can lose the weight, right?" I haven't seen never encountered a medical facility with a table that couldn't hold me and honestly if she couldn't treat me as I am, the conversation should have ended there. 2. She argued with me about my own medical conditions in regards to the anesthesia I'd need for egg retrieval. It's not her area of expertise and the correct answer should have been, "given the complications you've had, let's set up a meeting with our anesthesiologist to see if they are comfortable doing your procedure here." Or even "we've had patients with your set of issues before." 3. She shamed me for not starting IVF sooner. Even though I've been following the medical advice of another fertility doctor. There were a couple other things, but these were the most egregious. Her overall attitude and demeanor were extremely blunt for someone that is helping people through an emotionally challenging period. She didn't seem equipped to handle my case and given what she said to me, I didn't want to try. Highly disappointed given the personal recommendation we had going in.

Highly individualized and Empathetic Care: The entire experience felt highly individualized. Dr. Polansky is refreshing and honest--he doesn't sugarcoat anything, but he delivers information with immense empathy and has excellent bedside manner. He truly cares. 3. At our first visit, we sat down with Dr. Polanski for a thorough, thoughtful conversation about our wishes and goals. Together, we created a clear plan that made us feel confident and cared for from day one. The nursing and front desk staff were truly amazing--kind, responsive, and always reassuring. We knew we could call with any question or concern and receive a thoughtful response within 24 hours, which made such an emotional process feel manageable and supported. We were incredibly fortunate to be successful on our first attempt at every step, from egg retrieval to insemination. We truly believe Bay IVF's holistic approach played a huge role in that success. In addition to excellent medical care, we were given guidance on nutrition and recommended foods to help optimize our chances, which made us feel seen as whole people--not just patients. We stated our initial visit in July 2024, and August 2025 we welcomed the birth of our boy/girl twins. We did implant 2 embryos and both implanted successfully. We stayed with Bay IVF until nearly the 2nd trimester to ensure a successful start of the pregnancy. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy and the twins were born full term and healthy! We are eternally grateful for our time with Bay IVF and wholeheartedly recommend them to any family hoping to grow theirs.

I felt devastated and overwhelmed. I wasn't emotionally ready for IVF and couldn't stop thinking about the physical and emotional toll it might take on me. Around that time, I found Dr. Yao while searching for fertility support on Yelp. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Dr. Yao took a holistic and deeply personalized approach. She ordered comprehensive lab tests--not just focused on fertility, but on my entire body's well-being. She helped me understand that fertility is not isolated; it's part of a complex, interconnected system. Through her care, I discovered that in addition to POI, I also had insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances. Dr. Yao addressed each of these issues with a customized treatment plan, one step at a time. After every visit, she would give me clear, practical, and actionable steps to improve both my fertility and my overall health. Over the course of six months, we closely monitored my hormones and lab markers while I worked on building a healthier lifestyle. And then--I got pregnant naturally. Throughout my pregnancy, Dr. Yao has continued to support me with regular check-ins, lab monitoring, supplements, and medications as needed. Her advice is always backed by the latest research, and her knowledge is incredibly up-to-date. I've felt confident and reassured every step of the way, knowing I'm receiving the best possible care for my unique situation. In fact, I've felt more energetic and healthier during this pregnancy than I did during my first one. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Yao and credit her for so much of this journey. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for real, root-cause solutions to infertility or any women's health issues--not just band-aid treatments. She is compassionate, insightful, and genuinely invested in your long-term well-being. Thank you, Dr. Yao!

Amara has been my number one experience in the healthcare/wellbeing world so far (and likely for…read moregood). She's gone above and beyond for me as a patient. For starters, she dove deep into my medical history/records, ensuring she captured all the details correctly and missed nothing. I was surprised she remembered every small detail I had told her, given that my issue is a 7-year-old neuropathy + CRPS combo. Due to the complexity of my condition, she tried different Chinese medicine approaches and strategies. I have no doubt other practitioners would have dismissed me as a patient (and they actually did) because of not seeing quick results. Instead, she proactively consulted mentors and trusted colleagues to get feedback and other perspectives on my condition. Thanks to Amara's not giving up and her continued treatment, I can now enjoy a lower pain level phase and just have an easier day-to-day life. It makes a huge difference to my family and me. On top of my chronic issue, I once woke up with very scary tunnel-syndrome-like symptoms in my good limb. I really freaked out because I could not afford to lose any more function or tolerate any more pain. Fortunately, I was seeing Amara that same day. To my astonishment, she got rid of the issue in that one session. Boom. Symptoms fully gone the morning after. I really could not believe it. I thought I would need to embark in another never-ending healthcare nightmare. Had I known Amara when my neuropathy + CRPS first started, my last 7 years would have been so different... All of the above would already make an outstanding healthcare experience. However, what definitely sets Amara apart is that SHE CARES. As a patient, I never felt like a number, a checklist, or a protocol sheneeded to get over with. It does make a difference to her if I am in more or less pain, if something in my week flared up my symptoms, whether my camping trip impacted my pain, and so on. And she'll do whatever she can to help me. I am so grateful to Amara. I just hope that more people in pain out there can get to her practice much sooner than I did.

I highly recommend Stanford Fertility…read more At age 34, my husband and I chose to freeze embryos, which allowed me to return to school for my nursing degree without the fear that I might lose my ability to have children later in life. That decision turned out to be life-changing. Now at age 40, Stanford Fertility has given my family so much joy. We have a healthy, happy 22-month-old son, and I am currently 7 weeks pregnant with our baby girl. We are about to graduate to obstetrics, a milestone that still feels surreal. Because my father passed away when I was very young, I do not know much about my family medical history. Stanford's genetic testing gave us tremendous peace of mind. We were able to screen our embryos for many genetic conditions in addition to my own genetic testing, which helped us move forward with confidence. We worked closely with Dr. Nakajima, Dr. Milki, and the entire Stanford Fertility team. They always made me feel comfortable, took the time to explain each step, and treated us with compassion and respect throughout the process. We chose Stanford Fertility over other programs because of Stanford's rigorous hiring practices, and we truly believe they employ the most exceptional physicians and staff. We are deeply grateful for the care we received and for the joy Stanford Fertility has brought to our family.

Even before our first consultation, I had a strong feeling that she was God-sent -- a true blessing -- and that feeling only grew stronger with time. Viji stepped in with so much calm, confidence, and care. She took everything upon herself and made sure I was prepared in every possible way -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. She guided me through provider decisions, helped me find the right midwifery care, and thoughtfully connected me with an exceptional midwife, Lin Lee, who aligned perfectly with my needs. Because of Viji's discernment and support in building the right team around me, my entire experience was completely different from my first pregnancy. The birth itself felt smooth and empowering -- no tears, no episiotomy, and my blood pressure remained well controlled throughout. What truly sets Viji apart is how deeply she cares and how holistic her approach is. She took the time to understand my full medical history and personal background, worked to get to the root of my previous complications, and helped me navigate provider complexities with clarity and confidence. Nurse Kylie was absolutely wonderful and always responded to my questions right away, which brought so much reassurance during such an emotional process. This review is for Children's Neurology…read more My daughter has had migraines for about 5 or 6 years. She was assigned Dr. M. If I say the name yelp will remove the review. During covid my daughter had video visits or a phone call. Over the years trying to get a neurology appointment here is damn near impossible. You have to schedule literally a year ahead of time. They need to hire more doctors, it's pathetic. My daughter was on rizatriptqn 10mg. I asked if she could have the one that dissolves under the tongue because thats what I take and it hits quicker because it is absorbed under the tongue. He didn't want to do that. At school when she took the 10mg it would make her throw up every time so school would send her home every single time. The clinic tried saying that my daughter wasn't seen in 2-3 years. I told them last year we had a phone appointment with Dr. M to lower the dose, but apparently they don't keep track of that. I told them look at when the meds were put in to change to 5mg... yea thats right, then they found that it hasn't been 3 years since we spoke with the doctor. This is probably the most unorganized office I have ever dealt with. They said that we needed to come in person for a followup which we did. I asked if she can take a preventative medicine since she gets so many migraines every month. He said no. We asked about any other options. So he changed the meds to sumatriptan which didn't do a thing. I had to take he to the ER for a migraine because she didn't have any meds that worked. But this office could care less. The E.R. asked about her migraine history and I told them about her doctor and what she has tried without anything helping greatly. We were going on vacation so I called and asked if the doctor can refill rizatriptan because sumatriptan didn't work. Never got a response. I sent a message on myhealth and called every day that week. I was told every single day they would have the doctor call me. I told them we were leaving on vacation at the end of the week so need it asap. They messaged me on myhealth saying he may want to change to a different medicine. Its never a good idea to try a new med when your going on vacation let alone going to another country. I called again and again and they kept telling me he would call me back. Never happened. It's been 3 weeks,,,, 3 freaking weeks and NOTHING. Thank God she hasn't had a really bad migraine. So this last week.... again calling everyday and I told them Monday I want my daughter to have a new doctor. Again they tell me someone will call me. I call back again Wednesday and they again said I would get a call and that it went to the manager and they saw my notes. They said if I don't hear anything by Friday to ask to talk to the manager. Which I did and they didn't transfer me to the manager. They said Tracy is the manager and was talking to Morgan about it; That for sure one of them would call me within a couple hours. He kept putting me on hold, I was on the phone for over an hour which is outrageous. The guy said he needed to put me on hold again for about 4 minutes, this was about 6 times by now. I told him no, that I have other phone calls to make and asked if they are for sure calling me today, he said yes, they are figuring it out. I said highly doubtful they are going to call me because Ive heard that at least 12 times. No shock, no response. It shouldn't be THAT hard to get a different doctor, that my daughter needs her meds, this is outrageous. Im going to call my daughter prime doctor to request a referral to a different Neurology place. I wouldn't recommend bringing your kids to neurology because you wont get seen in a timely manner (can't schedule even a phone appointment for 6-12 months), never ever get a call back when they say, rarely get a response on myheqlth and NEVER get a call from the doctor when the nurses claim they will call.
