Spirit is a big McDonalds like store for Halloween shoppers, the Costume shop had the same halloween costumes, plus many higher end costumes. You'll enter through a back alley and immediately be greeted by your very own helper who gives you ideas on what you're looking for. Being extremely last minute (like every year) for my Halloween costume I was a bit worried everything would be picked over. Not to worry, I found a perfect "Summer of Love" 50th Anniversary costume that will bring me back to the 60's and living on Haight Street. It was around $70 for the three pieces (Jacket, undershirt and necklaces) which beats buying cheap, unoriginal costumes on Amazon. Thanks for making the last minute experience a great one:)

Unprofessional, rude and threatened to call the police!…read more My party planner and I ordered 60 sets of plates and utensils for a surprise party. When I returned with my cousins two days later, I expressed that I was disappointed that they didn't set aside the large order. The primary issues started when we asked to count the items to verify quantities before signing off for them. Krishna, the sales girl became flustered and we found that they short on the items when the manager came out and insisted quite bluntly that I needed to sign the rental contract. When I stated I could not until we got the actual number of items on the invoice as we would be charged for these on return. The manager, got the owner on the phone and she, "Told us she didn't want our business and to leave" and they would return our money. At this point several clients where leaving, the manager and Krishna became expressly aggressive and threatened to call the Police, even though we were actually leaving. CRAZY! I was happy to give my money to another business. My advice: Take your money elsewhere! When you are forced to sign a contract based without having all the items, WATCH OUT! They will charge you for an ENTIRE set when you return. These guys are CON ARTISTS!

I was a bit stuck for ideas but after speaking to the McCullochs Balloon Center staff I went for an assortment of Star Wars Balloons including a 6 ft tall Stormtrooper. That was his favourite. We added a few other Star Wars themed balloons and still stayed within my budget. They offered a delivery service but I was able to pick them up myself so I didn't have them delivered. Thank again to McCullochs for taking the time to discuss with me on the phone and helping me find exactly what I was looking for to make my husbands day extra special.
