My God. It's like the cave of wonders from Aladdin, or Smaug's horde from the Hobbit. Walking in this place is like walking into some kind of techno nerd paradise. I walked in the door, looked to my left, and there was a Nintendo Power Glove. Yes, as trite and useless a product as ever produced, but I'd never seen one. And there it was. The store left it there with the impulse buys, probably because it had no box. And inside, it's like staring into the face of God. The world of electronic entertainment unfolds as you pass by. There are Pong boxes for sale, original and knock off. There are Odyssey and Vic 20 computers, Atari 2600 & 7800s, Intellivisions, Coleccovisions, and from there up to Xbox 360s and Playstation 3s. Seriously, I've never seen a Neo Geo or TurboGraphix in person before. Plus, games for all these systems, and accessories. Anyone remember the Game Genie? These guys do. Plus, there's vinyl records and laser discs for sale. They had Commando playing on an HD tv. It's a wonderland in there. Man, I think I'm gonna cry. read more

I was able to purchase Pokémon Soul Sliver for a reasonable price, much better than what eBay was offering. Not only that the person who was working at the time of my visit gave me 10% off which was great considering how high tax is here in Canada. When I first came here me and my friends thought the place looked sketchy considering it was in a empty plaza. When we walked we were met with a bunch of Vinyls and video games. At first it was overwhelming, but everything was organized enough to be able for you to easily look for what you want. The Animal Crossing Amiibos seemed overpriced, due to the fact that they didn't come with the original box, they were selling them for $10, which is the same amount for the Amiibo with the box. I recommend this place for anyone who's visiting Canada and is a avid collector, you'll definitely find some unexpected things. Had a fab time at Toyratt in Milton - Classic/retro video games, vintage toys, vinyl, vhs, cassettes, sports cards/memorabilia and more Ivano has a fantastic collection and is very passionate about what he does. I enjoyed chatting with him so much and he was very helpful. It's a fam favourite now for movies, music and games!!! I came away with a lot of great stuff and can't wait to visit again! read more

Okay so this place is awesome. I'm from the US and I've only been to Canada twice and each time I make a point to visit this place! The owner is totally awesome and cool and the store has such a groovy selection of stuff - so I'm always excited to go. You're missing out if you don't at least pop in to see what they have. Do yourself a favour, seriously, and check them out if you are into hard to come by nostalgia. You won't be disappointed! Also, there is a review saying that the owner is shady and that actually makes me mad because the owner is the exact opposite of shady. He's one of the coolest people I have met in all of Canada and he doesn't deserve that kind of bad mouthing. He's a groovy guy who gave me a discount on something I bought from him for no other reason than that he is a good guy. I'm disappointed in whoever left that review calling him shady because he definitely is not. And this is coming from a girl who lives in the US - believe me, I KNOW shady people and this guy ain't shady in the least. read more

Awesome store!!! Lots of amazing things; boomboxes, games and consoles, comics and vinyl. I went with a group of friends and we all walked out with something. The owner was super nice. I purchased 11 N64 games and not only did he give me a % off but he also threw in a few games for me to try (that were out of my normal genre of game play). All the games were in great condition, they all work and they were all a fair price. Great store. Great prices. I will definitely be back in the near future!!! read more

The owner is shady and will try to rip you off any chance he gets. Save your money and go to a garage sale. Place is a dump. Don't root through his stuff without first getting a price. He'll say he has to verify price when you get ready to pay then he'll jack it up. Terrible. read more

Lot's of stuff but lacking in quality. Vast majority of items are poor, common games that have a hard time selling. EVERYTHING is grossly overpriced. Expect to spend at least 3x fair market value on any game. Anything worthwhile that they get in seems to be purchased immediately by one of their odd employees/groupies (not sure which category they fall into), who are quick to rub it in your face that they purchased it and not you. The actual employees are hit and miss. The owner is a little off-putting, but the guy who always wears a toque is legitimately a nice guy who tries to hard to be helpful. In summary, this place is not worth the trip to Milton. Check it out if you're in the area but stick to the many superior shops and flea markets in Toronto. read more

Just got back from my 2nd visit to Toyratt. Incredible store. The best selection you will find in any retro store within the GTA. The owner is very cool as well. I wish I knew about this gem earlier. I will be visiting many more times to come. read more

I read other reviews and had heard great things about this store, but was greatly disappointed when I arrived. When I first walked in it looked very impressive! However, the store lacks a lot of "must have" have games, and the games they do have in stock are overpriced (even for vintage games). The worst part was I could hear the owner in his office (with the door open) yelling and arguing with a customer. It was extremely unprofessional, rude, and left me not wanting to even approach anyone who worked in that store. The best part is I heard the owner ask, at the end of his hissy fit, if the customer still wanted to buy the overpriced game!! (Obviously the answer was no.) Needless to say, one would have much better luck taking the drive to Toronto and checking out the multiple game shops there, or even looking online for the games they want. read more

I always have such a good time visiting this store. They have a huge selection of games and controllers. Not to mention consoles from Nintendo 64, sega, Atari, game cube, PlayStation one and a whole lot more even new generation consoles like Xbox one and PlayStation 4. They even have records and comics. The owner is amazing and remembers his customers and is hilarious and fair with his prices. I absolutely love going there and highly recommend it. I was on the hunt for ace wright attorney games for the ds, which if anyone knows you can't find any in stores only on amazon for a ridiculous price. But I went to toyratt and they had 3 sealed games !!!! I recommend giving this place a shot. It's a gold mine for gamers! read more

This store is hit or miss. If the owner is in, you'll get poor customer service. He just talks with his foul mouth in his office with his friends. There's his partner that works on weekends who is much better to work with. I've received some pooched equipment from this store, so I stopped shopping. I'm tempted to go back though, because they do every now and then get something in. They don't clean the carts, and they stack heavy boxes on their comics constantly. Parking is extremely limited, store in in a corridor styled commercial strip. My tips to the owner: Paint the inside of your store to something a bit brighter, and be a little more aware of new customers. read more
