But, and this "but" is serious. While we were there a woman entered not wearing a mask. No staff member asked this woman to wear a mask or why she was not. She proceeded to walk through the store again maskless;. At the cash area, she was behind me and I asked her "where is your mask" Her reply was "if you did any research you would know I do not have to wear a mask and neither should anyone else" I thought oh great a conspiracy follower and did not respond. But what bothered me was as I was leaving the store the cashier said to thid lady in my hearing "that was a good answer you gave to her". I have no problem with personal beliefs, having said that I am extremely high high risk. What bothered me most was this employee is purposely not maintaining the Health department and Ministry of health regulations to help stop the spread of this deadly virus therefore putting others at risk. I feel she should have approached this customer and at least asked where her mask was and with a nonmedical exemption answer reminded this customer of the rules every business is supposed to follow. I have been in medicine for over 40 years, have seen lots of noncompliant humans. I don't have time to change minds if they are ignorant to this pandemic. But I do not wish to frequent an establishment that does not comply to recommended health department advice that we are all supposed to follow. I think this establishment needs to instruct their staff to keep their opinions to themselves and help us as a community ensure the safety of their clients. I will not be shopping in this establishment again. Too risky at this time. I did report to the Health department so I am hoping they will be reminded of their obligation to our community .

What a gift this highly creative, energetic visionary is! Carey came for a site visit, assessed the space I had to work with and asked what I wanted to do with my business moving forward. Before she gave any recommendations she wanted to understand my vision first and what I needed this 1000 square feet to do for my business and my customers. Carey thought that she could help me and I was especially relieved to hear that she could use what I already had at hand, repurpose it to be more functional AND make it look great too. Within a week, she returned with an assistant. The results were far beyond what I ever could have imagined! Only two and a half hours and the room had been totally transformed. Piles of stock and furniture was cleared out, reorganized and set up beautifully so that I can now welcome customers back in to shop this weekend. Carey worked collaboratively with my staff to get the job done quickly and ensured that they also felt a part of the process. Most importantly, Carey did far more than just reorganize my space. She gave me hope during a pandemic. She showed me that my business can indeed be reinvented with ease and inexpensively. All six bags were under $16. The store also sells Kawartha ice cream, salt water taffy, sponge toffee, fudge, chocolates, and more. I would come back to visit these two stores. Their cup supplies were not very well organized and it took some time to find it. We went through the grocery section and noticed that the prices are basically grocery store prices. There is no wholesale. If someone was looking for much larger sizes of things for a restaurant, they could certainly find it there. However, I found it expensive they have fresh produce which could be purchased more cheaply at Costco at the cash register. We were asked if we would use our PC optimum card and that's when we realized this is a grocery store with some restaurant supplies, one of the big things that should have triggered that thought was that there's no membership required. In terms of the staff, I found people very friendly, and the location is quite good. If I were just reading the staff, they would get a five star.

BEWARE - Poor customer service and dishonesty…read more We bought an LG refrigerator from Canadian Discount Appliances, 808 Courtland Ave E, Kitchener, on January 26. About an hour later, we called to request a refund after finding a better option at Costco with free delivery. The store said a full refund was not possible because delivery was already scheduled, but they agreed to refund $50 back to my Mastercard to match Costco's free delivery. Delivery was scheduled for the next day between 8-11am, and we specifically requested a 15-minute call before arrival, which was agreed to. No one called. At 2pm, we were told deliveries were delayed. Around 4:30pm, the delivery driver called yelling, screaming, claiming we didn't open the door--despite never calling ahead. His behavior toward my husband was rude and unprofessional. As of February 6, the promised $50 refund back to my Mastercard was still not issued. When we called the store, the manager was hostile, made false accusations, refused to listen, and hung up. The store manager made statements that were untrue to justify refusing the $50 refund. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and unresolved refund. Save yourself the headache and shop at a reputable big-box store instead.
