I had no problem finding a spot. As with many Winners stores, there are displays when you first walk into them. I was pleased to enter this one, as it was -30°C outside with the windchill. I found a number of decent items. I got a bottle of OPI base coat and a pair of cozy pajama bottoms. The best part about shopping at Winners is that it has large shoe sizes for folks like me. I found a pair of Vans moccasin hi-top suede sneakers for $18. It originally was going for $50 and got reduced three times before I found them, tried them on, and said that they were meant to be. The store wasn't busy. There was one customer at the checkout before I went up there. The woman was friendly and cheerful. I love this Winners. I'm glad I finally visited it! (15)

What used to be a Zellers is now a Walmart Supercentre, close to Uptown Waterloo and a short trip…read moreby bus or car to the University area. It is located in the plaza at Bridgeport and Weber, where the Sobeys is also located. This Walmart has a complete pharmacy, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and always take time time to answer my questions. Every day low prices on items my family uses means I don't have to spend a lot of time looking anywhere else. There is also a grocery and produce department inside the store, and I have never been disappointed with quality of the product or the prices here. They do price match as well, if you bring the competitor's flyer. I wish we had a Walmart in town when I was going to University here in Waterloo (we had to take a long trip down to Fairview Park Mall back in the day... Now students and local residents alike can take advantage of a local Walmart!

The manager has been there for years and sure has showed his decent attitude over the years. I was been discreetly helped when I was ashamed that my 2 year old son pooped behind a rack there. Now he is going to college and that store is like home. We hope the Gentrification of Downtown Kitchener doesn't change this gem.

We visited the women's shoe section. I normally expect my friend to find plenty of shoe selections, as she wears a size 8. As for me, I automatically go with the thought that the selection of size 11 shoes will be flat out ugly and slim pickings for me. As fate would happen, I found a cool pair of purple Converse shoes. OMG! My friend was ecstatic for me! I love purple. I love Converse. I love size 11 shoes. I got all three in one lovely pair of shoes. Yay!
