I've been coming to this place to get a haircut for the past years, they've always done a good job and the price has been good in comparison to other salons. My most recent haircut, the cut itself was fine, it was what occurred in the background the reason for my 3 stars. I understand that this business might be family owned and such, so It never bothered me seeing the employees kids in the space. However during my recent haircut, there was an employees kid running around while the stylist was blow drying my hair. The stylist then started cooing and making remarks to the child whilst holding the blow dryer really close to my scalp without moving. I felt my scalp starting to burn since she stopped moving the blow dryer. And this happened twice. I pulled my head away once the heat became unbearable since I'm shy to lash out. Then the rest continued as normal. This was very unprofessional. I'm not saying to not bring your kids to your place at work, all I'm asking is that if you do, watch them. And if you're working on somebody, be mindful of what tools you have near their head when there's distractions. I don't mind when the workers are chatting amongst themselves while working on my hair or nails or whatever, but when you have to literally stop what you're working on to coo at someone else's kid, then that just sours the experience. read more

Talk about royal treatment! I brought my daughter in for a little mommy-daughter date and the nail techs treated her like an absolute princess! Our appointment was originally just for manicures because it was at the end of the day. They over heard my daughter say she wanted to do her toes but since it was almost closing time, I told her we had to come back another day. Ann said they could totally do pedicures for us, even if it ran late. The girls quickly rallied together to give us pedicures and even decorated my daughter's nails with sparkly jewels and flower stickers. She was in heaven and it was such a special evening for us. That kind of customer service really makes all the difference. We love this nail salon and would highly recommend it! read more

I called for a same-day hair cut appointment. Came in and had to wait for about 30 minutes which was fine. I asked for shoulder length cut and long layers. The length was perfect but I found the layering to be really uneven and choppy which is really evident specially with my highlights. The stylist who cut my hair also didn't blow dry my hair fully before using a hair straightener which made my hair more frizzy and dry. As for the vibe of the salon, it looked clean and fairly organized. It wasn't too busy for a Monday afternoon. read more

AVOID this place. Owner is rude. Came here to get my hair colored for a wedding I was attending . Before she started, I asked her how she keeps it he dye from staining. She said it can done, no problem. After she dyed my hair, sure enough stains around crown of my head and her way of removing it is to scrub my skin really hard. After a while, I told her it hurts. So stopped rubbing but stain is still there. So I asked her"what about the stain?' She said "well, if you'd STOP screaming, I can get it off but you complain it hurts".... WHAT? so the only way to remove is to rub my skin off? Save yourself and DO NOT come here. read more

Went in to get a haircut. My usual was out of the country and I really felt like I needed my hair done. I was doing errands in the area and I figured no one would really mess up a long haircut that most women get. I have really long hair past my waist I've been growing out and wanted long layers with face framing. I brought photos to show what I wanted. The lady who came out was really nice and sweet. That was about the only good thing. She sprayed my hair with water and started cutting. I've been getting layered haircuts for a long time and I noticed she wasn't doing the usual techniques I see most people who worked with my hair did. But i figured she knows what she's doing. After the haircut she just blasted my hair with some air (no styling whatsoever) and showed it to me. I was so disappointed, but she was so nice so I just said thank you and even gave a tip. But I feel like my hair got worse and worse everytime I looked at it. It's like a short thick hair just plopped on top of a long thin haircut, like a long grown out mullet. I even tried blowdrying at home thinking maybe it just needed styling. I tried straightening and then even curling it too. My hair just looks dated and uneven and uncontrollable and I don't know how or why. I wasn't going to say anything because she was so nice but everytime I see my hair I get so upset. I don't know if she was really the one who does haircuts or they just didnt have anyone and they couldn't say no, but I wish they just told me they couldn't do it. Now I have to spend a long time growing out my hair again and I'm just sad. read more

My niece called ahead to see if they could take us for a mani/pedi. They said come and walk in. I talked to the guy and I told him we called in and didn't have an appointment. I mentioned that we wanted to get a mani/pedi. He asked us to take a seat so we did. He called my niece and asked her what she wanted and they proceeded to start w/ her. I patiently just sat and waited to for someone to come since I didn't know if they had other technicians available. I sat for close to an hour and just waited patiently. When my niece was finished w/ her pedi they went to a table to work on her nails. When it looked like they were finished w/ half on her mani I asked if they forgot about me and he acknowledged that they did. This review was way to long over due. I can't just not post about it. I wanted to spoil my mother for a manicure and wax lip area. #1 manicure didn't last but a day. I didn't like how the nail polish they had look old and water down with alcohol. # 2 The lady wax the lip area then used the same stick and dip it back in the wax pot!! Note she was the same lady that did my mother's nails. Hopefully health department checks on this place. I really doubt that lady had a license to do that service. I never came back. read more

Be aware of these con artist before you go. My daughter has been going with my wife for a long time and has never been charged more than $50 to get her nails done. Today she goes by herself and these con artists charge her $70 to get her nails done. My daughter tells them she got the same thing done she's always gotten and how much they always charge. Three of them hold a conversation in their native language which my daughter does not understand and they hold to the inflated price. Find a place you can trust who is worthy of the business as this is not the place. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. The whole staff is super friendly, and after their new remodel, the place looks super sleek. Leon is such an amazing tech. I love that he is super attentive to detail. I am used to short nails, so I tend to be very rough with them. He applied a little bit more acrylic to make it thicker. I saw a Yelp comment and I had to address it as well because I was there and witnessed the whole situation I was a client while Justine and her group was there and I felt bad for the employees because they were trying to apologize for the wait, but her mother was cutting them off and the whole salon could hear her speaking. Maybe her mother was having a rough day, but I think it was a little unnecessary to cause a scene, since they were threatening the nail tech even after they apologized. First time there, went to get my hair curled, which was satisfactory. The chair offered to me was not clean as it had just been used for a haircut and it had hair all over on the floor, counter and chair. She then started to clean it with some hair falling on me before I said stop. This place was so busy and messy that they kept moving clients that were there for hot coloring from one chair to another. Recently started going here a few months ago. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with very friendly staff. Salon is very nice and extremely clean. I initially went here to have them fix something that another Salon screwed up and I was extremely pleased! I have very long nails and I am extremely picky and I was hooked up with Leon who is an amazing Nail Tech. He is super chill and eager to please. He listen to everything that I wanted and executed my nails flawlessly. He is not just a Nail Tech he is a true artist. He made me feel extremely comfortable and didn't make me feel like I was bothering him with my request. I can confidently say he is the best Nail Tech I have ever worked with thus far. One thing I really like about Salon is that I don't feel like all of the employees are talking smack while I'm getting my service done. It seems like a lot of salons do that kind of stuff but all the employees here are extremely friendly and welcoming. After my parents retired and moved out of state, my mom would regularly come back every 6 weeks and her first stop would be Kim's for hair and nails. I'm giving a couple of stars for the nice and modern furnishings, okay more like 1.5. Called a few days before and asked how much a mani/spa pedi costs and the person who picked up the phone told me 50$. I come in and the young lady in front says 60$ for a french manicure. They seat me and a guy was working on my pedi and another lady comes over to do my mani. Everything seemed okay until the end, the guy finishes and asks if I like my pedicure. I say its good, but the girl working on my manicure seemed like she was rushed and did a sloppy job. The guy leaves, and the girl rushes thru my mani and asks if everything is okay, and next thing you know she is rushing towards a new customer who she says hi to by name. I didn't even notice but the last two fingers on my left hand was left a mess. The two workers who were working on me left and the man said to wait 10 minutes for the nail polish to dry. I see the lady sitting to my left getting better treatment, as the lady working on her toes bring her slippers to her feet and actually waits for her to get out from her chair. I'm sitting there waiting and had to ask someone if I'm ready to go. From my experience at this salon, $60 is way overpriced for the crappy customer service and sloppy manicure. read more

Made an appointment, in person, with Nancy for a color and cut for my daughter, who lives out of town because I had heard positives reviews on Nancy. We got there and Nancy is working on someone else. It is about 2:10 pm, the appointment was at 2:15 pm. The owner/Nancy's Mom puts hair dye all over my daughters head and about an inch into her skin and leaves her for almost 1 1/2 hours. Yep that is 90 Minutes!! My daughter asks what is going on and they just say they are busy. When they FINALLY rinse the dye out, the gray hair is still gray. WTH -Then they blame my daughters hair. She has never had issues before with getting her hair dyed and they have never left it on for so long. Either it's cheap, cheap products or they don't know what they're doing but we will never go back! We have been frequenting Kim's since they opened their business, not anymore. read more
