The room was lovely. 90% off the care team was excellent. One nurse however does not belong here. Unfortunately this nurse delivered the news of my sisters passing-she was on duty for her final days. The support staff tries to make up for the lack of care and empathy for this one person. They have a little memorial service when your loved one leaves with the undertaker. The entire staff for the day is here. This nurse stated in the office. We received a card as well, signed by all, except this nurse. Believe me, I wish I could say one person didn't impact the rest of the wonderful care my sister received, but it did. I wish we had arranged care at home. We did need to stay on top of the medication administration. My sister's illness caused horrible terrors and startles. They were often a bit late to deliver meds meant to keep her comfortable. The chef, amazing, kind and caring. The aides, all wonderful and checked in with empathy often. We did share our concerns and expected a follow up call that never came. If you can't be here around the clock with your loved one, I do not recommend.

CNA's seem like they do try they're hardest, some of them don't have too great of an attitude from what I've witness, but I've heard that's because they work short a lot. All in all, this is one of the better nursing homes in Worcester.

Patient was referred for rehabilitative care. Patient arrived by ambulance and waited 90 minutes…read morebefore being greeted/acknowledged by staff. Dinner tray was placed out of reach of patient. Patient called for assistance. After an hour, CNA came into room and kicked the tray closer to patient and left. Patient was unable to lift the lid off of the tray or open ensure bottle. Patient food not minced/puréed as per dysphasia diet although being labeled as minced and moist/pureed. Patient was stripped and sponge bathed with door open and in view of others passing by in hallway. In general, it seemed understaffed. PT/OT services were good and specialists respected patient's dignity. CNAs overall lack training, empathy, and common sense.

Everything they teach is designed to get you back to your life as soon as possible: they even have a fake car to practice getting in and out of! Several people stand out: nurses Lydia, Vivian and Abu, each of whom made me feel my health was important to them; OT Rachel B, who is an amazing person with all sorts of tricks to make living independently with a broken hip possible;; Mary C, PT, who was contstantly enthusiastic and supportive; Dr. Dain and Dr. Brown, who visited daily to check vital signs and ask how I was doing. The food was not exciting, but it was well-prepared and you could chose your own meals. Quite frankly, I was surprised by what a positive experience it was to be at Fairlawn. I was there 11 days. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure if that person is male or female....not making this up!!! In the week I have neen here, i've had one shower, climbed one flight of stairs, and had a walker provided. Other than that, there has been no rehabilitation, only sitting or lying around in my shared room with the shower curtain separating us. I am in my 80's and not making this up.

My wife was in Care one at Concord for a back issue and some rehab. They almost killed her. I…read moreremoved her by ambulance to NWH which I am positive saved her life. Same issues as this place. No reponse when ringing for the aides. leaving patients insoiled clothing longer than 24 hours. She was there for rehab I had to pay for 14 days up front and she was there for 7 days and they did ONE day of rehab and then chanrged medicare for 6. If anyone recommends any local Care One Facility RUN! I then had to chase them for three months for my refund of 6 days
