We discovered Wright's Farm by accident, our hotel concierge recommended we stop by the local farm…read morestand. Once we pull in, from the outside it seems like a typical farm stand. Walking inside, it's a different experience at Wright's Farm. This visit, I want to buy a bottle of local wine and some local cheese then go back to the hotel. I see there is a very nice selection of Hudson Valley and regional wines. I also buy a nice local, spreadable cheese along with some crackers. I noticed towards the back, I see a wall of homemade jams. And they're all packaged in these cute mason jars! Strawberry Jelly is a must but then we went a little nutzo with a few more jam flavors as well as homemade apple sauces, fresh cheeses and pickles! Sunday, its check out time and we're heading back to Long Island after breakfast. My wife said we need to go shopping for dinner today. I said, Let's go back to Wright's Farm and pick up dinner? And this was the highlight of our trip. In the cold cases, I see homemade ravioli, one of the stuffings was corn? I had plans to stop in The Bronx and get a few boxes of Raviolis. I gambled and said lets try their corn ravioli. O.M.G. This ravioli was fantastic! My wife made it with fresh sage from our herb garden. It was a little pricey but it was better than anything I had this year. For the week, we bought a large ham steak and a ham hock for pea soup. I saw something interesting, a black futsu squash? I told my wife, lets buy one and take a chance. Amazing! My wife cooked this squash and it came out deelish. Dessert? My sons inhaled the apple cider doughnuts we bought home for them. Wright's Farm, it was a pleasant surprise to discover your local farmstand.

Add on the fact they have several Hip-Camp spots for camping overnight, and a very large field for Harvest Host members to park overnight makes this one of our top destinations this time of year. Being only about 2 1/2 hours drive from Long Island it is well worth the pilgrimage to this incredible family run farm!

I was on the quest of raw milk, and found this amazing farm. It's located at the end of a long…read moreroad, with plenty of parking space. There are two stores, one that keeps the dairy products in fridges, and the other one is smaller, cuter and sells more non-perishable products like soaps, lotions, candles, etc. This store also sells fresh frozen grass-fed meats. Do not expect a big selection, but good enough to pick up some turkey, chicken or Italian sausages. The lady/receptionist was so friendly and helpful. She asked if I needed any help, and I told her I had never tried raw milk but wanted to purchase some. This is when she guided us to the original store, and showed us around. Mainly, the fridges are full of pre-ordered raw milk. All labeled and not to taken! She showed me the different sizes and gave us a small sample. I loved it and it didn't make me sick like regular pasteurized milk. I asked her if she can just sell me a small half liter bottle. She found a lovely glass container and she poured some in. You will find fresh eggs(from other farms not theirs) butter, kefir and yogurt. After we paid, we found ourselves entertained by the calves and goats outside the farm. There's a section where children can play with hay and these animals. The calves were inside crates. If you find yourself driving up north, do yourself a favor and stop here and pick up some goodies. Excellent!!

Presently, while hubs and I have been spending more time in Woodstock on the weekends since the late part of June, we see the need to support the local bounty that surrounds us and the best way to eat from farm to fork. If this isn't enough, these folks also carry a small collection of home products made by independent makers. Migliorelli is all about veggies and fruits- so the cheeses, milk, yogurt and pastries you see when you come here, are sourced from partnering dairy farms. In spite of that, I still picked up Gruyère, Parmesan, other cheeses and milk. Fish and other seafood are sold on weekends. I've heard and read two different stories about how they source their seafood. Is it locally caught? Not sure. Actually, don't think so. I'm not completely bothered by it. The young ladies here are helpful and if you have any questions about something, speak up. Prices reflect the Catskills- but you won't break your wallet. When I come here, I know I can stock up my pantry and fridge with ease and freshness.

From the moment we arrived, it was obvious the staff couldn't care less about safety or customer service -- the employees spent more time talking to each other than supervising any attractions, the cashier lady was rude and hostile, and there was zero guidance or oversight at any of the stations. The property itself is disgusting: trash everywhere, bathrooms that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, animal areas that were dirty and poorly maintained, and the lake water was murky, green, and full of debris -- not remotely safe for children. Speaking of safety, my child was put into an adult go-kart, set on the fastest speed, and crashed into a wall because there was no supervision at all. The machines are old, broken down, and clearly neglected, making every ride a potential hazard. Almost all advertised activities were either closed, broken, or required extra fees, making the experience outrageously expensive for what amounts to chaos and neglect. Other reviews online confirm the same problems -- rude staff, dirty facilities, unsafe rides -- so this isn't an isolated incident. It's honestly one of the worst places I've ever been to, and unless they fire their staff, clean up their property, fix their unsafe rides, and learn what customer service means, they don't deserve anyone's business. Family Fun Farm is a disaster: unsafe, overpriced, and completely unprofessional. If you care about your family's safety, cleanliness, or sanity, stay as far away as possible -- this place is a ticking time bomb disguised as a "family-friendly farm."
