Dryer Repair: Extremely poor customer service and zero…read morefollow-through. This company came out and charged me for a diagnostic service on my dryer, but after taking payment they essentially disappeared. It has now been 22 days with no repair and no communication. I have called multiple times and they never answer the phone or return calls. To make matters worse, they texted me confirming an appointment on 3/16 between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM to come fix the dryer. I stayed home during that entire window and no technician ever showed up and no one contacted me to explain why. So far my experience has been: * Charged for diagnosis * No repair completed * No returned calls * Missed appointment with no explanation * 22 days waiting with no resolution If you are thinking about using this company, be prepared to pay up front and then struggle to get any response afterward. Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Don't work with this company. They started work on my hvac unit in July. It's December and the work…read morestill isn't done. I was assigned them through my home warranty company. This is the worst interaction I've ever had with any business. They don't answer phone and won't return voice mails. I went to the address only to find out it's a house. Knocked on the door, no answer, only loud music. Don't do business with this company, very unprofessional. The only reason there's a star is because I have to give one to post my review.

I can't say enough good things about Mike, the owner of Above All Plumbing…read more I've worked with Mike for over five years across a wide range of projects--from simple repairs like fixing a leaky sink all the way up to full-scale replumbing of a 48-unit apartment building. In between, he's handled just about everything you can imagine, and he's even done work at my personal residence. That alone should tell you the level of trust I have in him. What truly sets Mike apart is his reliability and professionalism. He shows up when he says he will. He starts jobs on time and, just as importantly, he finishes them. In an industry where it's common for contractors to bounce between projects, leaving jobs half-done while they chase the next one, Mike is the exact opposite. When he commits to a project, he sees it through. He doesn't disappear for weeks while juggling other work. He stays focused and gets it done. He also consistently finishes within the scheduled timeframe. And in the rare instance where something needs to shift, his communication is excellent. He doesn't leave you guessing. He's proactive, transparent, and respectful of your time and schedule. Beyond that, Mike is dependable, hardworking, and honest. With the volume of units and projects I manage, I've worked with a lot of trades over the years. It's not easy to find someone who combines skill, integrity, consistency, and strong communication--but Mike does. Whether it's a small residential repair or a large multifamily project, he treats the work seriously and stands behind it. That kind of consistency over five-plus years is rare. If you're looking for a plumber you can truly rely on--someone who shows up, communicates clearly, finishes what he starts, and does quality work--Above All Plumbing should absolutely be your first call.

Mike was referred to us through the electricians we hired to do the plumbing work on our home…read moreaddition on a small south city home that included a powder room (5x8) and small master about 6x8. As the project progressed he made decisions about toilet/shower/sink placement that we said we didn't want, but his response was always "no, that can't be done" or "that's not how it works". He would come in, act as if we were burdening him and he was doing us a favor. He misplaced the toilet and sink despite many requests and then charged us to make those fixes despite them being his mistakes. He started to become quite indignant. This is our first home addition but have done large home renovations in the past. We naively trusted him, but as the process went on our other contractors would find errors. He didn't do basic things (for a home addition) like adding water spickets outside, or make sure the current plumbing was functioning correctly. I grew too scared to ask him anything and he continued to force us to pay more and more for things that would have been considered standard for this scope of work. He recommended (and we purchased) a shower pan, then he got angry and told us it wasn't acceptable. We had to hire another contractor to come in and fix this because he said it wasn't in his scope, then because we had to hire someone else because he said it wasn't in his scope that he was going to pull the permits off of our house because someone else worked on the shower base. We felt stuck and scared. He had sent several threatening texts. We asked if he could just finish what he was willing to. In total we paid him $16,550 which was over the bid. And we still don't have a shower or working sinks in either bathroom (he said he didn't know we were doing a wall mounted sink/faucet, he never asked and we aren't plumbers and didn't know we had to tell him). He also stole a brass drain fixture because it apparently wasn't the correct one so he took it. When we asked about it, he admitted it and returned it and said he assumed it was trash (although he had confirmed during the walk through that it would work and it was special ordered and he returned it without the box making it not returnable). He took that but never cleaned up or took his trash and pvc discards and left a mess the 3x he worked on our home. The hours he worked were less than 24, he was paid more than 16k, the job never finished, he never did basic due diligence on anything and we asked him to make sure the new and old were working and the next day had a sewage back up/flooded basement (that we didn't bother even calling him or addressing it with him because we knew he would try to charge us an outrageous amount, also when we hired someone else we were scared because he said no one else could work on the plumbing in the home because he had pulled the permit). Job is still not complete and he is threatening to put a lien on the home. I feel out of options, scared of him, don feel safe that he knows where I live and that he has us over a barrel. He continues to threaten us and demand more money when we've continually had to hire other people to fix his work. Maybe this wouldn't happen to others, but I feel taken advantage of. I feel he's holding us hostage and don't know what do to. We have spent a lot of money and have no working plumbing by him and I think people need to be aware of what he is capable of. He did physically steal something and then got angry that we questioned it and that he threw it away. I have cried many years because of him and if you are a woman... I will bluntly and confidently say, do not hire this man.
