Quick, turned around a shirt in 2 days which other cleaners couldn't which is good but originally $2.50 for a shirt, no signs for cash only, got upset when didn't have cash. Offered to run home but made a huge stink and said fine $2.75 for card. Clearly can take cards but if you are cash only just put up a sign. Only came here because the other higher rated cleaners in the area couldn't turn around a shirt quick enough. Or have a sign saying 5% surcharge for credit cards like most places. Won't be back unless I'm in dire need again. read more

First experience was decent. Today I brought my daughter to have her vest altered. This lady was too busy on the phone that she wouldn't listen to my request. All she did was shake her head. Rude! Updating my previous review. She charged me $80 to wash 2 comforters. I was truly floored with the price and was not expecting this. I have had comforters washed as a wash and fold service for much cheaper. I have no idea if maybe the request was not understood etc. I paid but I was very clear that in this time of this is what you charge to communicate it at drop off. There is NO WAY I would've left comforters there and paid 80 for a wash and fold job. Truly ridiculous. She is great for alterations but unless you are made of money or get a firm price estimate to save yourself the pick up shock I just experienced...dry cleaning here is not a good idea. read more

I'm not one to take to Yelp but I'm very disappointed with Kim's Cleaners. I dropped off a nice button down to be dry cleaned. The woman behind the counter was fairly rude and unhelpful when I asked questions. More importantly, however, she immediately proceeds to stick a safety pin in the shirt in a haphazard and careless manner. The two holes the safety pin created are in an extremely obvious place on the shirt, effectively marring the shirt. I understand these business use safety pin, but in my experience it is universally more discrete so that your shirt doesn't get ruined. I want to reiterate that this was a nice shirt and the employee treated my clothing with hardly any care. If you care about your clothing and want welcoming customer service I certainly would not recommend Kim's cleaners. read more

I went to Kim's cleaners recently for an alteration. The lady was nice and took the time to have me try on the garment and walked me through how it would look with various amounts of alteration. The price was also not expensive. Getting a dress taken in from both sides was about $22. I was planning on checking out a few places and shopping around because I was worried the alteration would be close to $40, but when she quoted me a reasonable amount, I just went ahead and gave the dress. Such a nice little lady Mrs.Kim is. My pants were altered for 8 bucks each, I didn't keep the hem, if you do it's 12. Alterations for Pants and Jeans without keeping the hem are both 8 bucks which is great because some places charge more for Jeans, and Less for Pants, but at 8 bucks for both, it's a steal. Dropped it off Tuesday and was told it would be ready Friday by 4pm. Called Friday at 1050am and asked if it was ready earlier and yes it was! Perfect job for a great price in ATL area. They look busy with dry cleaning and people who pick up their stuff all look happy and friendly, so the Kim's must be doing something right! read more

I love this drycleaners. It is a small family owned place and if you drop off your stuff before 3 PM, they willhave it ready after 4 PM the next day. They are open everyday but Sunday, and I think from 7AM-7PM, which ROCKS! They also give student discounts (if you are a student or say you are!). Oh, and theyhave a DRIVE THRU Window! I recently went to Kim's to have two pairs of newly purchased dress pants hemmed. On my initial visit, I brought in the pants. There is a small room about the size of a closet where you can try on your clothes. For those of you who have been to dry cleaners where there is nothing but a curtain or sheet giving you privacy from the other customers, this is much better. There is an actual door. Ms. Kim, presumably, measured my pants. I changed back into regular clothes and was told to return in about 5 days. I would recommend bringing dress shoes since I am not sure how accurate the measurements would have been with sneakers and I didn't see any demo shoes for you to try on. When I went back, I retried on the pants to make sure the fit was right. I thought it was great. Initially, I wondered if the pants were still too long, but Ms. Kim reassured me they were not. The language barrier prevents you from asking too many questions and I will admit I was a little nervous about what my pants would look like considering my previous alterations were done at Macy's where it was clear what I would be getting, but the end product was great. I think my bill was around $15 for the 2 pairs of pants which she discounted a dollar or two (10% maybe?) since I was a student. I would probably go back to try out the dry cleaning here. read more

I've taken several garments here to be cleaned, and I've never had a problem! The turnaround is very fast and the prices are definitely fair. The only reason why I haven't given 5 stars is because the location is a little difficult to park at. There's tons of potholes, and the lot is small. This isn't really the businesses fault at all, but just something to keep in mind. read more

Be careful taking your clothes here. They gave me someone else's sweater and claims they don't make mistakes. My ticket says no creases in pants and 4 pair came back with creases. But they don't make mistakes?! He said that mistake was made in the factory. It's still your mistake because it's your business. I have a unknown sweater in place of my Banana Republic sweater that I dropped off there. The owner can't talk because she's in Korea. Poor customer service. Used to be my favorite in town even with the poor customer service. I have always picked up on time and today a lady I have not seen in a while told me I will need to put a $20 deposit on my items--because I may not pick them up. I understand that some people may not pick up their items but I always do and what upset me even more is that she didn't ask the white lady (with her Mercedes) behind me to put a deposit on her items. Do NOT take your clothes to this cleaners! On two occasions I received two separate blouses back and they had bleach stains on them. (They were colored blouses....could not wear them again). Proprietor claimed they do not use bleach. If you value your clothes, do not choose this Cleaners. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED TO GET ANYTHING EXPENSIVE OR SILK DRYCLEANED!!! I have given this place three chances as its right across the road from me & I dont have a car but once they ruined my white silk shirt and on top of that neither of the other clothes I gave came back clean. The owner called me and apologized which was really sweet and promised free drycleaning from time to time to help the situation. But the other times I went there he was never there so never got the free drycleaning. I went today to pick up two of my Alexander Wang silk tanks and the stains were still there (They were water stains!!!) The lady kept forcing me to pay as I told her I was taking it back. And When I refused to pay she said, " If you're taking them, then you better pay, because that means youre wearing them!" She was really really rude and then on top of that went on to say since I'm taking them back, I'm only complaining because I dont want to pay !! And she said not to come back again! I have never received such bad customer service, needless to say IM NEVER GOING BACK TO THE PLACE! The only thing decent at this place are the alterations. read more

Avoid at all costs. Brought 10 men's shirts here because of their convenient location close to work. At pick up, 2 of the shorts were stained - these are new stains, not stains they came in with. The young man apologized and said they will clean them again at no cost. Came back a week later, and the stains are bigger! The woman (Mrs. Kim?) was very rude but reluctantly agreed to try to remove the stains. Came back a third time to pick up the shirts. Stain still there. She refuses to acknowledge that stain was made/made bigger while the garment was in their facility. Refuses to pay for the shirts and towards the end of the conversation, refuses to even see the stain. When I asked to speak to the son, she tells me he's in Korea. There are too many other dry cleaners around to deal with such unpleasantness and unprofessionalism. Take your business elsewhere! read more

Need alterations in the Decatur area? This is the place to go. I brought in a suit jacket and pants, both fully lined, for shortening. $25 and about a week later, I had my suit back, hemmed to the right length on both sleeves and legs. Easy, and much less than I expected to pay. The store was clean, and as a previous reviewer said, having the room with a door to try on the stuff rather than just a curtain is helpful - I didn't have to worry that I was accidentally going to flash someone around the curtain. I've not taken any dry cleaning there as yet, but this will be where I go with my cleaning. read more

I hate to right this review, but I have to. The work that I had done was poor in quality and I was promised that she is the best! Lol Don't go to Kim's at ALL! I was referred to go here by a Marine and boy were they wrong! Kim was supposed to alter two of my coats and did the wrong alteration on one of them and didn't even alter the other. Like others, I've had great experiences here with alterations. They have the best prices I've found in Atlanta and do a great job. $10 for regular hemming on jeans and $12 for original hemming. I also had the straps on a couple of dresses shortened for only $6 each (they were beaded straps too). I dropped off 5 items for alterations on Monday, and they were done by Friday.
