Daeji galbi und Carlsberg vom Fass.

I could not decide between Kimichi Princess and Angry Chicken, but I decided on Kimchi Princess because I did not feel like getting my hands dirty for dinner. I went on a Saturday at about 6:30pm, so it was not packed yet, and I also got outdoor seating without a problem. The staff are really nice and the service was wonderful throughout dinner. + Food: I ordered the daeji galbi (13,50 Euros) because I was craving lots of meat. At first, it did not look appetizing because of the way it was marinated, but it was actually quite good and spicy -- I like spicy. The side dishes were in threes and comes with rice, but I wish I could have selected/gotten the glass noodles because I really prefer that over kimchi or zucchini (wish they had pickled cucumbers instead). Also, the grill would have been so amazing if I had not eaten by myself. ): + Drink: Ordered Carlsberg vom Fass. I am not much of a beer drinker so much as I am a Schnapps kind of person, but it was actually quite tasty and, unlike other beers, it did not make me want to gag, good sign! It is also 4,50 Euros for 0,5L. + Social vibe: This place gives off a hipster feel. It is very lively and full of different kinds of people: whether that be from Berlin or other countries. People just seem to be very social here! - Turn-off: I was kind of skeptical of the meal I would be getting at such a steep price, but I will say that this meal was probably worth the 21,- Euros I spent (w/ tip), but if I had been eating with someone else and ordered the grill, I am sure I would have been more satisfied. + Overall: After my meal, I seriously felt really stuffed. I would definitely come here again.

Let's start right of the bat! Kimchi Princess is a korean restaurant located in Kreuzberg. I went there to celebrate the korean teachers day with the "Koreanisches Kulturzentrum". And at the first glance I was suprised by its dim red light. It gave off a different vibe, really special. So, to continue, the staff was really nice, just how you would expect to be treated, nothing extraordinary. But now, let's get to the food. To be honest, it was a pain to wait so long for the food. But it's understandable by the huge amount of guests they have. The portion size was like in any other korean restaurant I visited, pretty large, but worth it's price. The food was really tasty, of course I chose the (korean pork). We ordered a whole menu, so there was really much food. So, you also have to know that there are 2 etages, Unfortunately I sat in the first floor, but it wasn't all that bad. The table ,I sat at ,was really long! So all in all, I would give it 4 stars, cause it's a solid restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food served for an understandable price. It just didn't have that certain indefinable something. But even so, it's recommendable Enjoy your stay! I hope I could help you out

I came here with a group of people for dinner, the restaurant was much bigger than I expected. there were seats for people prefer lower table, really nice idea. Soon we sat down, the service came along and gave as the menu. We already did decided waht to order before we got to this place, but I still had a quick look. it seems like there are many options amd the price is also a bit higher, but still acceptable. I saw there also have special lunch offer. probably will try some of them next time. This time we just stay with the BBQ meal. We ordered the bbq beef which not spicy. the staff got everything ready and then just cooked it for us on our table, at the same time he explained how we should eat it, in order to tasted it right way. Basically, we shouldn't mix the food. meats first and rice later or the other way around. personaly, I prefer the taste when it mix together. I did treid the way he told as first. The meal was great, we all like it a lot. The staff were really nice, they gave us some more side dishes when we finished our first around. For extra rice they will charge it though. Overall, I think this is one of the cool Korean restaurants to have some nice food.

Trendy, chic, and puristic. I had an interesting experience at Kimchi Princess. I loved the chic decor and the community feel to the restaurant. The average patron is anywhere between people in their twenties to people in their forties. However, I had to wait about an hour to get my food. At first, I would sure I was going to give this restaurant one star. One hour wait, and no explanation from the server at first. However, as the night went on and my patience waited it out, it looked like I was in for a pleasant surprise. The restaurant more than compensated for their delay by giving us an extra portion of beef bugolgi and side dishes. We also ended up with a free shot of Soju and our angry neighbors left appetizer (they didn't touch it). Our server was lovely. The food tasted delicious and I loved my beef bugolgi. It tasted sweeter and better than the ones I've had in California. Their coconut water is also the best coconut water I've ever had. I would probably go back then do some bar hopping in the neighborhood. Fun!

Kimchi Princess is one of the first restaurants I tried in Berlin and will always be a favorite. I call it a 'modern take on Korean' as most of it's dishes are traditional, but with some modern twists. Favorites include the bul nak (spicy octopus and beef mixed on grill), bibimbap (most legit I've had vs. Core, Mercosy), and homemade iced tea (hibiscus I think). I don't think you can really go wrong here. The restaurant is large and spacious with outdoor seating, AND the staff is attentive! (rare in Berlin). When we ordered the Korean BBQ / bul nak, the waiter spent time to explain to us the process and came back several times to make sure the meat was cooked to the right level, and turned off the heat as to prevent overcooking. Highly recommend it! For their casual fast food joint, walk down the street to Angry Chicken at Heinrichplatz.

I've heard a lot now about Kimchi Princess - a lot of bad and good. That it's too expensive, that it's a modern take on korean cuisine.. Now I finally went there myself and my impression was that it's a very good restaurant with food that really does differ from other korean houses. First, the ambiente there is really nice. They have outdoor seating with a rustical brick wall and indoor seating with korean style low wooden benches amd tables. The whole thing has a very cozy and homely feel to it. I went there with a friend and we had Ojingeo Bokkeum (fried spicy squid) and Dweji Galbi (pork spare ribs). The food was quite nice, the marinade on the Galbi was reeeaally delicious! The price was okay - not very cheap, but also not too expensive. A big plus was that the waiters were very attentive and very friendly. The restaurant was packed, but we still didn't have to wait too long to order and we were served quite quickly. I'll definitely come back again here, if I want some fancy korean food.

We have absolutely no regrets. We kicked things off with Korean mandu (dumplings) -- absolutely fantastic! Then came the spicy BBQ chicken, which really took us by surprise with its bold, delicious flavor. The bulgogi beef and galbi gui (boneless ribs) were cooked right at the table, which added a fun and reassuring touch of freshness. The taste was excellent, and all the accompanying sauces complemented the dishes beautifully. We left full and happy with all our choices. The restaurant itself was cozy, nicely decorated, and the service met all expectations. A great first dive into Korean cuisine -- we're already looking forward to the next time!

Instead of grilled short ribs, I was served a saucy, spicy pan of meat and vegetables that felt more like a stir-fry than anything resembling the dish on the menu. If you are going to use the name of a classic Korean dish, at least serve something vaguely close to it. To make it worse, they told me KBBQ required ordering for 2 people minimum, so I was forced to buy two portions of this lie. That policy is already obnoxious, but it feels even worse when the food itself is misrepresented. And then the Korean pancakes came served with cream cheese. Very authentic. Nothing says traditional Korean food quite like random cream cheese slapped onto dishes that do not call for it. Overall, this place felt overpriced, misleading, and gimmicky. If you want actual Korean food, go somewhere that does not rewrite the menu and call it authentic
