We have absolutely no regrets. We kicked things off with Korean mandu (dumplings) -- absolutely fantastic! Then came the spicy BBQ chicken, which really took us by surprise with its bold, delicious flavor. The bulgogi beef and galbi gui (boneless ribs) were cooked right at the table, which added a fun and reassuring touch of freshness. The taste was excellent, and all the accompanying sauces complemented the dishes beautifully. We left full and happy with all our choices. The restaurant itself was cozy, nicely decorated, and the service met all expectations. If you are going to use the name of a classic Korean dish, at least serve something vaguely close to it. To make it worse, they told me KBBQ required ordering for 2 people minimum, so I was forced to buy two portions of this lie. That policy is already obnoxious, but it feels even worse when the food itself is misrepresented. And then the Korean pancakes came served with cream cheese. Very authentic. Nothing says traditional Korean food quite like random cream cheese slapped onto dishes that do not call for it. Overall, this place felt overpriced, misleading, and gimmicky. When I got off the U-Bahn and found Madang, I was relieved to see it was owned by Korean people, and that there were Asian people eating -- VERY good sign! I decided to walk in and dine inside. I was greeted by a lady wearing a traditional Korean outfit, which I thought was pretty cool with the decor too. I ordered the bibimbap, and it was a hot day so I did not want it in the hot stone pot with the egg, but the lady convinced me anyway, so I did. When it came out, I was expecting it to be burning hot, like back in California, but it actually was hot enough for the egg to cook but cool enough for me to start digging in immediately! It also came with seaweed soup, beans and hot sauce. The bibimbap is definitely NOT the best nor close to California quality, but because I have little expectations in Berlin, I was satisfied! It could have used more meat though... I also did not think the hot sauce was hot enough...I put the whole thing in there, barely tasted spice. I guess I will ask for more next time. The seaweed soup was good, I avoided the beans, and the kimchi was...alright, kind of like kimchi you get at some ramen places. Anyway, if this was in California, I would give it 2.5 stars, but because I'm in Berlin AND because the servers were so nice (even let me take pictures of my stuffed blue fly inside and complimented it!), I will give this place four stars. They made me feel secure eating by myself too, haha. And I also got watermelon after my bill! Yay! (:

We went for bibimbap and beer - not the most original of choices but everything was delicious. Prices were reasonable, staff were friendly and the whole place had a warm and bustling atmosphere. We'd definitely come back.
