Nori chicken tacos
Jia O.

I loved the chicken nori tacos, inventive Asian comfort/soulfood! I'm coming back for the kimchi fries and doner. Cute streetside shop with really friendly staff.

really tasty, fast, friendly, nice price, nice place, sense of design. its really nice in summer. i tried nori tako, and bibim box with chicken. they created really good in 'fushion food' im korean, but its also good taste for me too. most of korean restaurants which ive tried were a bit only for 'Ausländer(foriegner)' but ban ban kitchen mixed very well. i will try also kimchi pommes next time. there is Hite, korean beer, its fresh and also good for drinking, like coke. many friends of mine love ban ban kitchen also.

Kimchi fries and nori tacos
June K.

There is barely something as nice as nori tacos in the middle of the night. For real. I mean it! Ban Ban kitchen is a small cosy food stall randomly set on the side way which offers some pretty good S(e)oul food. The kitchen is Asian fusion and you have the choice between burgers with kimchi and bulbogi or tacos wrapped in seaweed with rice and other yummy toppings. Ever wondered if kimchi goes well with fried? They do! Try it here! Their menu isn't huge but everything is so good that in the end you want to order all of it. And to be fair... Do it. #yolo

Interesting & contemporary but it was a bit bland for our taste buds. It's still worth trying & I'd definitely have Ban Ban again.

Mwoa..Burger was ok, not great. Price for the burger was ok too. But with fries and a drink the meal is waaaaaaaay overpriced at 15 euro's.

Streetfood Korean Style. Good prices and certainly something different compared to the your regular Döner. Recommended.

Overpriced and not very tasty. Bulgogi Bim Box quite average, too many flavors literally mushed in together.

Had the soy burger and kimchi fries and they were really tasty but there could be more volume for value on the burger's end.

Everything in the platter was delicious, but the falafel in particular was out of this world!!! It was so different from the falafels I'm used to. It's crunchy on the outside. And these falafels are HUGE! My friend lives in Berlin and this is her favorite place to eat. Come here if you have the chance, you won't regret it.

Al-Andalos is located in the busy part of Neukölln, right on Sonnenallee. On a Saturday night at 10 p.m., it was full to the rim. No seats, stressed out staff, people fight for seats and the spot in the line to get the delicious food. We ordered the Al-Andalos platter for two (meat) for 11 EUR, which comes with an entire package of Arabic/Lebanese bread. We were barely able to finish the entire plate, there are many tasty things on this plate and even my companion that night, who is generally not so quickly to impress, admitted that it was probably the best he has eaten in a long time. Fresh, tasty, large portions and fair prices. Staff is super friendly and attentive! I think I will have to drive out to Neukölln more often!

This is a popular place for currywurst with a line. It's not bad, but it's just cut up sausage…read morewith ketchup and curry powder, so I don't know what the big deal is. The sausage is flavorful on its own, and drowning it in ketchup does not make it better (1 star off) and the sprinkles of curry powder gets drowned in the ketchup making it obsolete too (1 star off). Vegan currywurst is an option, but I did not like it. There are a few high-top tables with standing room only, and customers are cordial in sharing the small space. They accept credit cards. I find the tacky murals featuring Cold War era politicians more entertaining than the currywurst.

So good and the service is fast and super friendly. When I travel I only bring one or two cards just in case. It was my first morning so I didn't have cash, my only card I had on me was AMEX. They do not accept that so to my embarrassment, I couldn't pay for my order, I explained that I have to go get cash or get another card at my hotel, they insisted that I take my order and eat and come back later. I was so taken aback. I ate and returned and they were surprised. Please support the business. You won't be disappointed and the line is super fast due to their efficiency. Delicious!

I'm not going to get into the religious war over whether Konopke or Curry 36 makes better curry…read morewurst. It's sausages smothered in ketchup with a sprinkling of curry powder for crying out loud. You can get those anywhere in Berlin-like here. What makes this place special? There's no line to stand in, unlike those touristy places above. You read the menu, you order, you sit down and wait for the guy to call your order. We tried Curry wurst with and without Darm, curry boulette and pommes frites (french fries). Total was 5 Euro. Can I tell the difference between curry wurst with and without Darm? (That's the other religious war over curry wurst). No. They're smothered in ketchup. You taste ketchup, then curry, then the bleeding sausage, so get over it. I think you're more likely to taste a difference between Heinz or Aldi ketchup than between Darm and no Darm. The Pommes were excellent. Crispy on the outside and tender inside. All the food is prepared to order so you have to wait for the food, but on the other hand it is fresh (which matters more on the pommes than the meats). If you want Mayo or ketcup on your pommes, it's 20 cents extra. (If you're getting curry anything, don't bother with ketchup for the pommes, you'll have plenty. Did I mention "smothered"?) There area a couple of stand-up tables at the counter, or you can carry your food a few meters to the park benches. You may be in Rixdorf, but this is proletarian food. A satisfying snack in the neighbourhood without taking the subway or standing in line.
