They have three types of kimchee. My favorite one is radish kimchi. The kimchee dish was too sour for me.

When we came in, we got seated right away. They gave us three plates of different kimchee. My favorite was the radish kimchee. The house kimchee was too sour for us. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and Meat Jun. When the plate came out, the chicken katsu didn't look the same as Kim Chee 1. I tried it and it wasn't bad though. I liked the meat jun. My dad ordered the bbq beef and Mochiko chicken. He said he would definitely come back here for the bbq beef.

We love it here!!! Parking can be a little bit tight, but there is parking in the area. Every time we're craving meat Jun this is the spot we go to. It is a bit tight in this restaurant so we usually do takeout when we have the whole family with us because my son is special needs so it's a little hard to find a spot for him to sit down without being in someone's way. But when he's not with us, we love to eat in. They have a bunch of vegetable sides. All of them are always delicious. The meat Jun here is our family's favorite and their Kalbi too! We usually order the meal for two and they naturally give so much food that it feeds our family of six... for now because the kids are still little. But I believe that meal can easily feed three adults. This restaurant feels like those family restaurants that you just go to and grow up with. We love it here the food is always good. Everything taste amazing. I've never had any problems with the service so no complaints on my end. Love this place.

First time here! I noticed it is always busy. Expect a wait and come early! We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The portions are so huge, there will be leftover. The food was pretty good. The meat jun and seafood pancake was my favorite. The pickled dishes were tasty and can be refilled. Just a suggestion for them that they could upgrade their seats and tables.

We've been eating here a lot lately. No matter how busy they are (and they're always busy), the service is always amazing and the food and portions are fantastic. I can never finish my whole plate and I always have enough to take home for another meal the next day. My go-to is always the Combo Plate C. I love their big bone Kalbi along with their Meat Jun and BBQ chicken. I really love their kimchee variety too, which they refill for you so you can eat to your heart's content. This is a small place with limited seating so you will often have to sign in and wait for a table. The wait is not usually long though and it's worth it. It can get really busy here especially in the evening, but it's not uncommon during lunch as well.

First time dining here. Four of us made plans to have lunch here at 11 am. 3 of us arrived early and when the Open sign turned on at 10:30 we entered. We were given a regular menu and a single sheet with Lunch Combos. Three of us decided upon a two choice lunch combo with different choices. One wanted cold noodles. Our jaws literally dropped in awe as the first plate arrived with vegetable tempura and bbq pork. It was humongous!!! My meat Jun and zucchini was pretty huge as well. The person who ordered kalbi with another choice paid $3+ extra for the kalbi selection. We all remarked how delicious our meals were and we all took left overs home. The servers are friendly, refill your water and don't chase you out after you paid the bill. We hadn't all met together since Covid so we had lots to catch up on. You will need to ask for a key to use the outside restroom. The interior furniture and menus show they've been in use for quite some time. If you don't mind that, the food alone is worth coming for or you could order take out.

Local Korean restaurant with ginormous portions! We got the 2-choice lunch plates with meat jun, fried mandoo, vegetable tempura, and tonkatsu. Very affordable price especially given the huge size! The veggie in the tempura seemed to be more raw so it wasn't our favorite. The tonkatsu was interesting as it was very thin. The meat jun and mandoo were good. Banchan and a small bowl of seaweed soup is included! They were busy but service was fast and great! Small cute local restaurant vibes.

Dinner in Aiea, Hawaii... My friend and I were at a seminar at Aiea Library and she wanted to have dinner afterwards. I saw Ruby S. check in at Kim Chee Restaurant 7 and thought - wow... that's nearby! Let's try it! Located at Westridge Center, Kim Chee 7 was on the ground level, to the right of the Hawaii State Credit Union. The restroom is "under the stairs" and a key is needed for the door. Shared parking was free. I walked in and signed my name on the clipboard at the cashier's station. The place was packed! I saw four parties signed in ahead of us, and two tables were being cleared. That meant that we'd be seated soon. The friendly worker called us in and pointed to the middle table. It was set with menus, cups of iced water, utensils, napkins, and three dishes of banchan. I ordered Mixed Plate Special A because it had some of everything: BBQ chicken, meat jun, BBQ beef, and fried mandoo. My plate came with a bowl of white rice and a bowl of seaweed soup. Everything tasted great! I wasn't able to finish since the portion was very generous! My friend ordered a mini chicken katsu, but the portion was massive. I knew she wouldn't be able to eat everything! We both got takeout containers for our leftovers and will probably have meals for a couple of days!

Weeknight family dinner. Open the door, write your name and number of guests in your party on sign in sheet at front counter, wait outside for your name to be called by the staff. Casual and crowded. Massive portions considering the prices. Sufficient for three meals. Intuitive and superb customer service from the staff. Seaweed soup tasted comforting. Pickled radish was on point. Mochiko Chicken was partially coated in batter and most of the pieces tasted dry. Meat is a little tougher and doesn't adhere to the egg mixture for meat jun. Spicy Ahi Won tasted ok. Pickled seaweed passed the taste test. Bean sprouts and cabbage were not pickled long enough and tasted crunchy. I care more about quality than quantity.

One of my favorite Korean restaurants. The portions are huge and the service is always on point. They do get super busy since the restaurant is not very big so be prepared to wait if you come during peak meal times. You can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu but I always get the big bone kalbi and meat jun combo. The best!!

It been a while since we stoped by Kimchee 7 We had a craving for Korean so I got the following that never misses Meatjun and kalbi combo

Kimchee offered when you sit down
    Natalie T.

Like a Mexican restaurant, rather offers chips and salsa, Kim Chee offered Kim Chee at the table when we sat down. The food was delicious. This is the place locals eat at. The portions were huge. The side order of kalabi beef was also huge. I believe the photo shows a piece already taken out. The karaage chicken was also delicious. Would definitely recommend. The only downside is that the restroom is a short walk around the building. So if you're alone with little kids, you'll need to pack up your family so I'd suggest to use the restroom before or after.

Food-tasty Service-fast, friendly. Take out moment because we have our yellow Labrador with us. This is my 1st time eating from this location, luckily I live in Pearl City and made a phone order, picked up in 20 minutes.

New menus - not using spellcheck is "hazardous" as well....

Food here is amazing however it's first come first served, a bit of wait, but it's worth it. Missing Kim Chee 3.

The restaurant has a traditional but modern vibe, and there were plenty of parking available! We opted for the Premium AYCE selection, and the options were all very good. My fiance and I particularly enjoyed the beef tongue, marinated galbi, and the marinated finger beef. My fiance liked the intestine as well, but I was less a fan since the method of grilling at MBR could not get it to crisp like how I like it (personal preference). Overall, attentive service, good quality of meats, and enjoyable banchan dishes as well.

My noodles came quickly and then the banchan. Unfortunately I finished my noodles before my husbands dish arrived. It finally did come out, sizzling and he started eating. Our server didn't check back on us once. She was eating her lunch and waiting on the tables with the BBQs. We had to wave at her a bunch of times to ask for a refill of 1 side dish and when she finally came over she said a bunch of not so friendly Korean things to me and then stormed off. A few minutes later she came back with the side dish and sort of flung it at us. We won't be back. The service was terrible and the food just okay. I really don't like the taste of their cold noodles but Choi's Garden closed down last month and Yu Chun has the same problem with surly servers who can ruin a meal. Come on. Korean restaurants can do better in Honolulu. We don't always feel like BBQ so treat those of us who don't order the meat spread with a little more respect. Plus, we are seniors who don't like food being flung at us and being yelled at in Korean. We still tip 22% for almost all dining out, but I think we will need to be more selective in the future. What has happened to dining out lately. It is a sad statement that one is treated like that when eating out is so expensive and becoming a luxury for a lot of us. I hope their management cares about their service ratings.
