To the people below, that dog has an underlying medical issue. I've seen your FB post and your vet wanted to perform bloodwork and you DECLINED. Stop blaming this poor groomer for YOUR negligence.

My dog came back from this groomer with severe razor burn, nicks, cuts. Nipples cut off.

I'm writing this review in response to Yelp reviewer Barbara L. Who is an absolute liar. I know…read morefor certain that the day in question she says the groomers at this facility shoved her out the door...THEY WEREN'T OPEN!!!! They had closed the shop that day due to a local festival called the Sting Fling here in Azle, Tx. Not only do I know they were closed, but I personally saw them AT THE FESTIVAL. Furthermore, I have a degree in veterinary medicine, zoology and biology. It is not possible to get an ear infection from allegedly dirty grooming instruments in one day. Ear infections in dogs are usually caused due to yeast trapped in the ear or because of that dogs nasal allergies. If this woman claims her dog instantly had an ear infection, she's a liar. Also, the dog in the picture on her review is not a Bichon Freise. It is a Miniature Poodle. If she isn't even able to get her dog breed correct, why would believe anything she says? Now: MY review of Azle Pet Salon. I have a seizure alert dog who is difficult to groom and hates being groomed. I don't trust my $50,000 dog to just anyone. But I trust Frederick, Anthony, Daniel and Shelly implicitly. They have ALWAYS done an excellent job. There has never once been razor burn or marks where she was shaved too close. Not only does my dog look wonderful when I pick her up but she actually enjoys going TO the groomer, she has never enjoyed visiting any other groomer in her nine years (she's been going to APS for 3 years). Furthermore, the boys are friendly and loving to their customers; they rescue abandoned animals and contribute greatly to our community. You should be ashamed of yourself Barbara L. For being an out and out liar! Signed, Dr. Kat Mac Kenzie, DVSc.

After having a bad experience at my previous groomer, I was a little hesitant to try somewhere new,…read morebut I'm so glad I did. They were able to get my dog in the same day, which was a huge plus. They did an amazing job! My dog looks so cute, and the haircut is exactly how I wanted it. It's usually really hard to find a groomer who gets his look just right, but they absolutely nailed it. Everyone was friendly, the process was easy, and you can tell they care about the dogs. I'll definitely be bringing him back and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great groomer!

first time writing a review but this is well needed. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG, PLEASE THINK TWICE…read moreBEFORE BRINGING THEM HERE. I apologize for the long winded review. I have a mini poodle who is about a year old and has had approximately a dozen haircuts without ever experiencing an injury. I decided to try a new grooming salon, and unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision. After his appointment at The Groom Room, I noticed cuts around his private areas, and the tip of his private area appeared extremely red and inflamed. I was understandably concerned, especially because this had never happened after any of his previous grooming appointments. I called the very next day to express my concerns, and instead of taking them seriously, Gabrielle, the owner and groomer, immediately dismissed me and insisted that the injuries did not happen there. To be fair, I could not personally confirm exactly where his injuries occurred, but neither could Gabrielle or her employee. That is precisely why I sought a professional medical opinion rather than making assumptions. I took my dog to the veterinarian as soon as possible. After examining him, the vet provided a written statement documenting their findings and confirming my concerns regarding his injuries and infection. I returned to the salon with that documentation, hoping they would take the situation seriously. Instead, I was once again dismissed and treated disrespectfully as a paying customer. As a pet owner, it is incredibly upsetting to trust someone with your fur baby who cannot tell you what happened to them, only to feel that your concerns are being brushed aside when something goes wrong. Accidents can happen, but how a business responds to a customer's legitimate concerns speaks volumes about its professionalism and accountability. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that my dog has had wonderful experiences at his usual grooming salon, with no injuries whatsoever. I tried somewhere new, and this is the result. I will not be returning. I am sharing photos of his injuries, the veterinary documentation, and other customer reviews so that fellow pet owners can make an informed decision before trusting this business with their animals. Our pets depend on us to protect them, and they deserve to be treated with care, patience, and respect. I would never want another pet owner to experience the same stress and frustration I have experienced throughout this situation. Please do your research before booking an appointment here. I know I will never make the mistake of switching from a groomer I trust again.

I found this place to wash our dog after realizing the bathtub wasn't going to cut it, and we don't…read morehave a backyard to wash him. Now as a disclaimer, our dog is a 100lb dog, 2.5 feet tall from his feet to the top of his back, and almost 5 feet long. He is a long, big, and awkward dog, especially when it comes to bath time. He tries to run away, until he finally surrenders once you get him in the tub. This makes it impossible to bathe him at home. On top of that, full grooming from other places is just too expensive to do every 6 weeks. Metro Animals Pet Wash is such a convenient, money saving option between full grooming sessions, or even in place of them! I still prefer to take my dog every few months for a full grooming session (minus a haircut) but having a place to easily bathe him in between is amazing. At Metro, too bathe our dog it costs $25, and it includes shampoo, conditioner, drying, nail clippers, ear cleaner, hairbrushes, breath spray, and a nice scented spray. I could not ask for anything better, in a giant tub, and a way to wrangle him and keep him in one place. Plus, they have treats for sale at the front to reward your dog for being great during bath time! On top of this, the staff is always so kind and helpful, as well as receptive to any and all questions. My husband and I were nervous to cut his nails as we had never done it, but she walked us through how to cut them and from there we were golden. Huge thank you to Metro Animals Pet Wash for being such a convenient and affordable place to wash my dog!

Got our dogs back and they'd been washed but didnt look like they had been groomed or even brushed in the slightest. Ending up costing about $190 for pretty much just a bath. Will not be going back.
