My good friend gave me a gift certificate for my bday for cranial massage . I decided not to use the gift and contacted Kimberly twice by text and once by voicemail. No response . She came recommended by my girlfriend but I decided I would see someone closer to home . I had reached out to her to see if I could have my girlfriend use it since she is closer to her . I even verified her number to make sure I did not by mistake text the wrong person . No response in this case in my opinion is fraudulent behavior as the money has already been paid for. Even if this lady is not willing to allow me to regift it to my friend , a simple and friendly response would have been fine . I have never met this person so I don't know how good or bad she is with her job. But I certainly do not appreciate her unprofessional behavior. A simple apology would have suffice . I've been seeing Kimberly for cranial-sacral therapy for almost a year now, and it's been very useful for calming my nervous system during times when I'm especially stressed or anxious. I always leave the session more relaxed and centered, and often experience better sleep after the days that I see her. It's been helpful for my neck injuries from after a car accident. Seeing her for cranial-sacral has been an important part of my self-care routine. Kimberly has such a gentle, soothing touch; I often feel better right away as soon as the session starts. Her hands seem to know instinctively where to touch and about how much pressure my body is wanting at that particular moment. (First name is Racheal, middle is Aurora) I purchased fat cavitation treatments from Groupon and Kimberly was supposed to be the technician. I read multiple peer reviewed actual medical articles on the benefits of this versus more invasive procedures and just wanted to try it out. I called the phone number provided to check availability for the first appointment and the voicemail advised to send a text message to schedule. I sent a text message and it was several hours later that I heard back and the conversation over the next 24 hours went abruptly downhill. Within less than a few sentences, and no knowledge of my body type, goals, or otherwise, Kimberly immediately began to upsell a second fat cavitation package (we still haven't consoled, met in person, or even set up the first appointment). This was definitely off-putting so I declined indicating that I would rather try the treatments first before buying eight of them total. Even if the recommendation were 12+, I was fine purchasing them at cost outside of Groupon if the treatment appeared to show some benefits or even if the treatment showed the potential for benefits with more treatments. But we hadn't discussed any of this yet. She then indicated that she would not be selling me the second package following New Year's Day, and I again indicated I did not wish to purchase any additional treatments, especially with someone who has yet to gain any knowledge of my body type, style, goals, realistic expectations, etc. she then simply referred me to her website which had conflicting information from her text messages in terms of treatment numbers which was also concerning. I'm on the low end of normal for BMI So I'm not looking for a miracle, which is how she referred to what I was asking for, I'm just looking to tone one, potentially two specific areas that have some scarring. But again, she never once asked for this information. From this point on, I became extremely nervous about a treatment provider doing any sort of medical, clinical, or cosmetic procedures on me when they first neglect to even schedule a consult to get an idea of what the patient/client is looking for (the medical field specifically is something I have more than average training in and prior certifications in). And I was still off put by the initial, very immediate attempt to upsell a secondary package before any other conversation had occurred. Upon expressing this concern, Kimberly became very passive-aggressive and began using statements such as "I'm sorry my 50% offer....... was offensive to you." and, "apologies for trying to be honest and giving". It came off very snarky and this is not somebody I would want to communicate with in the future. She also essentially called me a liar by saying I've never called her to which I indicated I had the phone records to prove I had. I actually had to ask her multiple times to please stop texting me as her texts consisted of essentially large paragraphs in which I felt berated and downgraded as a potential client. If you're looking for a very simple massage or something and experienced massage therapist can perform without lots of communication, I wouldn't see an issue. But for anything more invasive, to which she seems to have very little experience because I'm unable to locate any qualifications with the cavitation device, I would look elsewhere. I was actually able to find another group on for the same amount of treatments at a cheaper price by a facility that does them very frequently with great results in the area.
