I love coming here to get my nails done! I make the drive out here to visit some family members and whenever I need to treat myself, I come here! Kim and her staff are so sweet and warm people. For the first few visits, it's always just been quiet and not too many people. Now many people have found this gem too and can definitely agree. I had a full on conversation with another client (stranger), Kim, and Lisa! The atmosphere is very genuine. My usually is just gel mani/pedi. French tips for the toes and always a cute-sy design for nails. The work of the gel on my toe nails are amazing! No lumps, cleaned cuticles, perfect French tips. These usually last over two months in me!!! (My toe nails grow slow). my usual is Kim! Her designs are just exactly how I ask or when I can't decide she draws the most beautiful flowers. Lately I've been into a full acrylic gel set and showed a few designs to see if they can imitate it. Some are just a flat out no, but they are willing to try. Based on previous experiences I was so sure they'd still improvise something great and I was right!!! Lisa applied the acrylic so clean and smooth and shaped my nails exactly how I wanted it. Another time I just didn't know what to get so I let Lisa do her magic and design another full gel acrylic set that was so cute and pleasing. If you want a good acrylic job, go to her!! Stopped in randomly for gels and pedicure: $41. The establishment is clean and staff were friendly and welcoming. When massaging your feet they also use a hot rock to rub the soles. So I've been here a lot of times for pedicures and have always been very happy! However, most recently I went for a pedicure and acrylic fill and I was wildly disappointed with the acrylic fill. Kim (the owner) was the one to do my nails and she tore up my cuticles repeatedly with the sander - see photo. All the sanding didn't do much to make my nails better either; they came out lumpy and uneven and she didn't bother to file them down at all so now I have super long acrylics and torn up cuticles that I have to deal with until the next time I go in to my normal place in Sacramento. TLDR: great pedicure but definitely don't go here for an acrylic fill. read more

They definitely lost my business. Lady had an attitude (the one that looks like a little man) cut me with her nail file on each finger (under my nail). Hurt like hell! And all she could do was smile . The older lady with the glasses doesn't know how to do anything so don't go to her! And the owner is the one who did the ombré design on my nails. All very bad! I came to this place to get some waxing done because my daughter's preschool is in the same plaza. I thought I would give it a try . There were 3 people working and one person there getting serviced. I asked if they did waxing and they sent me to the room. Ok. That's normal. The lady seemed like she was in a rush, didn't make any small talk. That's fine, don't talk to me... But take your time with MY face! She kept yanking my head side to side to get me to switch as she worked on an eyebrow. She could've asked me to move or tilt my head. No. She decided to not vocalize her needs and just keep yanking at my head. To make matters worse, her hand was heavy and felt like she was ripping my skin off! I called ahead and ended up coming here after work about an hour before they closed because my usual nail salon was busy. I had the worst experience and learned my lesson. The guy who did my manicure did the most rush painting job I've ever experienced. Not to mention he barely filed my nails down and did not clean underneath them. He half rubbed some lotion on my forearms after painting them before applying my top coat and didn't use a warm towel or massage anything. The woman who did my pedicure was more thorough and my feet feel clean, but my toenails were completely crooked and uneven, and the paint job was beyond terrible. A few of my toe nails were only half painted and she didn't clean up the edges she ran over onto my skin with a brush. On top of it all I did not see either of them pull out clean tools from a fresh bag and the foot soak tubs are not lined. Praying I don't get an infection from someone else and their unsanitary habits. After a long day of work I wanted to treat myself and I had to come home and take off all the polish, re-file and cut my nails, and repaint them myself. The guy was in such a rush to leave I had to pay before half of the pedicure was done and ended up tipping both of them generously which I regret. This place is cheap and it's cheap for a reason. I have been here twice and am looking for a new salon nearby. For the Pedicure, i just got a simple one, the chairs are nice. But they didn't really take alot of time on the massage at all. Also, it got me looking around at how dirty the floor is and how they throw the work utensils back in their place and not cleaning them. yucky. For gel manicures, they have a ton of options and colors. The staff doesn't have alot of pride in their work- they were yawning and looked like they hated being there. They definately are one of those places that talk about you in a different language as you are staring at them. It's so rude, we know your talking shit about us. The gels lasted 2 weeks really well so i went back again. same problem, very dirty, everyone looked less than thrilled to be working there, definately was talked about and major issue: the soak off the gels in the solution and then CHARGE YOU FIVE BUCKS FOR IT!!! I almost had a heart attack. i've been getting gels for years now and never have been thrown in a charge like that. it was complete crap! And to get lotion on your hands, you have to ask and they barely do it and the massage is 10 seconds. Have some pride in your work and NEVER SKIMP on a woman's hand massage with lotion. They didn't even give a hot towel.. oh! and they lef tthe nail polish clipping on the towel the entire time during the massage and then brushed them all on the floor. A friend of mine recommended this place for their low price, mani pedi cal remover $29 not a bad price but they were so fast my feet weren't smooth and it is the worse paint job on my nails when I asked if she could finish the cal removal she said no with a "B" attitude and said she already did it! Anyway, I was waiting for my daughter who thought she was just getting a fill but instead they gave her a gel fill at $29 normally she pays $25 closer to home! I have yet to find my neighborhood nail salon but this place is really at the bottom of all the places I've tried so far. Their tools are placed in a so-called "sterilizer" which looks disgusting and the lady who did my nails was a total b. She had a bad attitude and was totally rude, complaining in Vietnamese as if people don't get that you're talking trash. This was BY FAR the BEST Mani/Pedi I've EVER had!!!!!! Their studio is small and unexciting, but clean and friendly. They have the most polish selections I've ever seen (gel and regular). I picked out my colors with the help of the super patient technician (I was having trouble matching gel nail polish with regular toe polish).... Long story short they were careful and took their time, they didn't tear up my nails to put on gel polish, the massage was amazing, and SURPRISE!!! you get hit stone massage with your basic pedi!!! Working long and unpredictable hours, I have found it difficult to find a place that's open late, does great work, has outstanding nail polish selection, is diligent, takes their time with massages, and has great prices. Kimberly's nails has all of this. I was going to another nail salon but got fed up with them closing whenever they wanted, and leaving early. I am so glad I found Kimberly's nails. On a number of occasions, I have called Kimberly to let her know I'd be coming in late (one time at 830pm!) and she closed at 7p, and I couldn't believe it, she stayed late. She was so incredibly diligent and spent quality time on the massages even though I was there after hours. Her hot stone foot massage was outstanding. I love experimenting with funky colors and the nail polish selection is great!! I have never seen such a selection. Can I jut tell you. I sat here for three hours waiting for my sister-in-law to get a mani/pedi. I got my pedi after about 1 hour and then just sat. Seriously it's 7:13 as I write this review. I'd like to eat dinner sometime. The pedicure was just so-so. No massage. They have a fairly decent color selection and my pedi lasted FOREVER which was what salvaged their review. I used to be a regular costumer, i've been going here for 2 years and i'm glad i can finally say i'm done with this shop. I was only attending this shop because it was close to my house. my last visit there I got my usual nails which is acrylic nails that cost $30. After the lady put the fake nail on and started filing, she told me it was going to be $15 extra because of the size. Note this, i got them the shortest i've ever gotten them before and they were still more expensive than my longer ones. The lady cut my nails multiple times and actually drew blood. The service was so terrible I was not going to leave a tip, until I was demanded to do so. This nail shop is not good nor friendly. If you want excellent service at a reasonable price, by people who care, you must go to Kimberly's for nails, waxing or massage! I rarely write detailed reviews, but this place, and in particular Steven, deserves my time to do so here. My favorite nail guy, Steven, who had worked at the nail place near the old Ralphs (now Trader Joe's in Hermosa) moved here after the old shop was bought out and the guy moved all his relatives in and DOUBLED that spa's prices and laid everyone off without notice. This place is in the strip mall just on the other side of 190th/Gould next to Petco. When I walked in here, I was initially disappointed because it seemed small and was not busy, but it had a beautiful decor. By the time I left, the people and quiet warmth of the shop won me completely. I was greeted immediately by the owner, Kimberly, at the door with a friendly smile and clear English. After showing me to Steven, she asked me if I wanted Vietnamese coffee and rushed to get it as Stephen showed me the very extensive nail color options - in gel and non-gel - that the salon offered. Many more than is usually available in these shops. Steven did his usual meticulous but fast job on my nails and Kimberly brought me the delicious cup of coffee. As Stephen worked on them, she offered me a few minutes of free neck/shoulder massage, which was excellent!!!! She said she could do it for longer at the rate of $1/minute, which I happily had her do for 10 more minutes. There was no yelling in Vietnamese from one worker to the next, no loud TV, just a blissful quiet. When I was done, relaxed and with gorgeous nails, the whole thing came to only $2 more than I used to pay at the old place just for the manicure without any massage. I floated out, very happy with the whole experience - and the cost. I made an appointment and returned another time for a facial and brazilian wax. Unlike the old and many other places who seat you immediately but then you wait and wait to actually have someone work on you, I received my scheduled services IMMEDIATELY and with just as much care as before. That respect for my time is huge to me as most retail establishments no longer seem to care for you as a human being. It has been 3 weeks and I'm going back today for Steven to do his usual amazing job. I FORGOT TO TELL YOU ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT STEVEN. He is a bit shy but is FANTASTIC about coming up with a theme of decals on my nails for holidays or whenever I am in the mood, so they look unique (I love the constant compliments I get on them) AT THE SAME PRICE of plain manicures at other stores. Of course, I tip him much better than usual when he does them for me that way. All in all, a great experience at a very reasonable price. Come here and give it a try. I went to this salon several times and was happy with their services, especially the gel manicure and the fact the they use hot stones in their pedicure. And then on one visit I forgot to mention that I had gel on my nails before we got to the manicure. If you don't know, the proper way to remove gel polish is to soak your nails in acetone - it takes a while but it doesn't damage your nails. I guess they didn't want to wait to do it correctly, because instead the manicurist used a drill? to sand off the polish. Which also ruined my nails. I've been waiting for over three months for my nails to grow out past where they were ruined. They look gross and, frankly, I've lost all confidence in Kimberly Nails staff to do the 'right' thing. I love Kimberly Nails! I have been going here for over a year now. Won't go anywhere else. Kimberly is so nice and will stay open late for you if you call ahead. It's not the fanciest place, but it does just fine in my book. Sometimes it does get busy but so do all nail salons. Even if I move, I will still make the trip to Redondo to go here. I usually get gel on the fingernails because I play volleyball and my nails are so brittle that my regular manicures never last more than a day (no matter where I have gone). On my toes, sometimes I get gel and sometimes I do regular. They do a good job and take their time. Nothing wrong with that! :) read more

I always come back here even though I live far. I work close by so I usually go after work, but on my days off its worth the drive over. They are always very friendly and remember you, if you're getting gel nails with a normal polish manicure they will match the colors for you! Really good prices and they use a hot stone for your feet during the pedicure! They do upsell but I can't resist that offer of 5 minutes extra of my foot massage :D after they wrap your legs with hot towels. I love this place, it is really the only place I go. They are not quick and can get quite busy but they are always friendly and funny. They always make time to see me as I never make an appointment. Their gel manicures are great and they last 2 weeks or more, I get them before I travel. I also like custom colors and they willingly mix the gel colors so I can get what I want. My pedicures always last months and I like getting the holiday designs. I take all my friends here, but don't go if you are on a time crunch. read more

I love getting my nails done here. They use steam cleaned tools that are packaged in sanitary plastic and paper wrapping. They do hot stone massage included in the price of a pedicure. Came here last night because I was headed to pet smart in the same lot when I noticed the salon. I just went in to get my eyebrows waxed but they were nice and not too busy so I decided to get my nails done. The hot stone used during the pedicure alone was awesome!! The lady who did my gel manicure even put a few Halloween designs and didn't over charge me. I got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, plus spa gel manicure, pedicure, plus three designs for 60 bucks. I came to this nail salon because I was in the area and the pedi price was reasonable. They helped me right away. I paid $16 for the pedi + $5 for callus. I had to mention to the tech twice that he hardly scrubbed my heals which was the reason I ALWAYS pay extra for callus when getting a pedi. He then spoke in his language to the lady at the front desk. Without getting up and looking at my heals she said I need to come several times in order for my heals to be soft and the callus work. NOT TRUE! At the nail shop I usually go to I always leave with soft heals. I then showed the tech for a 3rd time that the skin wasn't soft and it felt the same. His response was yeah-yeah. At that point I thought to myself, what a waste of money. I didn't want to make a scene so I'll take the loss! Aside from the lack of scrubbing with the callus solution it was the quickest pedi I have ever had. I want to say I was in the chair "maybe" 20min. He hardly did any work on my toe nails, he did a quick rub of oil on my legs and rubbed warm stone on my feet for maybe 30 sec each foot.
