After I had sent my initial request form, I received an email not too long after asking for me to provide my personal and insurance information. After that, my appointment was set! I came in to get some cavities filled, and I ended up getting an old silver filling replaced (finally!!). Dr.Yu took her time to thoroughly look through my teeth and make sure my new filling was perfect. I scheduled my next appointment to get my two other cavities filled as well as my 6 month cleaning. She was also very sweet, patient, and welcoming. I am so relieved to have found my new dentist!

I saw Dr. Christescu about two years ago for a routine exam and cleaning. During that visit, she…read moreidentified what she said was a cavity and told me it needed to be drilled and filled. When I began asking basic questions about the diagnosis and what she was seeing, the interaction felt abruptly shut down. My concerns were dismissed, and it was clear that there would be no discussion or explanation -- the recommendation was presented as final. Shortly after that, she left the room to attend to something else and did not return. That experience left me uncomfortable and uncertain. I had prepaid for two appointments, so I chose not to proceed with the filling and returned about six months later for the second visit. At that appointment, she again told me I needed invasive dental work, describing a procedure that involved drilling through one tooth to access the side of another. Once again, when I tried to ask questions and understand the reasoning, I felt there was no openness to discussion. At that point, I decided not to continue as a patient. What makes this especially troubling is what I learned later. Two years after those visits, I saw another dentist I trust and had a full exam and X-rays done. I was told I have no cavities and that no treatment is needed. If the issue identified two years ago had truly been urgent or progressive, you would reasonably expect it to be worse by now. Instead, it doesn't appear to exist at all. Dentistry involves permanent, irreversible procedures, and patients deserve clear explanations, thoughtful discussion, and a willingness to answer questions -- especially when aggressive treatment is being recommended. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but based on mine, I would strongly encourage patients to ask questions, trust their instincts, and seek a second opinion before agreeing to invasive dental work.

It was the most painless x-ray I've ever done. I would go here just for her. And Dr. Eric Miller is similarly amazing - kind, efficient, and communicative. I had some stains on my teeth and he went out of his way to make sure he got them all, and now my teeth sparkle. :) Going to the dentist is never fun, but Issaquah Highlands Dental Group makes doing so 1,000 times better! Also: One of my favorite things about this dental group is that they are 100% transparent up front about costs. I'm never wondering mid-procedure whether I'll be paying a huge fee afterward. They check with my insurance for me and always make sure I'm aware of and agree with the charges before doing anything. Insurance can be a pain to figure out, and this level of transparency puts Issaquah Highlands Dental Group above and beyond all other providers.

Best dentist ever!!…read more I've had my fair share of crummy dentist and poor fillings, leading to a pretty significant fear of the dentist over time. After dealing with a really bad tooth my whole pregnancy Dr. Wellborn was able to squeeze me in last minute to get my tooth assessed. He could see how much pain this was causing me and immediately started repairing my tooth. He was so kind and non-judgmental of the fact that it had been years since I'd had any dental work done and made an effort to keep me as relaxed as possible. Dr. Wellborn is so casual and has such a great sense of humor about everything. I never fear walking into his office and love all the kind people that welcome you in. Since coming here for my emergency appointment I have become a regular patient and gotten all my family members in for cleanings with him as well.
