UPDATE: I will not be going back. I showed up for my appointment on time, waited 10 minutes, then was told it was going to be "at least" another 20 minutes. This was the third appointment I had with them for a simple cleaning after the other two appointments were canceled. They have zero respect for my time and the time I took off of work for a simple cleaning. I will be going elsewhere from now on. Great staff! No high pressure sales. The tells you want he recommends and the staff gives you the estimate. Today I went in for a crown and left with the permanent crown seated. There is no need for a follow up appointment. I came to Dr Pav's office when I first moved to Seattle and they're easily the best dental office I've ever been to. First off, Dr. Pavlovich really knows his stuff and gives a genuine interest in any way he can improve your smile. Although he's a younger guy, I've never met a dentist so knowledgable. Secondly, it's a newer office with all of the latest and greatest dental gadgets so you really can be confident that with Pav behind the wheel, you're getting the best dental care possible. Finally, the rest of the staff is all very lively and cheerful. My hygenist Erin is the bees knees. I always leave my routine cleanings with a sparkly clean smile and good conversation. She loves chatting with patients, and our conversations always seem to pick up right where we left off the last time! All in all, top dental office in Seattle. I am new to Seattle from NYC. I found Dr. Pavlovich's office first because he accepts my dental insurance and second because his Yelp reviews were all positive. I've learned there's absolutely no hype in anything you read here on Yelp. It's all true. The staff at Dr. Pavlovich's office are welcoming and extremely friendly. I've never waited more than just a few minutes for my appointments and always thought the service and care I've gotten was thorough, appropriate and as comfortable as dental work can be. It had been a while since my last dentist visit. I came in for my first visit a little embarrassed, but I was never left feeling even remotely silly for neglecting my checkups. On that first visit I received a thorough cleaning and a clear and concise detailing of a followup I would need to replace old fillings. All told, I visited 3 times and was each time pleased and grateful for the care I received. I was especially appreciative of the doctors demeanor, the receptionist's warm greetings, and the communicative attention to detail paid when I was in the chair. This is a top-notch dental practice that provides quality care in a comfortable and friendly environment. I don't pass out many 5 stars. This one is deserved. My next checkup is Feb. Dr. Pavlovich and company do a smash up job! I'n contrast to my old dental office (which was also good) I really enjoy the modern tools and staff that comprise Pavlovich Dental. First the Staff: Everyone I've run into at the office is really great and always friendly and upbeat. Dr P is a younger dentist then I've seen in the past, but don't let this scare you. His acumen is razor sharp and he has a lot of energy for his work. Lindsey one of the hygienists is extremely pleasant and is the most gentile hygienists I've ever had. Even the admin staff take pride in their work and are genuinely enjoyable to interact with. the Tools: Lindsey uses an ultrasonic pic for dental cleanings, and this makes for a much quicker and more comfortable cleaning! When you arrive in the chair there is a large wide screen computer with a display of all my teeth and previous work. One time when my x-rays had led to a cavity Dr. Pavlovich used a program to show me the x-rays and showed me exactly how they see a cavity and the relative densities of my teeth. Now, I know you don't necessarily need these bells and whistles to have good dental service, but I take some comfort knowing my Dentist is using modern tools and collecting and utilizing the best available information in my dental care. If your in West Seattle you owe it to your mouth to give them a try for your next cleaning or exam. read more

I will never recommend Dr. Pavlovich to anyone. I had a crown break, it was a tooth colored porcelain crown that the prior owner (Dr. Krieger) had installed. Well I went to Dr. Pavlovich to replace the crown. He replaced my broken, tooth colored crown with one that had a Black hole in it. Yes, it didn't match the rest of my teeth at all.!! I opened my mouth to see black cement. I called to complain and said I would never be back to that office. I have never returned. Unfortunately I still see a Big Black Spot when I open my mouth. I had a very pleasant experience with dr. Pavlovich and his entire staff which is something I've never said while walking out of a dentist office. Walking in I was greeted by the front counter person, Kortney, who was very helpful and friendly and really put me at ease. Lisa was my hygienist and she was extremely helpful in answering my questions and did an excellent job in cleaning with as little discomfort as possible! I was very pleased with how gentle yet effective she was. Her and dr. Pav went over the findings with me and explained everything in great detail. Finally onto the billing coordinator Heather. Again, very friendly and helpful in working with my insurance and setting up a plan for the work I still need to have done. I felt as if I knew the whole staff and was treated as a friend, not just a client. read more

I've spent a lot of time sitting in Dr. Pavlovich's office this year with two cracked teeth. He and his staff are always accommodating, making the not so fun experience of going to the dentist both pleasant and easy. He needed to send me to an (award winning) specialist for one issue and her comment after looking at his work was "I'm not supposed to say this, but he is the best dentist. This is literally textbook." I've recommend him to friends (including totally scaredy cats) and all have come back saying the same things - nice guy, great staff, and awesome dentist. read more

Only dentist I can say I love going to see! I have a needle phobia and Matthew is the only dentist that gives me a needle with out gas! I couldn't believe it. Also, fantastic in communication. I never have to ask about what's going on. He let you know what's going on during the procedure. Amazingly respectful and polite to his staff and patients. Best dentist I have ever had. Period. I just had some unexpected issue and dr. Pavlovich was willing to take me in on a short notice. He has top notch, very modern and height tech equipment. I moved to WS a year ago and decided to try Pavlovich Dental as my new dentist. The appointment was fine, the office was nice, and overall experience ok. However, months later I received a bill for $120 from them. I've never gotten a bill after a teeth cleaning in my entire life, so it was very odd. To make a long story short, they suggested doing a full mouth series x-ray instead of just bite wing x-rays, which most insurance companies only cover every 5 years. They should've known this and made sure I would be covered, but I'm sure they just wanted the extra money in their pocket. I will not be going back. read more

Heather is the rudest person whom I've ever spoken to over the phone. I felt as though I was not being taken seriously and she even went as far to laugh at me when I asked a simple question. I decided to try to go in for an appointment anyway, but I was 30 minutes late. Everything felt very rushed and I felt like I was just there to pay and leave. My negative experience here was really only with one employee but it was bad enough that I decided to start frequenting another dental practice. I had come in twice for deep cleanings and x rays and the hygienist was very pleasant and did a great job so I had no issues from a performance standpoint. My issues arose when I had to start working with the billing person Heather.  I have Dental insurance as well as an HSA to help cover out of pocket expenses. The first time that I was billed my insurance paid out $20 over what they estimated the insurance payment to be (for which I still have not been reimbursed) which I intended to just have applied to future services as I had just scheduled to have my wisdom teeth removed. My wisdom teeth needed to be removed fairly quickly because I had developed an infection and when I spoke with Heather about the procedure I was informed that sedation would cost an extra $500 because my insurance would not cover it. They also offered a "light sedation" which is essentially just anti-anxiety medication that would be cheaper but still not covered by my insurance (after going to another practice I found that my insurance does cover sedation and it only cost me $90 out of pocket) so I decided to just do it without any form of sedation. When I called to set up the billing I asked if it would be possible to bill half on my HSA now and half in 30 days after my employer added my quarterly HSA contribution Heather said that was against their policy and all bills were required to be paid at the time of service further she said that she had never heard of a dental practice that would do this. I said that my previous dentist did this as a standard practice (my new one does also) and then she replied that she didn't know what every other dental office's rules were. Huh? Why did she feel confident enough to imply that no Dentist did this until proven otherwise? I said that due to the previous billing error I didn't feel comfortable paying out of pocket until my insurance check came through and I knew exactly how much was owed out of pocket. She said the estimates were almost always correct and that I would have to pay up front despite my last estimate clearly being off. At this point I was looking at an over $500 out of pocket procedure with no sedation and the frustration of having to deal with a billing person who seemed to be lying, getting caught and still not budging on a payment arrangement. I decided at this point that I would look around for another practice. I looked around and found another practice that would be happy to work with my payment schedule and was able to put sedation under my insurance all they needed was a referral to set up the appointment. I figured that Dr. Pavlovich's office would be willing to at least refer me to another office. Wrong. They refused and I had to go into the new office to get a referral from the dentist there. Luckily they again found a way to bill my insurance for the visit. But the whole time I had infected gums and teeth that needed to be removed. Basically Dr. Pavlovich's office puts profits before patients and there are much better and more ethical practices out there. The whole procedure at my new office ended up costing $120 out of pocket with sedation and went off without a hitch. I'm not going to mention the name of the new practice here because I don't want it to look like it's on their behalf but I will post a positive review of their services under their page. read more

I went in for a regular cleaning and they said everything looked great, but that one of my fillings was wearing down and should be redone. After they redid it, I started to feel severe pain on that tooth. I went in again to have Dr. Pavlovich look at it and he said he couldn't fix it for another two weeks. They then tried to charge me $100+ for him to just LOOK at the filling he messed up. They also tried to push back the date of my appointment even further, so I would be left in pain for many weeks. I've never had trouble with my teeth before and I've never had this awful of an experience with a dentist's office. This place operates like a bad mechanic. You go in for a tune up but then they tell you that you need thousands of dollars worth of repairs. I've heard from two friends that this has been their experience, as well. After reading some other reviews, I guess it doesn't matter if you have insurance or not--they will try to scam you for as much as they can. I would avoid this place, even for a simple cleaning. I know I'm never going back. read more

Dr. Pavlovich is a fantastic dentist, and his staff is great. I've been coming to his office for four and a half years, and the care has been excellent every visit. Recently we had a friend visiting from out of town with a dental emergency, and Dr. Pavlovich rearranged his schedule to get our friend the treatment he needed. Dr. Pav really goes above and beyond. I worked with Matt Pavlovich and Erin on three separate occasions, a cleaning, a DEEP cleaning and a filling. They are both extremely gentile, personable and talk you through the experience to keep you calm. My teeth are sensitive and both were very in tune with my needs for my deep cleaning and my filling. Matt also has a couple of great distraction techniques that work wonders. The fillings are great and my bite feels fully aligned. I would recommend this practice to any close friend or family member and have already made an appointment for my significant other! read more

Don't be fooled by the 5 star ratings. They offer prizes for clients filling out online reviews (prior to their appointments of course). This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. The dentist is fresh out of dental school, and the hygienist fumbled her way around in my mouth. The office staff doesn't return calls, and then they overcharged me for services. The quote I received for additional dental work was 3 times the going rate. I suppose they didn't expect me to price check them. Slimey business ethics. read more

I came to see Dr. Pavlovich for a very sensitive front tooth. I hadn't been to the dentist in a very long time and feared the worst. I came to him based on the glowing Yelp reviews. After spending less than 5 minutes looking at my tooth, he said I needed a root canal. It was scheduled for the following week. It turned out that we had an issue with my insurance and so I went to see a dentist that was covered under my plan. I'm so glad I did! This other dentist spent a lot more time examining my teeth and determined I did NOT need a root canal. After a deep cleaning and minor work on the tooth, I'm pain free! Dr. Pavlovich may be nice but his inexperience shows. read more

Just moved to West Seattle and it was time to find a dentist (I've been avoiding it for a few years - oops, a really bad habit of mine). Found Dr. Pavlovich through my insurance provider (Delta Dental) and I was impressed by how quickly I got a response after sending an email through their website- does anyone else feel like those emails go nowhere? Erin was my hygienist for my initial appointment and she's AWESOME. I knew I had a lot of work I had to do since I avoided the dentist for so long but she was so down to earth, understanding, and easy to talk to. Dr. Pavlovich was also really chill and easy going. Overall made my not-so-great appointment a really friendly one. I just wrapped up part one of a deep clean with Erin and again had a great experience. It was really nice to see her and she was really great at going over every step of the process. I also had to get a filling and I swear Dr. Pavlovich did it in under 5 minutes and I didn't feel a thing! Just a note, I'm not one that ever hated going to the dentist so this review might not be the best gauge if you're dealing with crippling fears. But this team is really awesome and friendly. Plus you're in West Seattle so you might as well make a day of it afterwards to enjoy the neighborhood- they get you in and out of there pretty quick. I initially started seeing Dr. Kreiger at this office. The transition to Dr. Pavlovich was seamless and easy. Dr. Pavlovich is great at what he does - knowledgeable, great bedside manner, fantastic work and conservative treatments. He doesn't automatically jump to the most expensive treatment but rather tries other options first. This review is from my experience 4 years ago, and after reading some other reviews, it seems that the integrity of this place is still in question. I rarely had cavities prior to coming here. At my first visit, I was told I needed a partial crown and another filling. When I called to schedule and follow up regarding how much it would cost, there was a lot of miscommunication about exactly what dental work needed to be done and the cost (a lot of back-and-forth phone calls, trying to get clarity). Eventually, I did end up going ahead and getting the partial crown, which seems to have been done well. However, I never got the other filling done (which I had been told was not a small filling). I switched dentists, and my new dentist has literally not done one filling for me over 4 years. Obviously, I question the integrity here. I'm really regretful that I didn't seek out a second opinion before getting the partial crown done. read more

I came here for a check up and the hygienist and dentist (I believe her name was Lauren) were very gentle and pleasant. However, they recommended a full perio scaling and root planing on my entire mouth. I take excellent care of my teeth and thought this sounded fishy so I got a second opinion from a dentist who's a family friend. She said the scaling was totally overboard and was shocked they would recommend it. She definitely felt they were just trying to make some extra money. read more

Dr. Pavlovich was GREAT! he has a very gentle touch, I'm usually one that is not a fan of going into the dentist office because all my past memories before Dr. P were painful! the first visit I had from him he pulled a Wisdom tooth for me, pain free and with out being put under anesthesia! needless to say I will be returning to see him for a crown next week where he will fit my tooth for it an put it in... all the same day! I called to move my appointment three days before it was scheduled. They were closed. It was a Tuesday, which they are normally open. So I called back the next day to reschedule and missed the 48 hour window by three hours. $50 bucks! They were completely inflexible and scolded me for not leaving a voicemail! read more

Dr Pavlovich is an AMAZING dentist. I started going to him after I moved from Chicago. And on my first visit I was very weary, thinking he would tell me I have a bunch of work that I need to get done, but he did not! He actually said everything looks good, we will just need to schedule you for your next cleaning. I was wowed!!! Heather was turbo nice and professional. She had looked up my insurance and the rate prior to me checking out, which made my visit a super quick one. After a while I had to get a crown re done, Dr Pavlovich recommended oral surgery which went great. He explained the need and all the steps that needed to be done from the get go, so I felt in good hands. More importantly, on one of my visits my car broken down, I told the Doctor about it and without hesitation he told me his staff would give me a ride home, and he recommended a mechanic. Heather, and Jasmin took care of me and gave me a ride to the pharmacist. This type of customer service in a business is absolutely unheard of. If you are looking for a Dentist in the West Seattle area this is it, you will not find better. read more
