We had Pratt Dimond (Dimond Built, now called Utah Built) build our custom home in Draper. The…read morewhole experience for us was a mess. In the middle of construction we found out he is not a licensed general contractor and that he had another job in Texas. We had construction issues from the beginning (and I was the one that was catching all the problems), foundation was poured wrong, framing on the front and back of house was wrong, sliding doors that did not work correctly, windows that would not open, walls that were not painted. We had about 1000 sq ft in the basement that had no supply vents (for heat or AC). We stopped construction on the house 3 different times and almost fired him, in hindsight we should have. The construction process was bad but the whole experience just got worse during the 12-month warranty period. Every item on our punch list was a battle with him until he finally stopped responding and so we had to hire an attorney. Based on our experience we could never recommend him or his company to anyone.

Walking the miles of trails at dusk feels incredibly serene. It really does feel like a refuge from the chaos of the Silicon Slopes. You get the easy commute to the tech hub, but at night, it's just you under the stars. Their entrance feature lights up at night to look like fireflies are everywhere, and their wheels park has a shade pavilion that actually has holes drilled into the roof that form the constellations. Conrad kept us consistently updated during the build and was always willing to walk the home with us and answer any questions. Closing was seamless, and Cody was genuinely excited for us--he literally ran over to hand us the keys the moment we arrived. After move-in, Bryce was incredibly helpful walking us through the warranty and handling any first-year items. I also really appreciated being able to talk directly with the president of Candlelight, David Vitek, about a concern--we had a productive conversation and he offered a thoughtful solution that's actually benefited the whole community. Aspyn, our super cute and fun activities director does an amazing job planning monthly activities for all ages (the date nights are a favorite). She knows my boys by name and things they love. They ask to go see her at work. While Firefly is a bit farther out - the quiet, the sense of community, and the friendships we've made make it more than worth it. I worked out the details of a large job that included replacing the trim boards and some trim work…read morearound the stairs but they ended up charging me an additional $500 above the agreed amount. They also damaged some of my walls while pulling the trim off that they said they would address but never did and didn't even come back to clean up after the work was "finished". They left the stairs taped together and left pencil markings all over the floor and stairs. The work itself was fine but was disappointed by the lack of attention to detail in both the bid and the cleanup.

I had a colored concrete patio poured in July 2017 by T&R. I arrived home after the patio had been…read morepoured and at first thought I had received a quality job. The concrete was level with a nice broom finish. Over the next several days as the concrete cured white spots formed on the surface, the color faded drastically and surface shrinkage cracks formed to the point it looks like alligator skin. I had Terry come out to check it out and he assured me when the slab fully cured all the defects would diappear. I tried contacting him again with no response. We now will consider seeing if we can paint, stain,or figure some other method to cover the slab. Alot of money spent on a patio that looks 20 years old. I do not recommend T&R CONCRETE

I had a patio poured by T&R Concrete two years ago. While I am happy with the way the project…read moreturned out, my husband had to take multiple days off of work to babysit the workers who did not know English. The project would have been screwed up had my husband not been there. Ted promised me that he would seal patios every two years for customers who did big projects with him and that it would be about $200. It's been two years since my project was done, so eleven weeks ago, I scheduled an appointment for them to come out and seal it. Robin made the appointment and said she would send over the bid. She never did. A week before my appointment, she called and said the workers were behind and made a new appointment for three weeks later. Again, she said she would send over the bid but never did. A week and a half before the appointment, she called asking if the job could be done the next day and asked me to send over the bid because she couldn't find it. I called her back saying I had never received it. She said she would send the bid later that night, but she didn't. I emailed Ted the next day asking him for the bid. I even calculated the area of the patio that would need to be sealed. He said he would email the bid later that afternoon but didn't. The next day, I sent an email saying I still hadn't received the bid. No response. Yesterday was supposed to be my second rescheduled appointment. No one showed up. The night before, I called and left a message asking if they were still going to come and to send over the bid. No response. This is terrible customer service. I am so disappointed. The sad thing is I recommended this company to a friend of mine. Plus, I was going to hire them to have a French drain redone and parts of my sidewalk fixed. That's definitely not going to happened after I have been treated so poorly these past 11 weeks. I guess I am not worth their time, so I will hire someone else to do all of that work.
