My first time at Kilwins was last week! I first noticed how it was very bright and clean and modern! Just lovely to walk in. I was greeted by a happy young lady and the other woman and man there were very welcoming, friendly and upbeat! The displays of candy, ice cream, fudge were perfect and so pretty. It is much nicer than Dan's as far as atmosphere by 200%! Ive gone to Dan's for 30 years and the men in the front window never smile or wave...they act like they are there against their will. And they dont really train the kids on customer service that they hire....they can whack off an uneven chunk of fudge for you, but they look like they are bored or afraid and dont provide the personal service. AND KILWINS GIVES YOU BUY 2 FUDGE, GET 1 FREE....VERY NICE!!!!!!!! Although Kilwins has a huge variety, present the goodies more pleasingly and are much more customer service oriented, the taste of the fudge is better at Dan's. read more

Absolutely a FIVE place. Went there twice with family and grandkids. Spectacular ice cream with probably 25+ flavors. Kids had taffy apples coated with a thick layer of Carmel and chocolate. Apples came sliced, actually quartered, and in a nice box container. Fudge samples were delicious. I tried the maple walnut. Prices were reasonable and service was fast and friendly. This is a can't miss place. And, you will return a second time just like we did. read more

Would rather say -10 the worst people ever I witnessed them kicking out a disabled veteran because of a service dog. Bad people should not work in service that's why the prices are so high probably because they get sued a lot maybe. read more

Talk about a great place! First off I was hit by the delicious smell of fresh waffle cones as I walked in the door....so yummy! The staff are friendly and helpful. We bought different types of fudge and chocolates all so wonderful and my daughter got a cone. I snuck a lick (mom tax) and it was great, regret not getting one myself. The store has recently come under new ownership and the hours changed. We showed up, later than the new hours and the manager, Brian came out and explained the situation. He couldn't have been nicer and took all of our orders and brought us out ice cream. Brian was very nice and patient with us. Fudge-licious! This is the best place in town for fudge! I love this store: Friendly staff, fantastic products, and free samples. The fudge is sweet, creamy, and luscious, just as fudge should be. Ice cream was delicious. People were super friendly. The 2 stars is simply because the cost for family of 4 was $28 for 2 milkshakes, 1 small scoop sundae and 1 scoop cone was not a lot of ice cream. It was a special treat but I thought a bit overpriced. read more

We've gone to Kilwins for ice cream with our family. The cost is a little high. The ice cream is good but nothing great. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. They have bathrooms in the store but don't allow paying customers to use them. Even though there are public restrooms behind the building across the parking lot, it feels very disrespectful as a customer to have to leave the store to use the restroom. read more

This new comer to downtown Minocqua has good fudge & ice cream. However, the problem I have is that there's no bathroom for the patrons which I think is absurd. I've been her before and used he bathroom. WTH, me and my family can't even wash my hands before I eat?!?! Stay healthy, go to Island City or Dans instead, skip Kilwins. read more

The employees are nice, but the chocolate is so sweet it doesn't have any flavor. And the chocolate covered candied orange peel is just orange gummy candy; that was really disappointing. read more

Although the products were great here as well, they were almost double the price of the fudge shop right down the street and tasted just the same. The plus side to this shop is there's far less business in here so it's a less crowded alternative. read more
