Kilwins is one of my go-to spots for ice cream and have locations just about everywhere. They have a large assortment of flavors, along with plenty of cone and cup size options to choose from, so there's something for everyone. I usually stick with my favorite, mint chocolate chip in a sugar cone, and it never disappoints. Their scoops are generous, so one is more than enough for me! One of the best parts of visiting is the smell when you walk in. They're often making fresh candy, chocolates, and waffle cones, which makes the whole experience even better. Beyond ice cream, they also offer treats like candy apples, fudge and chocolate candy, decorative Rice Krispie treats (some dipped in chocolate and nuts), and specialty items like their Dubai chocolate variations. I visited the Kilwins on Atlantic after dinner. I was excited to try their chocolate, but I had a mixed experience. The store was busy, and the chocolates and fudge looked amazing. However, we felt rushed by the staff, especially the girl behind the counter helping us pack our choices. We would select a flavor and she was ready to pack it and be done. We had to rush to select a few more items of fudge and a peanut butter cup. We definitely wanted to explore more treats, but the staff member seemed focused on hurrying us through checkout. This made us feel unwelcome and cut short on what could have been a more enjoyable experience. On a positive note, they have a wide selection of fudge and different types of chocolates. They also offer ice cream in the back, where I noticed people enjoying some amazing-looking milkshakes. It's clear they have a lot to offer if you have the time to explore. Came on a Friday night and wasn't busy! The lady who served us was so wonderful! We were able to sample some fudge, got some chocolate samples, and sampled ice cream. I got a waffle cone with marsh-mallow s'more, this is the best flavor they have in my opinion! It's marshmallow flavored ice-cream with marshmallow, chocolate fudge, and chocolate covered graham crackers throughout. 6/5 stars. Great dessert place located on the Atlantic Ave! I ordered the chocolate malt milkshake and it's quite frankly the best milkshake I have ever had! Very very good. Never disappoints! Ice cream and the yogurt (I had greek style yogurt) is delicious. Employees are friendly. You can have tastes of the ice creams before you order your own. Lots of other type of sweets here too i.e. chocolate. They did have samples of chocolates as well. They do have specialty cones as well-fresh waffle cones are great but this time I opted for a kiddie cup because I only wanted a very small amount. Why? They have this counter to the right side as you walk in. That is filled with hypnotic, mesmerizing, delicious, eye pleasing baking goods. I specially like the fresh bake taste and cruch of the waffle it comes in. It's vanilla icecream with chocolate syrup, walnuts wipcream and a cherry on top. The mixture works really well together. This is the cutest little chocolate/ice cream shop! It definitely hit the spot after a nice evening walk. This entire area is adorable and has plenty of ice cream options but Kilwins lived up to its reviews. I got the chocolate peanut icecream and it was delicious. My whole party (of 5) was highly satisfied. Will come back again when I'm back in West Palm. I was up in Del Ray for the day and couldn't pass up trying their highly rated ice cream. The shop is located on a busy strip with lots of restaurants and foot traffic - perfect for date night. The ice cream shop is well decorated and features more than just ice cream. Lots of other confections, chocolates, cookies, etc. Like most ice cream parlours you can try before you buy, so we did. I asked what the most popular flavour was and the girl serving us said toasted coconut. Like many others I never go for the coconut option but when we tried it... it was clearly a winner. A light vanilla coconut base with small candied toasted coconut bits throughout. So good and a must try. I got 1 scoop, half mint chip and half toasted coconut. My partner got a waffle bowl with a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of toasted coconut. This came up to almost $15 if I remember correctly which is kind of insane for 2 ice creams. I also got the feeling that the girl helping us/advising us was expecting a tip? She was so overly friendly and kind which I was pleasantly surprised with. But when it came time to pay and she pointed out the tip portion I was very much taken a back. We didn't "dine in" or ask for out of this worth requests or service. I would give this place way less than 1 star after tonight! I have been coming here for over 4 years and never ever have i been so taken aback. After purchasing 3 ice creams and standing outside i was asked to come back inside and prove my payment. Which i happily did, embarrassed to say that i tipped . A long line greeted us along Atlantic Ave on a Friday night in front of Kilwin's. The inside reminds me of an old candy shop and of course the line inside brings you around to all of the freezers with their different flavors. I'm always a sucker for PB and choc ice cream so I rolled with that. Their ice cream def has more milk fat because it was thick and creamier than your typical store bought variety. The balance of PB and chocolate leaned slightly towards Peanut Butter which is the way to go in my opinion! We ate ours outside, which with limited seating meant standing on the sidewalk, while patrons waiting in line salivated at our score :). Nothing like a hot day ended with ice cream. The fudge wasn't my favorite. I preferred the plain chocolate to the sea salt caramel and chocolate peanut butter. My issue at this location wasn't the treats. It was the service. When we inquired about gluten-free options, our server couldn't be bothered. Research afterwards revealed that while they don't have a specific GF menu, Kilwin's is proud to offer a vast variety of GF options. Sure, it was crowded at the time. However, we waited our turn in line like everyone else and didn't appreciate the brush-off. She simply told us that they didn't offer that. As a regular customer of Kilwins in Downtown Delray for many years, what has to stand out for me is their consistency, which is what keeps me coming back for over 20 years now. I first came here as a visitor to the area and for the past seven years, as a resident of the Delray Beach area. As per usual, it is the intoxicating aroma of fudge, caramel, chocolate, candies, and waffle cones being pressed as you stroll Downtown Delray's Atlantic Avenue that draw you in like cheese to a mouse! Inside, the atmosphere is inviting, with prep stations for the items mentioned above, an ice cream counter that takes up the left side and back of the store, and shelves of chocolates on the right. In addition, I also find that the store is spotless and has an old-school feel. My favorite item here would have to be their ice cream, which is homemade and superb in quality. While it may be plain, their vanilla ice cream is sweet and creamy. I also enjoy their chocolate ice cream, which is creamy, sweet, and a little bold. Their Mackinac Island Fudge Ice Cream is also fantastic, as it has a base of creamy and mild vanilla ice cream enrobed with velvety fudge. I also love their sweet and creamy strawberry ice cream, which even has many chunks of strawberries as well as their tart Traverse City Cherry, which has cherry pieces that add to the freshness of the ice cream. I also love their Toasted Coconut, which is fruity and refreshing and specked with flakes of toasted coconut, making for a decidedly tropical treat! Another recent favorite of mine would have to be Espresso Chip, with a bold and slightly sweet coffee ice cream base along with bold chocolate chips. As seems to have been the case, it is tough for me to decide on a favorite flavor here as I find them all to be outstanding! In addition, I usually get a Small cup of ice cream, which is technically one scoop but in reality, is more like two since scoops here are on the generous side and fill me up with ease. As far as pricing, I paid about $7 in change, which is comparable to the competition on the Avenue like Sloan's (can't eat their ice cream due to an egg allergy and most, if not all their flavors have eggs), Haagen-Dazs, and more but the top notch quality and very generous portions make it an excellent value! I also enjoy the fudge and chocolate sold here, which are handmade and beyond compare! If the sweet treats are not enough, my other favorite aspect of Kilwins in Delray would have to be their customer service, which is fantastic, as everyone here makes me, my Mother, and any family and friends we take here feel like old friends, as opposed to just another guest. As of late, I have been assisted by the Owners, Marybeth and Ben (they took over from the original Owners Allison and Bill back at the end of 2021 and have done an excellent job keeping everything super consistent), Manager Laurie, Alyssa, Gabby, Meghan, Ren, Zach, Autumn, and many more employees who I have not named thanks to their kindness, engaging personalities, and efficiency. Besides the sweet treats, atmosphere, and top notch service, another small bonus is that a lot of time, they play 70s Rock, which I appreciate as I love Classic Rock! All in all, the sensational sweet treats, inviting atmosphere, and fantastic customer service have kept me loyal to Kilwins for all of these years and I always love coming here! UPDATE: Upon walking in, your eyes will be everywhere. And there are so many choices! What to order? Will it be a Chocolate Waffle Cone? Some Fudge? The possibilities are endless. So not only is everything here utterly yummy, but the place is so pretty inside. You almost do not want to eat anything because it is such a visual treat. The staff is always busy and you will hear the fudge and ice cream being made. It's so much fun! I have been coming here for Ice Cream for years. In addition to the great taste the other draw is the atmosphere. And It's on Atlantic Avenue and is a great place to just sit and watch the world go by while eating one of the best Waffle Cones you will ever have. Highly recommended. Kilwin's is not exactly gourmet chocolate (and I don't think they represent themselves as such) but it's more of a place that caters to tourists wanting ice cream or grabbing some chocolate after dinner. I purchased an assortment of chocolate and not one item would be in the good category and even my Chocolate Apple was just okay. I don't think the chocolate is terrible but it's far from excellent or even good and I didn't find it much better than convenient store boxed chocolate. The employees were nice. read more

If you are looking for ice cream this place is a no brainer. Immediately walking in to the store you are hit with the lovely aroma of fresh waffle cones being made. I honestly could just eat the cone without the ice cream they are that good. The cones are the perfect consistency, not too thick or difficult to eat.
