Very similar to, but a step down from Chipotle/Quedoba/Rubio's type places in terms of freshness and quality. I don't like that you can't see the salsas they put on stuff because they are kept behind a barrier, mysterious. Still, it's a cheap way to get super full on the North Shore which is hard to do. My family and I usually stop here in north shore before heading home. Why? Because it's cheap (er) and we like burritos. Not much seating available, especially if you have 4 or More people. The burritos are aight. The price is ehhhh ok. I get it, it's in Hawaii so expensive. About the same price as chipotle, but about 2/3 the quality. If the staff was friendly I would give it 4 stars. The workers are usually young kids that look at you like you're dumb. 1 cookie is a dollar? Really? Subway gives you 2 cookies for a dollar and they are twice your size. I heard a lot of rave about this place. I love the energy of the workers, but elsewise I'm trying to understand how this place is in business. I have made better fish taco at home with frozen fish sticks in the air fryer. So needless to say I was disappointed at the blandness. Also flour tortillas are a big no no in the fish taco world. This place plays it safe and really smart with a small menu, it really comes down to eating a frozen fish fillet, with a bland cabbage slaw, with no lemon or lime, bagged preshredded cheese, noticeably coated in potato flour like krafts cheese, in a sad not even warmed up mission tortilla. It just seems to be minimal effort here. I hated writing this review, but I can't help but think being in a tourist location that there should be a more talented effort in there with food. Rule of thumb Im learning in Haleiwa is eat at the food trucks or your paying way too much for overpriced minimalist bland food. Avoid unless you're just desperate for a taco. Ordered the super nachos for $8 - here's what it is: store bought tortilla chips with store bought shredded cheese, then they add the meat you choose. Then (I kid you not) they microwave it! Seriously, I asked him and he said we pop it in the microwave. I ordered the fish tacos and will not being going back. The quality of the ingredients is lacking. The cheese and salsa seem very cheap and didn't taste the greatest. They also didn't heat up the soft shell tortilla shell. It was right out of the package and kind of stiff/ hard. read more

Met up with some friends here after a surf session on the North Shore. Ended up here because one friend mixed this place up with Cholos, hahaha. What the heck, it was worth a shot. I ordered the shortboard burrito with refried beans and spicy kalua pig and I have to say, I was quite pleasantly surprised because I wasn't expecting very much. I haven't tried the other meats (chicken and ground beef) but we liked the kalua pig shortboard burrito so much that we went again the next day after another session. The kalua pig was flavorful and juicy. I didn't notice very much fat mixed in the cuts and it was pretty damn good. When you don't expect very much and it tastes pretty decent, well that's a good thing! The great thing about this place is that the prices are very reasonable. The shortboard was $5.25 and pretty filling, probably one of the cheaper eats that I have found on the north shore. This will probably end up being my go-to spot when I'm in Haleiwa for a decent and cheap meal. read more

Burritos, tacos and taco salads. The menu is simple and really has 5-6 things with slight variations. The food is good and the place is clean with ample inside seating. The food is good and fresh. The portions are large, especially the burritos. A burrito will definitely fill you up. Negative: the prices are not so cheap but can be expected in touristy Haleiwa. The fish in the tacos are bland and the the salsa also has no flavor. The worst part is the short Hispanic guy that makes the tacos. Very rude and doesn't even ask what you want. Last time I'll order here my burritos was so sloppy, no meet, not even filled, skinny, missing some ingredients or not enough. I have eaten here about four times. The first time I had their lunch plate with the two tacos and I thought it was alright but the last two times I had their barnyard meal and it is the best I've ever had! It has EVERYTHING!! I tried it as a burrito first and a nacho the last time I went and they are both so yummy! It's definitely something that can be shared with at least one other person. I think I like the burrito the best! They also extended the interior so there's more room to sit and enjoy your meal with friends and family! They have a rewards program too so you can earn free stuff if you swing by there regularly. I will definitely be a regular when I visit the north shore! read more

We had high hopes for Killer tacos. The prices are super reasonable for the island and the menu was similar to other taco trucks in the area (tacos/burritos and quesadillas). We ordered tacos, taco salad, super nachos and a quesadilla for the kids. The local pork us spicy but and seasoned well but the beef was bland and the chicken was over seasoned with cumin and you couldn't taste much else. They prepped our nachos and then put them in a microwave. Taco salad was mostly lettuce and the, "taco bowl," is just a fried flour tortilla. The kids loved the cheese quesadilla, but that's pretty hard to mess up. Next time we will just head further into Haleiwa for spicy shrimp/Thai or tacos from one of the food trucks. read more

A great place for an affordable (less than $10) yummy meal! I'd often get their lunch special (2 tacos + chips + drink) and pack it to the beach for an awesome picnic. We ordered a taco salad with ground beef and a burrito with kalua pig. For $6.99, the taco salad was super small and tasted like old, gross oil. At $5-something, the burrito was a better deal, especially since the North Shore is pretty limited on affordable food; however, it was pretty blah. We topped the burrito and taco salad with salsa, which helped a little to combat the blandness, but not by much. The counter person was really unfriendly. If you find yourself on the North Shore bordering on hangry and only have a few dollars, stop here and pick up a burrito with kalua pig. Stick with the kalua pig. Been eating here over 15 times this year and at least 5 times that I have ordered the burrtios, the rice has been undercooked which totally ruins the perfect bites on the pulled pork long or short board burritos!!
