Like the other Food Truck Invasions there was a nice selection of trucks plus a bar. The best deals of the night were from La Nostra Pizza, which had 2 slices and a coke for $6, and Bea's Heavenly Wings, which had a chicken on a stick for $4. The best food I had was the chicken on a stick, with a slightly spicy BBQ sauce, and the mojo chicken tacos from Curbside Gourmet. The event was a little crowded but that was probably because it was the first night. When we go to any Food Truck Invasion we always bring a couple of folding camp chairs and a bag with some waters and cokes, napkins, paper plates, and gum or mints. Having a place to sit and eat is always a plus. If you get the chance you should really give this or any of the food truck invasions a try.

Luckily, we happened upon the Cuban Corner on our search for real food. Between the three of us, we enjoyed a platter of delicious, juicy, flavorful chicken with rice and beans and sweet soft ripe plantains; a sandwich with the perfect piece of pork in between two slices of Cuban bread; and a cheese and sweet plantain pizza. We also shared a batido de mamey (mamey shake). The person at the counter was super helpful, responding to our questions in English and Spanish, and told us what was good and what was great. Because it was a perfectly sunny and breezy day, we decided to sit down for a bit under the tent to enjoy our meal instead of taking it to go in the car - this was a great choice. The food was so filling with PLENTY of leftovers, and although we've experienced plenty of great Cuban food in South Florida, this humble food truck / tent did not disappoint.
