And that's when the good ends. 1st they Sold me a delta faucet with missing pieces, that I only found out when installing, so with my plumber on the clock, I had to drive from my Dallas home in the middle of my project, to their store Salem, then when Saffron didn't have the parts, I had go across town to get from another store. Not a big deal. When first buying the faucet, I mentioned I had other plumbing projects to do, they said they would have someone contact me to give a bid. Later Brent Hunt from Saffron called, set a time, we met. Spent an hour going over my property, describing what I needed, and I drew him maps as the project involved 3 wells on 6 acres. He got back to me later with a bid that said it included all labor and materials for what we talked about, but it wasn't itemized or detailed. (My mistake not requesting a break down) but it did say all labor and materials. I agreed to the bid, we set a date. Days before the start date, Brent texts asking if I wanted a hydrant in a different location than I showed him. I said no, told him to refer to the map we gave him. He then said that he may have under estimated the pipe needed and there may be "extra" costs. But the bid said "all labor and materials" included. The workers showed up on the start day, nice young men, and started telling me what their plan was for the day. 1st thing was to clean my 2000 gallon water tank, and then they would cut out my concrete pad. I said that Brent told me they would horizontal drill under the pad, as I didn't want it cut up, and they said that's not what they do. I told them to hold off on that and I would call Brent. I said they could start the cleaning and maybe work on separating the two water sources that both feed that tank, they said they couldn't do that either, as it would require a new pump and pressure tank. I said wait on that I'll call Brent. I went inside my home to call Brent, who immediately said I was wrong, that we didn't talk about horizontal drilling, and that's why he wanted to put my hydrant in a different spot?!? The out and out lies, the completely unprofessional bid, the omission of any details so he could add charges later! I said never mind the work. Tell your crew to leave. I then went to the crew, told them what had transpired and that we wouldn't be using their services, and they said they had already added the cleaner to my water. I asked how long and what charges I would get for the tank cleaning, they said 2 hours plus the cleaner. I agreed and went inside. Brent called them, told them to leave then, with the cleaner still in my water supply, effectively preventing us from using our water. This isn't ok. No one should be held hostage by poorly written bids that imply a scope of work that the service provider changed based on their wants. I will be investigating legal options. At the very least, I hope this helps other avoid a company that don't care about their clients. Maybe that's why they recently had to change their CCB number.

If you are a contractor or Pro customer, I would strongly recommend avoiding the Lowe's on Turner…read moreRoad in Salem, Oregon. My husband has been working on a project in Salem for the past four months and has been shopping at this location regularly since May. Unfortunately, his experience with the Pro Desk has been consistently terrible. On multiple occasions, he has stood at the Pro Desk waiting for assistance while employees ignored or dismissed him. After the first several incidents, he attempted to bring his concerns to store management, only to be dismissed there as well. Eventually, the situation became bad enough that I filed a complaint with Lowe's corporate. That resulted in a call from an in-store manager, but unfortunately nothing changed. Today was the final straw. My husband approached the Pro Desk because he needed assistance with a special-order item for the project. The Pro working behind the computer never looked up or made eye contact, but told him he would be right with him. My husband waited patiently for several minutes. When the employee finally acknowledged him, he asked what he wanted. My husband said he wanted to "cash out," meaning he was ready to check out. The employee responded that he didn't accept cash and pointed him toward the regular registers. My husband clarified that he wasn't paying with cash and explained that he was a Pro customer and needed assistance from the Pro Desk. Instead of helping him, the employee again directed him elsewhere and then told him he would help the other customers waiting before helping my husband. What exactly is the purpose of a Pro Desk if contractors cannot get assistance from it? Contractors are trying to keep jobs moving. We aren't coming to the Pro Desk because we expect special treatment--we use it because Lowe's specifically provides and markets Pro services to support professionals who are purchasing materials, placing special orders, managing jobs, and trying to get back to work. After months of the same treatment and multiple unsuccessful attempts to address it with management, my husband finally had enough today, left his items and went to Home Depot instead. Following the incident, my husband spoke directly with Luis Lopez, who identified himself as the Pro Desk Manager. He explained what had happened and the ongoing issues he has experienced with the Pro Desk since May. Unfortunately, he found that conversation just as dismissive as our previous attempts to bring these concerns to management. After four months of repeated problems, being dismissed yet again by the person responsible for managing the Pro Desk was incredibly disappointing. We have both commercial and personal credit accounts with Lowe's and have had wonderful experiences at other Lowe's locations--particularly the McMinnville store. This review is not about Lowe's as a whole. It is specifically about the repeated lack of customer service and management response at the Turner Road location in Salem. Four months of the same problem is not a bad day or an isolated interaction. It is a pattern. We will not be shopping at this location again.

Shout out to ANGELA!!! Also to the amazing paint…read moredepartment. I ordered 3 gallons of paint and chose a color from the Home Depot app, but when I got the paint home and started to apply it on a wall.....well, it was definitely NOT the color I wanted. (*Never buy paint from a color app. Colors are not the same.) I went back to Home Depot, hoping they could change the shade or something since there are no refunds for tinted paint. Angela was amazing. She was super kind and helped me find the right shade I was originally looking for. Angela even talked to the manager, and I was able to get a refund for the all the cans that had the wrong shade of paint. Larry was awesome, too. Both Angela and Larry worked together to mix the right shade of paint I needed.. If it weren't for Angela and Larry, I would be lost in colorland, wishing I could just get the right shade of blue/green I needed. Thanks again for all your help!!!

Terrible Customer Service at Home Depot on Cherry Avenue off Portland Road!…read more If I could give this location a negative rating for customer service, I absolutely would! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by an employee who came across as grumpy and unwelcoming. I was looking at a refrigerator I was interested in purchasing and wasn't even aware that he was standing behind me. His attitude immediately made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked another staff member for help in the aisle, he responded by saying, "That's not my job. It's actually someone else's job, but I'll help you anyway." First of all, I am a customer asking for assistance. I don't expect every employee to know everything or handle every department, but I do expect basic courtesy and professionalism. If helping me wasn't part of his responsibility, he could have simply directed me to the right person instead of making me feel like I had done something wrong by asking for help. Customer service is about how you treat people. There is a huge difference between explaining that something isn't your responsibility and making a customer feel like a burden. I came to Home Depot to shop for a refrigerator, not to deal with an employee's bad attitude. This experience left a terrible first impression, and management really needs to address how customers are being treated at this location. Customers deserve respect, courtesy, and a willingness to help, not attitude when they ask a simple question.
