I had a pricing issue at checkout, but the overly attractive cashier read and resolved the issue quickly, showing her big brain and the high caliber or personnel I met on my first ever visit to a store that rhymed the first word of its name with another word, and then tried to live up to that. Fake old stuff lobby is the store I visited today, but the woman in the art dept, that spent 30 minutes sold me, this is a great store! I doubled the size of my shiny white background because they have the bigest board in salem!

I had to use my flashlight to see what I was looking at without walking to the walkway multiple times. There are very few yarn stores in Salem anymore so to not even be able to shop properly is extremely frustrating.

It's nice to see that Salem has something unique and you don't have to drive to Portland to find it. The service dogs get into barking matches with other dogs and it's a disturbance to everyone. Not to mention the pee and poop that occurs. I didn't see any support from management when it came to one lady who was upset with a cashier who was hard of hearing. This woman berated the cashier and got so upset over a simple misunderstanding. Disgusting behavior! The overall selection of items is fun to look at, but a lot of items are clearly overpriced and can be found at other stores for less. I'm not paying 3 or more for a dollar tree item. The cashiers are always nice and helpful, but the management needs to support them more, especially when customers are rude. As a customer, I believe we're not always right, especially when one is acting up with an employee. Employees deserve respect and safety, without them a business can suffer and flounder.

Yes, real samurai swords. And so many knives; it's practically a convention of blades. :: A produce section. But if you think about it, would you EVER want to start cleaning your home half way then try and remember what you did versus what you did not do? So Jackie came to the house to assess the first initial deep clean, discuss my needs, my concerns, answer my questions. I don't like strangers in my home, I don't like socializing in public. THIS IS MY SANCTUARY. And truth be told I'm a stage 5 klinger. When I found this service on Yelp, they were one of two narrowed down, and quite frankly I just liked what they had to say, so they got the bid, pure and simple. AND when I asked her about her staff [because I was worried about turnover in todays economy and the service industry] she was a little taken aback. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for. It has been months now, and today was my cleaning day. You will not know they are there. You will not know they are gone. I am still in awe, I am STILL as grateful as ever and they will have a lifelong client as long as they are in business. This is a 100% factual based review. I have no skin in this game, I do not know them, but I will tell you this. THEY ARE A PHENOMENAL BUSINESS MODEL. And you would be foolish not to try to secure their services.

Pfeifer replaced my composite roof with a standing seam metal roof this winter. My experience was…read moreessentially perfect, or as perfect as one of the most stressful home purchases you'll make can be. I got four bids from local companies and while Pfeifer was not the cheapest, they had the best combination of knowledge, experience, and price out of the four. Sam's advice about the best underlayment and important details of the panel structure and flashing made Pfeifer stand out from the pack. Pfeifer scheduled the removal of my composite roof for the next time that the weather cleared. Hector and his crew were out here early every day, and they worked hard. They worked almost every day for about a week including coming in on the weekend when the weather allowed. Once the underlayment was on they waited about a week for the panels to get produced and delivered and then Hector's team was back out at my house daily for about two more weeks installing the roof. Higher level supervisors from the company like Christian, Martin and others were regularly in touch and visited several times to make sure that the quality of the installation was up to their standards. Since I don't really know much about roofs there were a couple times when I was worried about the way several details looked. Hector was consistently patient with my questions and every single time his explanation for how he was installing the panels matched or exceeded the manufacturer recommendations I found online. My roof is significantly more complicated than I appreciated at the start of the project, but by the end I was confident that each valley, pitch change, and vent was expertly flashed and sealed. There was a small amount of additional work that needed to be done around some siding on the house, and the quality and the cost of that work were both fair. Metal roofs are a craft, and the details matter for the roof's long-term performance. Once the roof installation was done I asked an expert roofer I know to come out and provide a consultation for me about the quality of Pfeifer's work. He doesn't think very highly of roofers in general, but he was quite literally floored by the multiple signals of extremely high quality work he saw on my roof. Hector and his crew are excellent at what they do, and the whole team at Pfeifer are professional. There is a reason that they have so few CCB complaints for such a long tenure as a company: you can trust Pfeifer to install your metal roof the right way.
