Our families experience with this company was probably the worst customer service we've had with a home project. We were warned by two contractors not to use them, but we didn't realize LL Flooring was Lumber Liquidators until we had already made out purchase. Our initial interaction with Andrew at the Salem store was pretty good and we found flooring that we liked that cost much less than other companies in Salem. We scheduled an appointment to get our home measured and returned the next week to purchase and schedule an installation. We were helped by the store manager, Matt. We were told we'd have the installation done before the end of August and heard Matt talk to their installer on the phone and he confirmed we were on the schedule for August 26th. When August 26th arrived, the company they contract their installations with did not have us on their schedule and we had to wait another two weeks to get someone out. The installation was a disaster, but that is a review for the other company. Matt also sold us probably $500 of extra flooring that we didn't need and ordered wrong transition strips for the whole project. If you are a contractor and are looking to install cheap flooring yourself, this might be a place for you. For a homeowner looking for new flooring to be installed, I would highly caution you to stay away. read more

Hands down best floors, best price! I shopped around before choosing Lumber Liquidators for 2 reasons: 1) Their product was superior! The Engineered Vinyl Plank we chose, CoreLuxe Old Dominion Walnut, is double the thickness of local competitors and a fraction of the price. In fact, when I took it in to a competitor to see what they could offer me in that price range, they admired the product and said they didn't have anything comparable without paying far more! 2) Customer Service: In addition to the initial savings, Lumber Liquidators worked to get me an even better price since we were having them install such a large area. They knew me and my order when I called and when part of my order was delayed, they drove it out to my house at no additional cost. We are thrilled with our floors! Any body else having problems with Lumber Liquidators at the Salem, Oregon store with placing or picking up orders?? We visited Lumber Liquidators in Salem, Oregon for the first time to buy wood floor. We found some real nice good quality wood floor at a good price, we only had the measurements for the one bedroom we are remolding but decided to also do the living room but we didn't have the measurements so we placed an order and a deposit to secure the sale price and we were to return with the living room measurements and pick up the floor. this was on Sunday 8/18/19. We setup an appt. with our contractor for Wed. 8/21/19 and on the same day we went to pick up the wood floor from Lumber Liquidators and where told their computer system was done at all their stores in OR, WA and Canada and not allowed to pick up the order or change/increase the order until their system was up. So we reschedule the contractor for Friday 8/23/19. I called Lumber Liquidators on Thursday 8/22/19 and was told the computer system was still not working. I called again today 8/23/19, and was told their computer system was sill not working, and can place orders in cash only, no DB or CR cards at this time. At the time we placed the order we also applied for one of their credit cards and approved and now we are told if you use a CR or DB card they will place the order but you can not take the material until their system is working and they don't know when this going to happen. I asked for their management phone number, and was told I could call headquarters but they were not sure if their telephone lines were working?? I called and no answer. Its just frustrating we had to cancel the contractor twice, the carpet is already removed, the painting done and we are scheduled to leave for vacation on Friday 8/30/19 and were hoping to have this project completed before leaving but does not seem likely. read more

We were replacing all the flooring in our 2600 Sq Ft home. We took forever to be ready to move forward, It was a big project, pull carpet, tile, particle board, lay new plywood. We looked at a lot of floors in a lot of stores, one day we walked into LL, We saw the Bellawood Cumaru, and knew that was the floor for us. Matt, (who I later learned was the store manager) helped us. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, he was excellent!. He gave us a decent price, and explained how long it would take for all the products to come in, and the process once they did. When the people who came to take measurements came they also took the information needed for installation, in case we wanted to use the LL contractor for installation. We choose to do the prep work ourselves (I will never do that again) and got behind, when the wood came in and we weren't ready, they were willing to hold on to the wood for over a month. When we were ready 1 guy hauled over 60 cases of wood up and down stairs in less than a couple of hours, he was amazing. We decided to use the LL installation contractor, they did an amazing and beautiful job. They worked so hard for 5 straight days. Our floors are beautiful, and we have been thrilled with LL during the entire process! read more

They have a great selection and the staff is incredible. Knowledgeable and quick thinking. Always listen when they make recommendations. They're not just trying to upsell you. My husband and I went in to talk to someone about getting floors installed. We walked in and there was only one person working. They were helping another customer, we walked around the tiny showroom for ten minutes, and after not even being acknowledged, no "hello", smile, "I'll be with you shortly", we left. Tried again a couple weeks later. This time two salesmen working. Same experience. Both were helping people and neither either even acknowledged me. Being busy with another customer is completely understandable. Not even acknowledging me is not acceptable. read more

Very frustrating experience working with Lumber Liquidators. We Installed cork flooring as per manufacturer instructions , and followed instructions for sealing the floor as per recommended Lumber Liquidators installation instructions for "Lisbon cork floating floors" on THEIR WEBSITE.. Please see link https://www.lumberliquidators.com/assets/images/landing_pages_promos/2-Lisbon%20Cork%20Click%20Installation%20Instructions.pdf Sealed the floor per Lumber Liquidators installation instructions which I later found out, voids the 50 year manufacturer warranty. I had even called the store to ask if they had the sealant they instructed us to use for these cork floors was being sold in the store, and they said nothing about these floors already having a seal and not needing a sealant. My floors are now peeling and ruined. I tried contacting them numerous times just to be ignored. The customer care department was very rude and not helpful. These directions were on THEIR WEBSITE! I guess it's time for me to post a review in every possible social media platform. DO NOT USE the recommended Lumber liquidators installations instructions for sealant on LISBON MEDINA CORK FLOORS! You will no longer have a 50 year warranty that you paid for and Lumber Liquidators will not have ANY help or solution for you. read more

I hope people will read reviews before buying flooring at LL. Even though many people have given this location good reviews I simply cannot.Rickey St. is always short staffed and you need patience to buy there. It is also small so often times ( weekends especially) it is crowded and hard to see all products.It is crowded because store management doesn't seem to understand that weekends are when MANY couples can get together to shop. I purchased flooring 7/25 and to have it installed I had to pay for that upfront. I THOUGHT I had chosen flooring that was on sale according to tag but at checkout I was told it was not on sale and someone had put sample in wrong place. If they had adequate staff that would have been noticed. I was told product would be there in 1-2 weeks and it took I month BUT didn't seem to matter because when I called to schedule installation I was told my date was Oct.8th. So my installation money $650. is at the use of a company called SW Contractors use until then ! They had sent out rep to do measurements named Dave who seemed to "forget" to tell me they were having trouble getting installers in this area so now I wait. No way to move ahead with project without flooring so now I have plumbers and carpenters on hold . Very frustrating experience. read more

My wife and I are redoing the floor in several rooms and have decided on hard wood. I have seen many commercials for these guys but did not know they were in salem. So I decided to stop by. We just left the store after standing there for 10 minutes There was no one in the place who worked there. We saw some nice samples but nobody to help us . Seriously. We could of stolen all the tools on the wall if we wanted to. Needless to say I am writing this review while sitting down and purchasing my new flooring from lowes just down the road I swear if I owned the store id be pisses that an employee went AWOL on a Sunday when people are out shopping read more

Great place to go for all things flooring! We started researching prices and found LL on the web. The staff at this store is fantastic! Shaun is knowledgeable, helpful and patient - we stopped in several times before we made our decision and they were more than willing to answer our questions. I found a sample that I liked and it wasn't in stock but they looked on the computer and it was in another locale in California. They made a few phone calls and arranged to have it direct shipped to me. I highly recommend this store. read more

I have not had experience purchasing flooring from them, but they did not hesitate to go above and beyond to help me when I found myself with a broken down car, no phone #'s available to call and only a few minutes left on my cell phone. I went in to Lumber Liquidators to see if they had a phone book so I could call my auto mechanic. They did not have a phone book but Chris did not hesitate to Google the phone # for me. I was thankful as I waited for him to write the # down for me. Instead of giving me the #, he dialed the # and handed me the store phone. After that phone call, I was going to call AAA from my cell phone with the few minutes I had left. He offered their phone again. I am thankful he did as the call was longer than I expected and my call would have been cut off if I used my phone. Chris made sure I was ok and offered for me to come back in to the store if I needed anything else. I am thankful for people like Chris. He helped me even though I was not there to spend money. By the way, the products I saw while I was there walking around making my phone calls looked really nice. You should check it out if you are looking for flooring. Thank You Chris.
