Great place to find all of this stuff I'm looking to complete my projects with. They have a great variety.

This 2 star review considers previous visits where I had positive experiences. Otherwise, a 1 star review is in order. Normally, I have a lot of patience. Not this evening. I'm 7 people deep in a line, which is the only line taking money. Oddly enough, they had 2 people working returns. Lovely. And another guy just standing there talking to 2 people, whom I assume might be customers (who didn't appear to be buying anything). After 5 minutes, I set my one single item down on the closest shelf and walked out. If they are lucky, I'll be back another day to purchase that item. If not, there are 2 other art stores in town who will be happy to accept my money. read more

Knowing what this store is, I don't know why I thought I would be treated with respect here. I went here yesterday to look for planners to make baskets for back to school high school juniors. First, I had a feeling no one would greet me because I came right after the gym and I was wearing a matching gym outfit with shorts and a sports bra. Just as suspected, the women in the front glanced at me and looked away. Second, I go to the back to ask for help to find planners. The girl is dismissive and rude and walks away when I say thank you. Yet another reason to add to the list of why I hate Christian owned stores because the people are so judgey and rude. What happened to love your neighbor? People leave churches because of people like this (I know I did). read more

I love that you have sale signs all over the place, but doesn't qualify for anything that's actually next to the sign. It's apparently only the stupid crap in the back corner of of the bottom shelf that no one can see or even near the sale sign. I love this store!!! It is 45 miles away from my house, but always worth the drive!!! The loss of the 40% coupon is missed.

Great selection of holiday decor. They also have frequent sales which helps make the prices more manageable

I was absolutely boogled the first time I went here. I absolutely love this store. Have had my one and only frame done for one of my watercolor paintings and was very pleased. Have bought fabric and never seen the line more than two or three. Joanns had a line around the whole store. I left. I have only one hand the cashers that I have seen have wrapped everything extremely well and helped me. The things they have are quite interesting and better than any other crafty shop I have been to.The only thing that I could not find at this store is the card sets to make my watercolor cards. I am so glad that this store is now in Salem. read more

I needed salem's largest pieces of shiny white board for my Etsy pic backgrounds. A very nice woman helped me with the biggest foam core\white, and did a cut for for $1, and when the sale was added in, I got a very nice shiny white photgraphic background for my Etsy site pictures at a better price than michaels, or wal mart, or bi mart. You need a big piece of white, The very helpful people back in the right hand back section of the store really know their sh#t. I highly recommend. I had a pricing issue at checkout, but the overly attractive cashier read and resolved the issue quickly, showing her big brain and the high caliber or personnel I met on my first ever visit to a store that rhymed the first word of its name with another word, and then tried to live up to that. Fake old stuff lobby is the store I visited today, but the woman in the art dept, that spent 30 minutes sold me, this is a great store! I doubled the size of my shiny white background because they have the bigest board in salem! read more

This place was great all the employees were very helpful parking was really easy accessible to get and the prices are really good. I really enjoyed the Decour they have lots to choose from. I like to go to places like this to get ideas for things I can decorate my house with. From art supplies, to young and old, models, paints, canvas', and stuff for just about every room in your house I would recommend this to anyone to spruce up your house. read more

Will not return to this craft store. Took my purchase up to counter I had a shadow box picture frame and a plastic sedum. When I was rung up the frame was the original price even though the sign clearly said, "50% off all shadow box frames. I told the clerk they were on sale and she looked at the ad and said that they were not I told her then they should take the sign down. When I got home I looked at my receipt and I was charged full price for the sedum in spite of the sign that was 2 inches from what I purchased, 50% off... I wrote to the corporation about the dishonest sales signs and they said they would talk to the manager. There was no offer of credit me the price difference. I live 70 miles from the store or I would have put the 2 items I purchased back to the store for a refund just out of principal. Worst check out person I have encountered I might add. read more

Their customer service is garbage, they do not stand by their prices that they mark, they say things are on sale and when you get to the front they are not and they don't honor those prices. Their assistant manager James was extremely rude and argumentative. read more

Ok I get it. We had to go from plastic back to paper or reusable bags. It started at .05 then it went to .10. So today I ran over to Hobby Lobby for a couple items I needed for a sewing project. I bought 5-6 items and the gal asked if I wanted a bag. I said sure. Then she says oh sorry out of paper bags and then slides a laminated sheet and says pick one. I was floored. The next price for the bag which was plastic and not reusable was .50 and the prices kept going up. Really did you run out of paper bags or just not reorder? I'm not paying that kind of price for a plastic bag that I can't reuse. it's called getting screwed. I'll not be shopping there again. read more

Closed on a Sunday...WHAT?! While I can appreciate "because of worship", as I am a worshiper, this is still nonsense. In the 10 minutes I have been here I have seen at least 20 cars come in, see they're closed, and leave. Lots of money lost ...not everyone can get here on a workday or Saturday. Today my boyfriend an i were in the store searching for gifts for our girls.. Not only were we followed around like we had done something wrong but it was so bad it was uncomfortable... Every turn we made an employee wasnt far behind... We started at the paint an ended at the checkout an im pretty sure if we stopped they would have ran into the back of us..they woukd team up whisper an pretend to organise nothing.!!. I do not appreciate being treated like this.. Whispering about me an my boyfriend like we are theifs !!! I'm discussed by this place i will never return! The employee's are rude unprofessional this place needs to figure it out. read more

Love that they are closed on Sunday. Employees can actually plan family time and celebrations in advance, which never happens in retail .. they usually use you, burn you out and have high turn over. This stores selection and great prices are unbeatable! So thankful they finally opened in salem.. read more

We were in line checking out at this store Saturday. We were behind a family that we watched get harassed by the checkout lady Kim I think her name is. They had us switch lanes because of the discrepancy. The lady paying for her stuff asked if she could speak to a manager. The manager comes up and says " I heard you were being rude sooo I don't know what to tell ya" First off, WOW! That family was asking legitimate questions about the sale they were having that day and Kim looked like she hated her job and didn't want to deal with it. They embarrassed that family in front of everyone. I personally won't come back to this store because of what I saw. This is a religious company not acting to compassionate or understanding. Gosh, I just can't believe what I saw. Kim was just so rude to them and the manager backed up her rudeness while everyone just stood around and watched. Employees giggling and a manager saying this is hobby lobby what did you expect from the them to put in the ad. Well sir, I'm sure she expected their employees to be decent humans. Our first visit November 3, 2018 approximately noon was met with a plentiful array of holiday creations. Upon filling a cart and arms standing in line to check out for 25 minutes with 2 registers open, one more cashier was called, another 15 minutes standing in line it appears the credit card system has froze the registers. We understand technical difficulties, I will NEVER understand your round long haired Customer-Service Manager barking at cashiers whom are powerless, this manager was rude to the customers who were trying to pay. She could have tried to coach employees and offered assurances to customers, Instead she choose to belittle her staff and throughly demonstrate the grotesque grandiose of a power trip. Yes, I was the one who walked out loudly apologizing to every other employee and unless it is changed I will be delighted to find a more gracious place to shop and recommend. I may only be 1 customer, but obviously will be delighted to share the experience. read more
