I LOVE Kiki's brows! This location is my new favorite!! I have been going to Kiki's brows for a few years now. She is an absolute artist and knows how to work with my skin. Today, I needed to get my brows done after looking in the mirror at barre class and being horrified at my reflection. I called Kiki's brows at Blackhawk Plaza to see if they were open yet because I knew they were going through a renovation. The person that I spoke to told me that yes, it's open at 11 AM, but there's another Kiki's Brows near Safeway. That's open at 10 AM. I needed to get my brows done before lunch today so that I had time to shower and put on makeup before my next meeting. I walked into the super clean, very contemporary-looking atmosphere for Kiki's brows. I was immediately greeted and pleasantly asked to sit for comfort while I waited for the patron before me to finish looking around. The store location is so bright and beautiful. They did a great job on the decor. When it was my turn, Kiki remembered that I used to take my son to the Crow Canyon and Walnut Creek locations to get his eyebrows done with me when he was still in high school. It was amazing because I hadn't seen her in a long time, as I had been getting my eyebrows done by the people she had trained. Also, my son hasn't had his eyebrows done since graduating high school a few years ago, so I use that as my reference point. I love how she made my eyebrows look and feel like I am a superstar. I am seriously so happy! She also asked if I had a frequent stamp card, which I do, because I know that I have a few, and because of my ADHD, those stamp cards are not all in the same place. Her customer service is amazing, and now I have a new stamp card that I will make every attempt not to lose. read more

Kiki Owners, I am writing with extreme disappointment because of an experience my wife went through today at your Danville location. My wife came home feeling humiliated and embarrassed in the way your employee Simran patronized her publicly in front of other customers and an employee at your location. I would hope that you would use your CC tv or indoor cameras to view the interaction that happened today Oct 31st at around 3:15pm. My wife and daughter have been going to your location for the last year and the service they request is threading. We live in the neighborhood and our experience has usually been good. Sometimes I bring my 14 year old daughter there as well for threading. As mentioned the experience was always good until recently. My family usually work with your technician Simran who lately has been rough in her handling with both my daughter, and now again today with my wife. About a month ago on Oct 3rd, my wife went there for threading. Simran was going fast and hard on her face, and my wife asked her to be gentler and to go a little slower. Simran snapped and said she cannot go any slower. It was as if she just wanted to get the job done and get it over. My wife did not say anything, paid and left thinking Simran might be having a bad day. Last week I took my daughter there for threading and she came out in tears saying Simran was very hard with the thread on her face. I did not say anything then, came home and made my wife aware. We then decided perhaps our daughter should be taken somewhere else where she can feel more at ease with a technician who knows how to manage young teenagers. Today my wife went in for threading again. As soon as Simran started, my wife asked her to try to be gentle with the thread because she was going really fast and hard on her face. Simran ignored her request and kept going. After she was done, my wife saw her upper lip area had a blood spot. She pointed it to Simran and showed her that was the reason she was asking her to go slow. Simran started arguing stating it was a pimple that probably popped. It was not a pimple and the bleed was from the harsh threading. My wife saw she was getting loud with other people around and my wife said it's fine and to forget about it. When she went to pay, Simran told my wife to look for someone else going forward. My wife stated that she was only providing feedback because her face had a blood spot. Simran went on with a bad attitude, "Not Kiki the owner and not me, you can go look for someone else". My wife told Simran that she was being very unprofessional and calling her out in public. My wife was feeling humiliated. In response, Simran walked away from the counter and sarcastically stated "oh really, thank you". Simran then went on to state, "We are not your servants here! You might pay us but we provide the service for it." My wife again stated, 'If my face is bleeding and I'm hurt, I have to let you know about it.' My wife left the location. My wife though shaken by the whole experience, still says Simran was probably having a bad day. Just from a human aspect this is horrible. No one should be allowed to humiliate anyone like that. And all for what? For my wife providing feedback despite repeatedly asking her to go slow? My own daughter dreads going to Simran. So I know there's something very wrong here. If Simran has an issue listening to her customers feedback, she is probably in the wrong job. Either way she desperately needs training on how to talk to people at her job especially when someone provides criticism if their face is burning or more, having a blood spot. A simple, "ok I'll go slower" or "I'll keep it in mind the next time", would have gone a long way. Treating any human in this manner is not right. And as the owner, given the number of times this has happened with my family, you have given her the permission and freedom to treat your customers in this manner. For this reason and for the sake of one's mental health and safety, I will not recommend your place of business. read more

I walked in to get my brows done. I was so pleasantly greeted by Kiki herself. She is the warmest, sweetest person. Not to mention she is extremely talented. Some threading places just want to get you in and out. Kiki examines yours face and makes sure what you need. And also goes back in for the smallest detail, even a single hair. She could instantly spot the mistake my last brow person made and did such a beautiful job evening them out. I don't live close, but I will not ever being going anywhere else from now on.
