I come in once or twice a year, usually before a beach type vacation to get my back waxed. They have always had someone at the front desk when I walk in, but not this last visit. Let me mentioned before getting into it, the place is always clean, the entrance, Hallway and wax rooms. The wax service is always fast, professional and as relaxing as it can be getting waxed. I never had a scheduling problem until now either. This last experience was not good. I arrived at 1030 my scheduled time, but no one was at the front desk, but I could hear someone talking on the phone in the room behind the desk. I waited 5 minutes figuring they would come out, but no, so I start to ask if anyone here? No response for 2-3 min, so I asked again, then a lady with black and purple hair comes out of the room and say someone will be right with me and turns back around into the room to continue to talk on the phone, as if I was bothering her at work!! Then a few minutes later, another person comes out from down the hall (I think she was actually with a client) and asked if I have been helped, I said no and told her my appointment was at 1030, she tells me the appointment was at 1040 (this was at 1042, already past my apparently rescheduled appointment) and said someone will be with me shortly. Then the other lady that was talking on the phone comes out from the room behind the desks. I sat there about 5 more mins until my wax person arrives, say sorry for being late, and gets ready (it appears they changed the appointment because the wax person was running late), they never told me they changed the appointment time (no text like all the other notifications, which I like from this place). The appointment was never changed on the website, only locally, maybe they just lied for her, and told me 10:40. Oh and no one ever came out of the room behind the desk after the phone call lady, while I was waiting for my room to be ready. It was clearly a personal call at work and she didn't want to be bothered at work. At the end, I still tipped, against my better judgement, a lower 10% rather that the usually 20%. The wax person was late, but apologized. I think I will return because up until this time it has been great, but not sure.

We trusted her recommendation, and my wife paid in full for the products that day, as Makayla claimed she would place the order immediately. However, my wife did not receive any order confirmation from Makayla via email or text, which is standard protocol. But my wife trusted her. A week passed, and the products never arrived. My wife reached out to her multiple times for an update, but she completely ignored her inquiries. A week later, Makayla finally texted my wife to say the company's website was back up and that she would place the order. This contradicts her previous claim that the order was already supposed to have been placed on 11/30/24. She then asked for our home address again for delivery, which my wife provided. To make matters worse, Makayla claimed she had given my wife the wrong total and that the price was now higher than the original amount of $197. My wife went to the Face Reality website to confirm the cost of the six products Makayla allegedly ordered and found they totaled exactly $196. She shared this with Makayla, who then admitted she had ordered a professional size by mistake. This was yet another excuse that lacked credibility. When my wife requested confirmation of the order placement and an estimated delivery time, once again, there was no response from Makayla. She vanished for days without any communication. Unsurprisingly, the products did not arrive, and Makayla ignored multiple texts and phone calls. Eventually, Makayla resurfaced with the claim that the products had been mistakenly delivered to her home instead of ours. She attempted to blame Face Reality, claiming they had apologized to her for the mix-up. This excuse was hard to believe as well. Makayla arranged for my wife to pick up the products at her workplace the next day between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Predictably, she failed to show up, stating she was stuck in traffic. My wife, being understanding, wished her a safe trip home and they arranged to try the pickup again the following day, Saturday. On Saturday, my wife reconfirmed with Makayla and waited all day, yet once again, Makayla did not show up. My wife attempted to text, call, and email her throughout the day, but received absolutely no response--not even a courtesy message indicating a change of plans. Makayla's behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and it's clear she is conducting business in a shady manner. It is our belief that she took our money with no intention of ever delivering the products. There are no products, no refunds, no apologies and she has gone completely silent. As of still to this day (1/8/25) my wife still has not received any products or promises of a refund. I am taking decisive action against her through my credit card company because what she has done is fraud, plain and simple.

I was supposed to get another service but I was so angry I told her I was leaving. I complained to the front desk and they said they would schedule a touch up two hours later. I was already irritated that I had to drive all the way to San Ramon for this disaster and now they expected me to come back. I agreed at first but something came up and I had to call multiple times to try and move it around. I ended up not being able to make it.
