"Trainers" are not experienced therapists and are only interested in seeing how far they can push/stretch you. After one or two sessions I ended up with a muscle pull in my neck causing me severe pain and the inability to turn my head without pain for nearly two weeks. Would NEVER go back. Wasn't refunded for any of it. Zero communication! They even have stolen my property that I had left there and they promised they would hold for me upon my next session. I reached out to the Founder here in Montclair NJ, she responded with a brief email saying the NV location is out of business. It was great! I learned that I am still flexible which is a plus. The environment is calm and inviting, the studio is small and cozy. I worked with Kayla who was friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable. She taught me some at home stretches to help me sleep and to keep the range of flexibility. There was plenty of parking in the lot next door...$.75 for an hour (the session was 45 minutes). Overall I would definitely recommend this place as well as scheduling with Kayla. read more

Excellent for mind-body balance, strength and flexibility, while supporting recovery from injuries and just a great upbeat peaceful setting! I was going weekly for 6 months because of how effective the stretching sessions have been for me. The benefits of this work were so great as I was working through so many injuries in physical therapy and the fully body stretch support did wonders for my recovery since PT can only focus on one body part recovery at a time. I had extreme shoulder tightness for almost a decade, and no other holistic treatment gave me relief for more than a few hours until I came to Kika Stretch Studio. This method helped my shoulder stay loose for several days at a time which was a great side benefit. I'm still in physical therapy due to many injuries, but have worked through lots of them from being consistent. During periods of high stress, going to the stretch session helped my mind clear due to the breath work incorporated into the stretching. They retrained me on how to release shoulders during tense moments. Anytime I had a headache or lack of sleep coming in, I left with a refreshed clear mind. Now I reached a point where I don't feel I need to go weekly b/c I worked through many injuries and feel great day to day. Oh man, this place! So worth going. If it wasn't the for the price, I would go once a week. They deep massage every muscle from your neck to your ankles. Okay, maybe not every muscle, but many muscles you've always wanted to pull! Kika stretch really helped me during the time of my marathon training. To me, this is "Yoga for Dummies" All you have to do is show up and breathe. These sessions give you all the benefits of yoga and meditation. I have tried both and cannot focus or appreciate the quiet. Instructors keep you focused and gently push you as far as your body is capable. Good posture is emphasized, proper breathing and balance is an added bonus. I just paid for my second set of 10 sessions. Best investment I've ever made in myself. read more

They don't know what they are doing. These are not physical therapists, have absolutely no real training in therapy, anatomy or anything else. Being a little older and having been inactive, I went there to help with my flexibility. They could not asses what I needed and just did their normal routine which may be fine for young flexible people. They do the same routine for everyone. I could not walk for the next 3 days due to excruciating back pain that I did not have when I went in. They are dangerous. They are also way too expensive for what they do. I later discovered that they were stretching me the wrong way completely. A therapist explained the causes of my reduced range of motion, gave me some stretches to do by my self that within minutes increased my range of motions by 60% with not pain the following days. I have no physical conditions other than lack of range of motion from being sedentary for too long at work. read more

I've started to refer to Kika as the stretch whisperer. I've got as much flexibility as a 2 x 4 -- yet Kika managed to get me to relax and experience the stretch. i have chronic RA, and was worried about trying this when i won a session in a raffle. i couldn't be more wrong. my instructor was AMAZING, and was so good with me and my joints. i didn't know i had that many muscles in my body, and it felt so wonderful. i felt brand new when we were done. as soon as our session was over, i paid and scheduled a session for my mom the following week. i know if anyone in the world would benefit from such a wonderful session, it would be my mom. she LOVED every minute of it, and we plan on going as often as possible. i referred my aunt and uncle as well, and i cannot wait to see how awesome they feel afterwards. these ladies are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and i look forward to seeing them very soon again. read more
