Tried out this gym recently- very happy with it! It's a massive space compared to other crunch…read morefitness locations and I love the separate class spaces. Very big parking lot too- I never feel like I'm rushing to grab a spot. Equipment is slightly out of date but I haven't had any issues yet!

Crunch Fitness in East Brunswick, New Jersey, called the police on a Black member, Andrew Cox Sr.,…read moreand his 16-year-old son during a dispute over the teenager's guest identification. Staff rejected the minor's digital school ID and later approached them on the workout floor with police officers after the father asked to speak with a manager. Crunch Fitness's national guest guidelines differ from how local staff handled the incident, and corporate has historically distance itself from rogue franchise actions. Crunch Fitness Official Guest PoliciesAccording to Crunch Fitness's official FAQ and general corporate terms: Identification Rules: National guidelines state that guests using a pass must present a valid government-issued photo ID.Location Discretion: Guest entry requirements and minimum age rules are subject to variation depending on the specific franchise location. The Card Discrepancy: While local East Brunswick staff insisted they needed to physically hold the minor's physical card at the front desk for the duration of the workout, corporate policy pages contain no provision stating a club must hold a guest's physical ID. The member brought his teenage son, most teens under 18 don't have a physical ID unless its a school ID, but they knew the kid was the members son. People working in the gym lack common sense and don't even use their brains for logical communication. This was clearly a customer service issue that could have been resolved by the manager if the workers ever told the manager that a customer needed to speak with him. Running and working at a gym does not need a lot of brain power, you don't have't to be intelligent at all and it appears that it's actually correct. Go figure.

During my visits, I experience good customer service: employees are necessarily helpful and kind…read more The gym has essentials for training well. For the most part, the gym seems clean and has wipes for one to clean after oneself. I don't know how frequent the turf area actually receives quality cleaning attention so one may opt to use a mat when on the turf area. The gym offers nutritional portions as well. I actually order a Vegan shake once which is so cool (temperature wise), filling, tasty, and sweet though seemingly contains no natural fruits. The establishment has a variety of seating areas. The massage chairs are quite decent. The men's locker room (including the sauna) is quite decent. The group training room offers a different space to vibe which I think is quite cool. I'm finding the Red Light Therapy to be quite interesting post-shower after a workout. I am observing apparent pleasant changes, with particular regard to a fairly recent (months ago) though quite minor allergic reaction postprandial from an eatery I'll likely not order from again by way of delivery. Even so, during a recent use, I notice the machine administering the Red Light Therapy, appears to have a lot of long strands of hair on its floor and in front of its door. I clean the floor of the machine with a few wet wipes which appear to pick up a lot of filth, then throw them away. A different material aside from wet wipes might be necessary to more easily clean the rubber area of the machine. If not already happening, I think periodically checking on the light bulbs will ensure the machine will have all lights functioning more often than not. I like the gym and make good use of it. The establishment accepts different forms of payment.

You can go get a good smoothie right after the gym. Equipment is very clean the gym is very clean. The locker rooms are exceptionally clean and I like the fact that it has a steam room in there also.
