The owner is from Japan and has lived in Paris for 19 years. I think his wife helps to prepare the food. This is where all the Japanese expats hang out and I am so lucky to discover Japan away from Japan. This is your typical old fashioned/traditional sushi bar with izakaya style food as well. It's pricey but for what you get, it's well worth it. The sushi rice is prepared traditionally; i say this because if the rice if off, it's not sushi. I think this is one of four Japanese run sushi bars in Paris. I'll figure out where the rest are... Remember, sushi is so popular in Paris that anyone with asian features will open a sushi bar and slap fish on rice and call it sushi. Not Kifune.
Call to make reservations or you'll be sorry.
