All the food here is 100% vegetarian and kosher, and tons of options are either already vegan or can be made that way easily. I ended up having the Israeli platter, which was full of delicious food like pickled veggies, hummus, eggplant, salads, olives, fresh-baked pita, and more. Add in a house-made ginger lemonade and I walked away satisfied.
The cafe itself has plenty of seating, as well as a back room that is the beginnings of a Hebrew/English library and art gallery space. The owner used to do catering but now is focusing her efforts on the restaurant, and you can tell that a lot of consideration goes into it. So if you're in Mitte looking for something healthy, affordable, and good, skip the Döner and stop by Shiloh.
