They just sent my day camp an order we placed 2 years ago! Wow. Please refund our money. We do not want this. No way to contact your company online. Pretty scammy to me read more

Not caring. I bought over $160 worth of stuff for my son. We chose what we needed very quickly and politely asked to use the bathroom as we drove from far away and had to drive back. Noone else was in the store and the manager refused my son from using the bathroom - the reason was "I had to clean a lot of mess from other customers before". Just assuming we would mess her bathroom??? Not caring, avoid. read more

The Wheeling store has the worst customer service. When we pointed out the off-centered logo, the staff replied "No one will notice and it won't affect her play". I spent $88 on a suit I am not happy with and they justified that by stating they are an understaffed small business. read more

I had an excellent experience with Kiefer Aquatics. I needed to purchase 2 tech suits for my competitive swimmer daughters, and since we were going into the championship season, the particular tech suits we needed were sold out everywhere. James at Kiefer went above and beyond to find these suits for us, and they were delivered really fast and on time, as promised. My daughters were beyond happy, and going with boosted confidence into their championship season. Small business for the win! read more

Unbelievably, they decided to move their warehouse and can't deliver product in the process - no mention of it on the website or that there would be a delay. First email response was "the warehouse was moved" but that it would ship within 48 hours; second email response was "the polar vortex and frigid temps/snow" delayed things but that it would ship in 24-48 hours; third email response a week later was back to "warehouse move delayed things" but that it would ship in 24 hours. Four days later I called. "Yes we received your latest email asking to cancel the order. Your order is in the system. No I can't tell you when it will ship but it will probably be at least another week. But we haven't charged you for the suits yet ." The customer service manager seems to imply that if they can't ship the suits I've suffered no financial loss, but ignores that fact that if at some future point the do fulfill the uncanceled order I will be charged for two suits that I may not even want at that point. "Unbelievable customer service" ought to be their motto. It could be unbelievably great, but in this instance it's not. read more

Honestly, Kiefer is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Consistently sending the incorrect item, and then not even bothering to contact me when one of my items was back ordered. Not to mention, they didn't even have a timeframe for getting that item back in stock. Terrible customer service. Strongly do not recommend ever purchasing from them. read more

The Kiefer brand quality seems very poor, and I won't be taking a 4th chance after 2 of 3 men's swimsuits (nylon) failed after one summer with a white gum-like adhesive (extremely sticky & staining) oozing from the bottom stitched seams around both legs. The Glenview store promptly stated that they've heard nothing like this but at least referred me to a so-called Quality Control employee in Zion. But she refused to pass this issue to the Kiefer buyers without a specific "product code" for their many sources of production in Asia, though there is no "product code" on the sewn label of my 3 nylon swimsuits. Kiefer-Zion made it real clear that it couldn't care less about this extremely sticky white adhesive oozing from the stitched seams. And without saying a word to Kiefer, I'll no longer buy anything with the Kiefer name. It has no value at any price. read more

If I could give a minus score I would. My wife ordered multiple pairs of dumbbells more tan 3 weeks ago. Email and phone contacts have resulted in no info. The credit card was charged 3 weeks ago. No product and no customer service. Stay away from this company if you expect customer service. read more

Not sure what is going on with this company but ordered equipment and 3 weeks later still have not received it. Have tried multiple times to contact them but never get a human or a call back. Tried their on line chat, it's a joke, tried e mail to no avail. Have done business with them in the past and NEVER had any problems. What going on, are they still in business? Oh, they did charge my card immediately, may have to cancel charge. Stay away! read more

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Had multiple issues with my order, including that an item was on backorder (I was not notified), and they sent me the complete wrong item. When I asked to file a complaint with a supervisor, I was told that the customer service I received wasn't bad, because the representative contacted me. Newsflash to Kiefer: contacting your customers when they have complaints DOES NOT equal good customer service! Telling your customers that they are wrong and that you did everything correctly is NOT good customer service! There is no reason for this level of inadequacy. read more

Decent quality. Competitive pricing. Don't try to return anything; they'll pretend to phone you with your RA#. Incompetent morons. read more

My letter to the company: Good Morning, I would like you to be aware of my absolute disappointment in you company's customer service and order fulfillment capabilities. I placed a necessary order for my aquatics department just before our first days of summer camp on June 21st. We had lower numbers during those first weeks so our urgency for rescue tubes and pouches for staff was not dire yet. We were told no rush delivery options were available because of a merger/change over that was happening, but we could expect delivery 7-10 days. My Head Guard called 3 weeks ago and was told a supervisor would call him back. He called back later that afternoon and the woman who answered was short and said the supervisor hasn't had time to deal with it yet and would return his call. He never received a call back. My Head Guard called last week and spoke to Julie from the Kiefer office being closed down. She was the only shining light. After more than a month after the order should have been delivered, She located my order, still sitting in a warehouse, having not moved for delivery. We received delivery this past Tuesday, during our final week of camp. We were so desperate for our equipment, we had to order from your competitor Recreonics.com who was able to fulfill our needs in less than a week. We have always ordered our lifeguarding and aquatic supplies with you company but this experience and utter failure to communicate, update, and deliver has left a sour taste in our mouths. Never before have I had an order forgotten which I am sure if Julie had not intervened on our behalf, would still be in some warehouse still not being delivered. No supervisor ever called or emailed. No followup after numerous inquiries. For a company who prides itself on providing life saving equipment, you would think there would be more urgency to make sure the equipment you provide actually gets to those who need it in a timely matter. read more

I wanted to spend my money 'locally' but was that a mistake. I didn't realize that a company who sells swim suits would take five months to deliver it. The funny thing is that I received multiple catalogs with them advertizing this very same swim suit (one on the cover !!). I even went so far as to try to order an second swimsuit. They are now telling me that it should be in sometime in the next 12 weeks. Don't waste your time with them. Everything is made in China and not put together very well. I made the mistake, Please don't do the same. read more

I have been going to Kiefer since my parents took me there in elementary school (I'm in my 40s now) When they were in Zion they were GREAT. Yesterday they had a black Friday sale and I tried to order a bunch of things. When I used the code that they gave out on their website it wouldn't work, so I called. The lady I talked to said there were exclusions and if the discount didn't apply to ALL the items in my cart I could not get it on any. I thought it was ridiculous but tried to split my order into 2, those that received the discount and those that didn't. Problem was then I had to pay for shipping- TWICE. If this is how they are going to treat people I'm done buying from them! I'm sad about it, I've been buying from them most of my life. read more

Exceeded my expectations at resolving a problem with my online order, via https://www.kiefer.com. I purchased the white/black and grey Speedo Women's Surfwalker Pro 2 on clearance. The left shoe has white soles like in the picture online, but the right shoe has yellowed soles. I chatted with their agent online to ask if it would be possible to exchange the yellow right shoe. I thought that they would say that clearance items are as is and not returnable or exchangeable, or at the very best they would let me exchange it if I paid the return shipping. But the chat agent's supervisor said "don't worry about sending the shoes back, we will send you another pair at no cost to you," even though the supervisor also stated that the yellow may just be dis-coloration from sitting in the ware-house for so long so she did recommend to try to use a mild detergent it may help remove some of the yellow. This amazing customer service exceeds Amazon.com's. It was my first purchase with this company, so this experience has made me want to continue buying from them in the future! My only minor complaint with the online store is that they have a minimum $64 order for free shipping, but at least they offer it. I got 20% off my entire purchase for Black Friday 2016, which I think was a better deal than the 15% off selected items at designated times for Cyber Monday. Besides the shoes, I purchased 2 sets of the KIEFER WRIST/ANKLE WEIGHTS.10lbs (5lbs for each side (my pool PT recommended these because they are the same weight in and out of water)), water socks (never heard of these and wanted to try them), Kiefer Small Water Noodle With Hole, and Kiefer Extremity Float (never heard of these and wanted to try them, "horizontal and vertical positioning in the water for aquatic exercise and therapy). Excited to try these at my next pool therapy session. Shipping was delivered fast. They accepted tax as part of the free shipping minimum. read more

I had ordered the flotation kit (wrist floats, waist float, ankle floats) on March 17, 2019. I spoke with some on April 1, 2019 to find out what is going on since I never received a FedEx invoice, only the order confirmation on March 17. I was told that their computers crashed on March 18, 2019, causing a delay in shipments from that time period. I was told to call back on April 3, 2019 if I never received the FedEx tracking number nor product by that time. I spoke to the guy on the phone who sounded confused and stated that nothing was noted on my account. Without even putting me on hold or muting, I heard him arguing with the other support member in the background for 2-3 minutes. After waiting about 5 minutes, he then says he would need to contact the person in the warehouse. At this point, I told him to refund everything, including shipping. Had they just gone ahead and mailed me a set, since I have been waiting 18 days, and sent a return label, just in case the other happened to arrive so I could send that one back. I have recently been diagnosed with a major nerve disorder and finding pool therapy has helped a lot, I was considering buying all of my swim needs from this company, if they had showed that they were respected seller. I have found HYDRO-FIT to be a little pricier, but the quality is excellent, and I have not had a problem with their customer service in the past. From now on, I will be ordering from HYDRO-FIT. read more

You really need to buy all of your swim products from Adolph Kiefer and Assoc. they have what you need, can get what they might not have in stock, get it to you expeditiously and last but least you are doing business with a company that was founded by the oldest living swimming gold medalist and one of the nicest men you would ever have the opportunity to meet, 1936 gold medalist Adolph Kiefer in the 100 meter back. read more

Kiefer is a local swim shop, but also the best place to get swim gear in the area. This is the warehouse store, so if they have it online, they have it here. Sometimes you can find some awesome deals on clearance. The store is always clean and easily organized. It is usually understaffed though and can get busy with just a few people in the store. Definitely worth it for good prices and great gear though. read more

If you're a swimmer, you need to know about Kiefer. As their motto states, they sell everything but the water! As an avid lap swimmer and someone who has taken water aerobics, I have ordered from Kiefer a few times and have had good luck with every item I have ordered. The only problem I have had so far was with a Finnis SwiMP3 when the internal battery (on the old model!) died. I called Kiefer to ask if this could be replaced, and they told me to return it to them and they would ship me another. The process wasn't that bad and I received a new SwiMP3 quickly. Quality and shipping have been outstanding and their prices are fair. I prefer to order my swim apparel from Kiefer than shop at the local "sports" stores. read more

I paid a two-day shipping price for a product that was received later than a week after it was ordered. On the day I expected to receive the product, I saw my credit card statement no longer had a charge associated with the item. Thinking my order was cancelled somehow and not receiving any sort of communication I ordered a similar product from a different vendor with expedited shipping. A few days later I received the product from Kiefer and the following day I received the product from the other vendor. I choose to return the merchandise from Kiefer on my dime. Kiefer reimbursed the cost of the product. I contacted Kiefer thru their website to request a credit for the original shipping cost but didn't receive a response. 11 days later I phoned the customer service center and was told that shipping costs are not reimbursed. I'm disappointed at the lack of communication on Kiefers part and their charge for a service that was not received. read more

I love it. The girls who work there are so nice and helpful (and really pretty ). The computer is slow and all, but that's okay because the service is so attentive! read more

I ordered the Aqua Swim Suit, it was very light weight. I got in the pool but still felt really cold. But the main reason for the low rating is when I got out of the water, I needed help taking the suit off. It felt like is was glued to my body. It was very embarrassing to ask for assistance to get undressed from people you didn't know. Just FYI - once the suit hit the water - there are now returns or refunds. read more

Sent swim fins that were the wrong size and I got stuck with a $12 shipping fee for a $20 product. Customer Service way not sympathetic and essentially said, "Too bad!!" I will never shop here again. read more

Good products at a fair price. It's on the short list of places we shop for swimming supplies. Plus if you get a chance and have the time, talk with Adolph. He is an amazing individual who helped develop the USN swim training program. He is a WWII vet and Olympic Gold Medal winner. The stories he can tell are worth the trip. read more
