Mikayla and the team who were working with us made sure everything was set up perfectly and was so amazing with the children. They were occupied and happy for more than an hour! Once you step into the place it had a funky smell but I guess you can't avoid that since everyone takes their shoes off and wears socks, this place is pretty old so yea ..... Anyways, some things have changed like the ball blaster is now gone and there used to be a second level where the ball pit was but it got replaced by a projector. Some kid also threw up all over the place and they had to move tables to bring a steamer out to clean up. The food sucked- typical pizza, nuggets, and fries that were soggy. Our hostess was friendly enough and did her best to feed kids and adults. The fact that there's no separation between different age grouped kids is insane to me- for someone who has high anxiety when it comes to their kid, this place was the worst. Unsanitary, terrible food, and the "supervision" at each area was minimal at best.

(Incoming rant that makes me sound like an old man: These kids have no idea how great they have it. When I was eight, we had birthday parties in a empty gym and we were lucky if they threw us some balls.) On the other hand, for most adults (at least the ones who don't love screaming children, flashing lights, and other people generally in their personal space), it's entirely too crowded, and an utterly chaotic nightmare. Unsurprisingly, Urban Air is a mecca for Brooklyn birthday parties, which is how we've always come in. However, I'm sure you can just pay for a ticket for your kid (I imagine it's more than you want to spend, but you already live in Brooklyn so you know what it is) if you need to get them moving this winter. The food situation is exactly what you'd expect: bad pizza, popcorn, pretzels, chicken fingers, etc. I think I could forgive them for most transgressions if they only offered alcohol, but I suppose we're here for the children. Just hopefully not that long.
