They truly care about their ducklings and go above and beyond to offer one-on-one attention to each child. Our son has speech delays and Ms. Hicks has played a crucial role in working with him and helping us find additional services. Her background is in education so the daycare is set up more like a Montessori school which we really appreciate. (We looked at similar daycares and they cost double!) At Little Ducklings they do a lot of fun activities while also working on developmental skills. They are very good about updating us on what they are learning. They will send us videos of the curriculum (songs, etc) and pics of our son which helps us work on skills with him at home. Little Ducklings is a such a great school and we feel lucky to be part of it.

I can tell the children are cold because they are outside shivering and their faces are all red from the cold. They are also always outside crying. I had a horrible experience that one can never forget. My son went to this facility 6 years ago when he was 6 months. We loved the facility and the daycare workers. As time went on we realized that the staff was constantly changing and some were rude and just didn't care. I finally asked one of the girls that I really had like and notified us that she was leaving as well why there turn over rate was so high and was told they favoritized certain individuals and treated Everyone else unfairly and were rude. She let it all out. Anyways my personal issue was that they would allow the cleaning staff "the directors niece and her boyfriend" to watch the kids and help out. Keep in mind these two individuals were not suppose to be helping with the kids (we were told they were only cleaning staff) One day the niece picked my son up with another child in her hand and dropped my son on his head on concrete. I was notified 3 days later by a little note stating "im sorry, I dropped your son on his head." When I confronted the daycare worker she was unaware of when it happened or how and pointed me to the person who had put the note. When I asked when and how this happened she told me she was unable to provide me any information and walked away. I went to speak to the director and asked her why her niece was watching my child and how did he drop my son and I was barely being notified. My son could have had a concussion, he should have been taken to the hospital!!! The director only apologized and I told her this was unacceptable. I was a young mother who had no support or friends at the time and was unaware of how to handle this situation, I should have reported the facility. We immediately pulled my son out and as time went on he slowly started showing problems. The doctors were unaware if it is because of when he was dropped on his head when he was 9 months old or not since no one took him to the hospital when it happened.

There are sand boxes, a garden greenhouse, fun play structures, rotating theme pretend area, and a shallow creek to play in. Special guest appearances from some animal friends and librarians make their days exciting. We really enjoyed their annual Art Show where all the kids can show off their creations to parents and loved ones. Every teacher and staff members are incredibly kind and talented. We've made great parents friends and have plans to send our younger child there when the time comes. We feel lucky to have found Little Wings and encourage anyone looking for quality preschool education to set up a meeting with their team. Dani and all of the staff are friendly and well qualified. They have a handy app so you can get photo updates on what your child is up to during the day. The facility is cozy, clean, and accommodating for atypical children and typically developing children alike. I love that they have the children eat snacks and lunch outside and play outside as much as possible when weather is accommodating. Kids are allowed to be kids here, and learn through play. One of the most important things to take away from this is that this is a school, and not a day care. Your child will be stimulated, and will have great stories to tell at the end of each school day, whether it's about one of the pets in the classroom, or one of the field trips they go on.
