Today we are experiencing flooding and horrible rain in the area. One of the staff called to make sure I am okay and see if I will be able to safely get to Children's Garden. The level of care that they have for our kids and community is beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere. If you can get your child into CG, I highly recommend it!

I can tell the children are cold because they are outside shivering and their faces are all red from the cold. They are also always outside crying. As a parent I wouldn't like seeing my child outside in this freezing cold weather that's just not okay. I also did notice that they have a bunch of car tires in their play yard ?? Why does a preschool need something like that for. Also another mom who use to take her son there last year mentioned about she found out on her own about how the owner got a DUI last year but never told any of the parents even though licensing requires you to...

I spent 5 days here as a Camp Keep counselor and it was a wonderful experience! The grounds are…read morehuge but not big enough to get lost. The cabins had 4 bunk beds, a pop up pod and a heater. The bunk beds are twin size and they kept a broom and pad inside for cleanup. The heater worked great, it kept the cabin very toasty. The cafeteria was close to the dining hall and food was delicious! They gave adults double servings and at almost every meal time, there were enough for seconds for the kids. The boys and girls restrooms were not close to eachother. There were a total of 8 or 9 showers and bathroom stalls. The water pressure and temperture was great. Through out the day you can hear wild turkeys and see them on the trees especially in the morning and I loved it! I loved hearing gobble gobble every morning. Close by there were cows, and on the hikes you can see them. There is an on site health center, learning center and marine center with tons of things to see and do. During recess, the kids were able to play volleyball, basketball, soccer, tetherball and there was a even a traverse wall. The hikes here were great. During the hikes kids could see creeks, bugs, and sometimes even small mammals. There is also poison oak and ticks so it important to pay attention. The best part of camp keep was the staff. The naturalists were so awesome. The kids loved them. Personally, they were the best part! They were so friendly and knowledgeable, and made everything fun even if it was cold. Camp keep is an experience every kid should have and it's an honor to be able to return as a counselor!

I am incredibly grateful and have nothing but praise for the paso robles youth arts foundation…read more(PRYAF)!!! I'm am equally grateful to the many volunteers and supporters who make this place possible. I'm a single parent and became ill and unable to work a few years ago. This drastically changed our lives financially. My income was reduced to social security disability and SSI.... in addition to extra medical costs associated with travel costs for treatment! This means we have to be extremely frugal. I have fully embraced my new frugal self, but what always gets me (and has never gotten easier to shrug off) is the many sacrifices my children HAVE TO deal with. Things like dance or art classes, sports, and sometimes even the basics aren't options. PRYAF has made it possible for my daughter to take the dance classes she has always wanted to take!! She just finished taking jazz and hip-hop classes and will be taking jazz and ballet over the summer break. For my children to have a "slice" of normalcy at a time I can't provide it has been HUGE, healing, and melts this mommy's heart :) My daughter is always so excited to go to her classes and we're both incredibly thankful for the opportunity and possibility!! Thank you PRYAF!!!
