My dog was very ill and needed to be put down. The vet took him from my arms and said he had to take him on back and start the IV. When he came back with my dog he put him my lap and he was dead. I told I didn't get to hold his paws and say good-bye. He said he had a seizure in the back. We always take our dogs after they pass. My dog is very fussy and uncooperative, they were very gentle and easy with her and did an amazing job cleaning her teeth and even trimmed her nails all for around $200 not to mention they were SUPER nice to me and understood my anxiety over the whole thing. So thankful! Highly highly recommend this place. I now understand why other reviewers say they drive huge distances to see Dr. Longabach,, know I will be back here.

The consultation went really well and I appreciate how friendly the staff is and Dr. Cherry's support in walking me through the assessments being conducted, what they meant, and things I could do at home for Nacho. Additionally, they were incredibly careful with Nacho and gave him tons of treats to help him sit for the assessment. Within a day or so I got a follow up with at-home exercises along with a plan for physical therapy which included photobiomodulation (laser therapy) and water treadmill. We came back for Nachos first therapy session with Gianna and he was happily sitting for the laser therapy with his goggles because he got plenty of frozen treats to steal his attention. He had some difficulty learning to walk in the underwater treadmill which is normal, and I appreciated being able to watch and help as needed. They also were able to accommodate us leaving through a separate exit due to his reactivity. The therapies are a little expensive, (which is normal for the area) but definitely worth the long term benefits in Nacho's quality of life. I would definitely recommend Animal Care Clinic!

The experience was a "zero" out of 5. He became infected; I sent in videos of him limping, he was improperly treated. I had to bring him to the Emergency Vet ($$$) as they didn't wrap it (they thought they did, but didn't, couldn't recall if they did stitches/did/didn't?... just a misfire of care all round). The truth is, they botched Tucker's foot, he was in a lot of pain/infected, and they did not own it, feel sorry, or anything. I have switched to amazing new vets since. It's too bad as front office staff, office manager and Dr. S are great. The dew claw dr was nice too, but the result was painfully bad.

They use to be a 5 star operation, and very fair in what they charged too. But somewhere along the way greed has taken oven. Our last serval visits we have left feeling we under cared for especially given the price we were charged. A couple of examples, how does a fairly straightforward pet emergency cost significantly more for a office visit that the day and a half stay the Ciera Alto Emergency Hospital that provided not just everything that was done at Mission but more f it including significant time with the night vet and frequent status updates. Cierra Alto did all the lab work again plus more, found medical issue missed by Mission and we left with multiple prescription filled including duplicate 1 prescription also filled at Mission. The shocking part was Cierra charged LESS THAN MISSION, and that included ALL prescriptions and the nighttime emergency vet procedures and time. The total cost at Cierra Alto was about $150 LESS than the just the OFFICE VISIT w/labs and 1 Rx at MISSION. Cierra Alto did significantly more, including duplicating everything Mission had done. To add to insult of high cost at Mission the needed Rx refills filled at Mission simply is highway robbery, I expect a vet office to charge more, even a minimum charge per Rx filled, but 2 Rx filled that together would cost $10 - $20 total for single fill half if that if schedule for auto refills should cost about 15x more than retail and 20-30x wholesale because they were filled at the vets office. No wonder the big beautiful office has been empty the last 2 times I have been there, I don't think I'm the only feeling ripped off for service or items received. I'm now looking for a new vet office. Lovely friendly service is great, but I'm not made of money and am not a fan of being over charged for service or products! An AI summary after inputing my prescription fill charges for each prescription and additional "mandated" fee charge too (it was not mandated, just clinic imposed fee made to look like mandated) is actually spot on on the pricing: "...without active in-clinic nursing care--the price you were charge is on the absolute highest end of veterinary markups". "Long term charge from veterinarian clinic is not sustainable for managing your pets condition" Wow, couldn't say it better. Sorry mission, your owners greed is forcing me leave. I love the care and kindness of the staff, but overall the quality of care is slipping and cost are skyrocketing. When it is cheaper to go to the 24 hr emergency pet hospital than to go to your vet, your vet is simply overcharging. Shame on the owners of Mission, I have a hard time think Dr Kevin can still ge the owner given recent care and charges, it is nit how he started the practice and developed its loyalty of patients/pet owners.

My 11 year old Chihuahua-terrier mix dislocated her hip, she was crying in pain, we were beside ourselves, unable to help her. My husband called around who was open on a holiday weekend, and we found Atascadero Pet Hospital. They immediately invited us in to their beautiful facility and put my baby under anesthesia and put her hip back in place. We took her home in a hip sling, and she did wonderfully. We only had to give her the pain medicine that they sent us home with the first and second night. Today was our follow up and the hip sling is off and now we all have to do is pray that keeping her contained for a few more weeks with careful handling, her hip will heal and not need further surgery. I just can't express how much gratitude I have to these kind people and how wonderfully they treated us. I especially want a shout out to a young man, I think his name is Juan, young man, very handsome and just so in tuned to everything we needed to hear and how to take care of her once we got her home. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and assured us that we could call anytime of day or night if something happened that wasn't right or if my pet was in pain. I can't tell you how much this meant to us. Monkey is healing. We are so relieved to know that there are experts out there that will help us and be kind to our animals. Of course, the surgeon and the vets were amazing as well, so thank you to them and thank you for the time that they also spent with us explaining our options. And I just want to add, that those inaccurate reviews of this wonderful facility are likely hyperbole. Being a healthcare provider myself, for humans, I know, you can't make everybody happy. And you can't make miracles happen every time. There are many variables to consider when making a recommendation about options for health, and quality of life. It may not be an easy fix, and it may not be the best for the pet. And sometimes that's hard to hear. And, quite frankly, healthcare even if it's for a pet, is quite expensive. It's part of being a pet owner (or human). I was actually quite amazed that my dog had full-on anesthesia and her hip put back in place and a sling placed for such a reasonable amount. It was even less than they had quoted us and, they didn't ask to do a bunch of bloodwork and everything else ahead of time. They just took her to surgery and put her hip back in. Amazing! I stand behind what I said, these people are very mindful and compassionate in the work they do.
