It was Coco's first visit to Morro Bay Veterinary Clinic. We were kindly greeted by your amazing staff. We felt comfortable the moment we walked in. Dr. Martin was amazing. He was very informative, thorough, and caring. Coco was a previous patient to "the other vet" in town. Last time we were there our anxiety was through the roof (putting it lightly). Thank you, Morro Bay Veterinary Clinic! We are grateful for your hard work and dedication.

While searching for a primary for my new kittens many friends and family pointed me to Morro bay veterinary and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only did I get in very quickly they were very helpful at getting my kitten the surgery she needed without going into debt.

I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic. All of the staff is extremely helpful. Jessica always goes above and beyond. She has cared for all of my cats over the last 30 years. Her attention to detail and ability to explain things: like how to give medication and subcutaneous fluids really helped me to extend all of my cat's lives. She remembers every single detail. Recently I had to put my cat to sleep. Dr Bryd and Jessica were so kind to my sweet cat. They got her in right away, so she would not have to suffer any longer. They made sure kitty was comfortable in her last moments and were very kind to us ...Thank you.

I brought my cat Momo in who suddenly fell ill. I was super worried and called in, got in the same day. Dr.Martin was very thorough and assuring. Momo was able to get fluids and the antibiotics she needed. She was back to eating and drinking an hour after picking her back up!

We were packing to go camping, when I noticed our 7 y/o labradoodle had gotten into some oatmeal…read moreraisin cookies and probably eaten 6. We took Waggy in to be examined. Everyone, from the person who greeted us to Dr. Anderson were wonderful. Our pup had to have vomiting induced, and it was pretty scary. We were given encouraging instructions on what to watch for. Thankfully, he is going to be okay.

Unbelievably great service. From our first phone call, of course on a holiday weekend, to meeting…read morethe front staff, and the talented vet techs. EVERYONE was kind, soothing and eager to help. My 11 year old Chihuahua-terrier mix dislocated her hip, she was crying in pain, we were beside ourselves, unable to help her. My husband called around who was open on a holiday weekend, and we found Atascadero Pet Hospital. They immediately invited us in to their beautiful facility and put my baby under anesthesia and put her hip back in place. We took her home in a hip sling, and she did wonderfully. We only had to give her the pain medicine that they sent us home with the first and second night. Today was our follow up and the hip sling is off and now we all have to do is pray that keeping her contained for a few more weeks with careful handling, her hip will heal and not need further surgery. I just can't express how much gratitude I have to these kind people and how wonderfully they treated us. I especially want a shout out to a young man, I think his name is Juan, young man, very handsome and just so in tuned to everything we needed to hear and how to take care of her once we got her home. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and assured us that we could call anytime of day or night if something happened that wasn't right or if my pet was in pain. I can't tell you how much this meant to us. Monkey is healing. We are so relieved to know that there are experts out there that will help us and be kind to our animals. Of course, the surgeon and the vets were amazing as well, so thank you to them and thank you for the time that they also spent with us explaining our options. And I just want to add, that those inaccurate reviews of this wonderful facility are likely hyperbole. Being a healthcare provider myself, for humans, I know, you can't make everybody happy. And you can't make miracles happen every time. There are many variables to consider when making a recommendation about options for health, and quality of life. It may not be an easy fix, and it may not be the best for the pet. And sometimes that's hard to hear. And, quite frankly, healthcare even if it's for a pet, is quite expensive. It's part of being a pet owner (or human). I was actually quite amazed that my dog had full-on anesthesia and her hip put back in place and a sling placed for such a reasonable amount. It was even less than they had quoted us and, they didn't ask to do a bunch of bloodwork and everything else ahead of time. They just took her to surgery and put her hip back in. Amazing! I stand behind what I said, these people are very mindful and compassionate in the work they do.

The consultation went really well and I appreciate how friendly the staff is and Dr. Cherry's support in walking me through the assessments being conducted, what they meant, and things I could do at home for Nacho. Additionally, they were incredibly careful with Nacho and gave him tons of treats to help him sit for the assessment. Within a day or so I got a follow up with at-home exercises along with a plan for physical therapy which included photobiomodulation (laser therapy) and water treadmill. We came back for Nachos first therapy session with Gianna and he was happily sitting for the laser therapy with his goggles because he got plenty of frozen treats to steal his attention. He had some difficulty learning to walk in the underwater treadmill which is normal, and I appreciated being able to watch and help as needed. They also were able to accommodate us leaving through a separate exit due to his reactivity. The therapies are a little expensive, (which is normal for the area) but definitely worth the long term benefits in Nacho's quality of life. I would definitely recommend Animal Care Clinic!

I live 40 minutes away and I still bring my pets to be seen there because I know that I can trust the people who work here. I brought home a puppy late last year (my first as an adult, I've either adopted cats or adult dogs) and I was a fish out of water. Alex was so excited to see my new addition, and Elizabeth was able to answer all of my questions about how to go about puppyhood since she, as she put it, "could treat me as a client vs someone who knew what to do". My tiny man is not so tiny anymore, but he still loves coming to see his friends. Honestly, all three of my dogs do. Whenever I come in with Hex (the puppy) I try to make sure it's a positive experience for him and last time we went he apparently just... melted in the treatment area for everyone for his exam. Our fun visits worked in my favor. Thank you, everyone for treating my babies so well!

If it were not for their dedication and expertise, I believe that my precious Romeo (dog) would still be suffering from his inflamed intestines, which was a very difficult illness to diagnose.
