My little girl especially loves the trampolines and the swings they have. 30 minutes of free play is always followed by a 15 minute Circle time where they listen to music, do silly dances and sing songs. We've been coming here since Spring and really enjoy having this type of parent & me movement class for this age range. Like many toddlers, my girl is in the "NO!" Phase but will always say "yes" to "jump jump" (what she calls the class). The only issue is the lack of parking. It can be a hassle since the center is located in the Big O tires/auto body/mechanics shared parking lots. So, be sure to come early to get a space!

Some of the classes can get very crowded, especially on the weekend, but the instructors are very good about separating the kids into two (or more) groups that work on different sets of exercises (e.g. floor & bars). Mary Lou, who started this gymnastics center and ran it for many years sold it to one of her students, Amy - who runs it now. Many younger ex-students assist with classes along with either Mary Lou or Amy leading, and it gives me a lot of satisfaction to know that this Livermore institution will continue many years into the future.

She is friendly, understanding that 2 year-olds dont always follow direction so patient but encourages them to try something new without being pushy. Our daughter enjoys her time every week and looks forward to going. I will mention for parents doing research and comparing options there is no make up classes available for toddlers, but the price stays the same if there is 5 of your day of the month or 4. When I inquired with Kazio about their ability/willingness to work with neurodivergent kids, I was told it was definitely an option; my daughter just needed to be evaluated to see if she would benefit from a private lesson or could do a group lesson. During the evaluation, I thought for sure my daughter would need a private lesson; NOPE I was SUPER excited because it meant the coaches are really willing/able to work with a neurodivergent kiddo AND my daughter could be with her peers. All of the coaches here are fantastic! My daughter really loves coach Malik and coach Madison; they are great with her, ESPECIALLY Madison! Madison is patient, encouraging, understanding and helps my daughter believe in herself. Although my daughter hasn't progressed like many neurotypical kiddos her age, she has made progress her way and I'm very PROUD of her! In that email, they had old covid protocols from 2020. They really need to update their "welcome" information for parents. - The class is for ages 5-12 and they keep the kids together. The problem with this is that 5 year olds do not have the attention span or understanding as the older kids. To have them all together and essentially "punish" the older kids to hold a "stretch" position until the younger kids are able to catch up is not right. They need to split kids up by age groups and create a more positive learning experience. - Coach Sam is not someone who exhibits a positive cheer attitude. Both my child and my friend's child came back home talking about how mean she was. These camps are intended to be fun, she did not make it fun or treat the kids with respect. In the time when I was there, I also observed her lack of kindness. - Sign in and sign out process is a joke, they do not even check when you pick up your children. This is not safe, they should check when each child is picked up by an appropriate guardian especially if it's a camp setup like this. - Several children were new to cheer/tumlbing and needed help with the basics such as how to do a cartwheel, the "teachers" did not provide any help. They just told the kids to keep trying and to not interrupt them when they are working with other kids. How is a child supposed get help? The overall lack of actual teaching was really disappointing.

I'll preface this by saying I believe USC is probably the best option in the area. I have had two…read morekids going here for roughly a year plus. Pros: facility is solid it has a lot of potential activities and different ways kids can grow and learn gymnastics. They also have a play area which is clutch for dealing with kids who don't have class at the same time. Cons: teachers look often inexperienced and turnover is common. First few months we had two younger but quite vocal and directed coaches. Now it's tricky. In my other class we have more experienced coaches, but midway through the class they tend to lose focus and kids are sorta all over the place. They have some odd rules and enforce or change them at what seems random. Sit in the wrong spot? They'll announce a general warning not to do that. Bring your kids to the door that they used to let them in last week that without warning was changed to the other one? You bet that's gonna be a public service announcement about you messing up. Overall: experience is going to be class dependent especially with the teachers. If I knew there was a clearly better option I'd probably take it. As of now I believe USC is probably the best option in the area.
