I took my daughter here yesterday for a couple hours to play yesterday. It's been raining, so she needed to get out and burn off some energy. She's 2 years old and loves to play. It was $15, which was well worth it. The place is small but cute and was packed with kids ranging from 1-4 years old. She was so excited to play in the ball pit and structures. They have little areas set up for imagination play such as a veterinarian area, a grocery check out area with play food and shopping carts, little play houses, reading nooks, blocks areas, so much to play with and explore. It's so cute to see her figure out all of these play areas. We hung out at the tables in the back and let her enjoy herself with all of the other little kids. I felt totally comfortable there and did not need to worry about my little one, like some of those bigger places get a lot of rowdy older kids. Other notes about the facility: They had coffee, tea and water for free. The bathrooms were clean, especially loved the regular changing tables in there (the foldable ones make me nervous). Socks were $3 for play socks with rubber grips on the bottom. She loved it and we all had a great afternoon. We will come back when in Oakland for another play day. read more

great little indoor play place for my 4.5 year old. $3 for trampoline socks if you don't bring your own, and they have snacks ($1), plaza parking, lots of tables and chairs and free wifi if you're like me and need to do some work while you're solo parenting. Everything is in one central room so it's easy to "work" and keep an eye on your little one. Lots of pretend play stations with Melissa and Doug or that style of toys - grocery, vet, kitchen -- plus duplo wall, magnatiles, connect 4, a small toddler foam area, and the star of the show, the giant play structure with a swing, slide, and large ball pit. The complimentary water, tea, keurig coffee were a plus for me. I know my little one will want ot be back - this occupied her for about 3 hours and she could have stayed longer. read more

A great place for indoor play for toddlers and young children as long as it isn't a place one goes to frequently as the diversity of place is limited and the play structure is on the smaller size. But a once a month visit would be excellent time for a child and to help burn off that excess energy the child has. One thing that I personally didn't like was the strong scent they had to probably deodorize the place from smell of kids sweat and etc. as it was way too strong for me at some parts of the place and it causes my nose to start feeling itchy and runny. read more

This place is awesome! I had my daughter's birthday party here this past weekend, and all of her little friends loved it. There was a staff member there the whole time who helped set up the space for us and added little touches with her own decor to make our daughter's party extra special. She also helped us pack everything up at the end. This space is amazing, and they even provided TV for the adults (playoff football), and Bluetooth speakers so my daughter could have her favorite music playing while she was having a blast with her friends. KPZ was very communicative with me leading up to the party, and made sure the space was clean and warm for the guests. I highly recommend KPZ for your little's next party, or a playdate! First time visit was for my sons 3rd birthday party. I was in search for an indoor space and that's when I came across Kids Play Zone on yelp. I know it's silly to just book something without seeing the place or calling to ask questions. But the reviews were really good and the layout of the place was what I was looking for. I was not disappointed when I showed up! The space was clean and just as it was pictured on the website. Indoor play structure, ball pit, pretend play kitchen, market, vet station, an area for little babies and so much more. The kids looooovvveeeedddd the place. They were able to run around freely and play as much as they wanted. There was no schedule time about when to eat or play (most places I looked at had a set time when we could play). Not only did the kids love the space so did the parents. It was space for parents to hang out while the kids played in a safe place. There is a party room separate from the play area. Which I liked as it separates the play and eat time! Kels was very helpful and communicative throughout the party! I loved that she had rented party decorations available to use. Kels sends out a rule sheet with notes and advice and I highly suggest the food advice lol. Finger foods is definitely the way to go! My toddler had the time of his life here yesterday! We found Kids Play Zone through Instagram/Yelp when looking for some rainy day activities in Oakland for kids. The first visit waiver was easy to fill out and the space has lots to do! My son really enjoyed the ice cream truck and play kitchen. We enjoyed the ball pit and the slide area too! Super clean and big enough to socially distance. My husband really enjoyed the chill music too and that we could sit and let our son play independently when he wanted to or engage more if needed. Had the pleasure of having my sons 2nd birthday party here! We had first learned about this little gem months ago during a rainy day. We ended up purchasing the 5 visit pass and our little one not only loved to visit, but it was nice to see him become more comfortable each time we went. We love how there are so many different stations for the kids to play like the play structure and pretend play areas. It's the perfect place for a little one to stay occupied and explore safely. The owner is such a great woman who really cares about her business and the community. She does an excellent job of keeping the place organized and clean. For the birthday party, I really appreciated how organized and helpful she was. I had both my December babies party here in December. Kelinda was so sweet and helpful in making my decision. Not only was the place perfect but her hospitality was unmatched along with her mother. They made sure everything was smooth and were playing music along while the kids played. It was a whole VIBE! I would definitely recommend this place for any mom or parties you're having for your little ones if you want to do something intimate but fun this is your go to! She also had decoration packages but i already had a theme. She made sure to have everything set up and it was so perfect and beautiful. So grateful. I'd like to start by saying that while our experience at this venue was not the best. The kids had fun which is why I noted 2 stars vs. 1. The attitude of the owner deserves 0 stars. We were super excited to host here based on all of the positive reviews, but don't be fooled. Over an hour before the agreed upon end time of our event, she completely left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. She told several of our guests that they need to clean up (with an attitude). As hosts of an event, we should have simply been warned that we were approaching our end time (i.e., you have 30 minutes left), not our guests. How embarrassing it was to have invited GUESTS and have them asked to clean! The owner began cleaning and clearing our items (again, with an attitude). I told her several times we'd handle it, but the comments to both us (the hosts) and our guests made us feel like we did something wrong. I do not know or even care what type of experiences caused this attitude/behavior but it should be fixed. I understand this is a small business but you must do better. Everyone was shocked by the behavior and attitude displayed, not just me. I would understand if we were rude to her and she just wanted us out, but aggressively throwing and putting toys away while kids were still playing was beyond me. Again, I am not only speaking from my own experience but also from all whom attended. Super disappointing. Do better! read more

I'm so, so happy to have found this place. It's so clearly run by a parent who *gets* it. After taking my toddler to Gymboree, parks, playgrounds, and various toddler story-times throughout the week, I was WISHING for a place I could take him where he could have the time of his life (and exhaust himself In the process) and I could actually sit, relax, and get some work done. THIS IS THAT PLACE! The owner has thought about everything. There's good Wi-Fi, complimentary keurig coffee and a nice selection of teas, as well as tables and chairs to settle in with your laptop. There's also chill music on (no Kidz Bop here!) that I really appreciate. Meanwhile, while I'm in my work flow, my toddler is L I V I N G. There's a ball pit, slides, a mini house, kitchen, food truck set, legos, a veterinarian clinic, and so much more. He sets off and doesn't look back. The nap he has after we leave is next level. When my kids (8 and 2) arrived, our temperatures were taken and were asked to sanitize our hands. There is a shoe and coat area that we placed out belongs in, then the kids dove directly into the ball pit!! We bought a package before leaving, and will return within a few weeks!! I hosted a private party here, it's perfect for little kids!! The toys provided tons of entertainment, the kids were running around for 3 full hours non-stop. My kid's favorites were the ball pit, slides, and pretend grocery lane full of food items they presented to purchase and grocery carts. The lunch room has plenty of space for us to set up cupcakes, mimosas, and our sandwiches lunches. Lots of sitting room for parents to enjoy good conversations. Max amount of people is 45, we had roughly that amount and it was plenty of space for us to spread out. I would come back here for an event anytime. The owner, Kelinda, helped us clean everything up. If I could give this business 10 stars I would. I am highly impressed and we most definitely return. There are several stations for all ages to play and perfect for rainy days. The gal, team member, literally did not stop cleaning the entire time. She kept everything sanitized and the entire place tidy. There are seats for parents along with complimentary water and coffee. AVOID THIS PLACE. It smells gross and the owner is unprofessional. First, this place smelled HEAVILY of stale marijuana when we walked in. I mean, woah. It smelled so bad that my child and I couldn't stay longer than 15-20 minutes; It smelled so bad that it made me wonder if someone was actively smoking in the back; It smelled so bad it made me concerned whether my child would get a second hand high. Second, before leaving, I kindly let the person at the front (ended up being the owner) know about the foul smell. I honestly thought I was doing her favor, because I, personally, would want to know if my place of business smelled like that. Especially if it is a place for kids. She became defensive and curt and kept saying "there is nothing I can do about it. There is nothing I can do about it". I told her that I wasn't asking her to do anything about it (It's not like I panned on returning) and that I thought she would want to know. She said that there was "a couple" who smelled like weed and that's why the entire place smelled like that. Hilarious, owner, buuut...no. How could two people who left stink up the place like that? Lol. It smelled like the employees hot box that place every night after hours. Third, this place is clearly a professional place of business (/sarcasm), since when I left solicited feedback, someone who did not sound very bright (sounded like the owner) provided the following written response: "Like any business you enter employees or management DO NOT control how people smell when they enter their establishment! No one else complained and no other customer brought it to my attention. So I truly hope that when you enter public establishments that you notify their management that they have customers with BO or any smell that offends YOU. As I mentioned to you I have no control over a person body odor nor how they smell. How would you feel if a stranger walked up to you and told you that you smelled how would feel? How would you like that? So next time think about that before you make a comment about another person's body! Good night and have a wonderful rest of your week!" -Most likely the owner. What is this person talking about?? Were they high when they wrote this?? To the owner: Nobody was talking about anyone's BO, except you. Lol. I don't think "most people" would tell you that your business smells heavily of weed, even though it does. As a business owner, I would think you would want to know this information. You're welcome for the feedback :) This is supposed to be a place for children. It is literally called "Kids Play Zone," which makes the owner's entire demeanor even more inappropriate. In addition to the terrible smell and rude owner, the toys are cheap and the place looks/smells unclean. If you're looking for a quality place for your kids to play, THIS IS NOT IT. We took our 19-month old there yesterday and he loved it so much that he did not want to leave. Since it was a federal holiday, the owner asked that kids stay for a maximum of 2 hours. Initially, I didn't think he would last 2 hours but there was so much to do and play with, he could've stayed there all day. Our little chef was particularly fond of the play kitchen and the little play house, complete with it own backyard. He also got plenty of reps in on the big slide. Although it was crowded, there were enough toys and games to keep all the kids engaged. And when the owner turned on the bubble machine, the kids went wild. The space is bright and clean and all of the toys and equipment are in good condition. They offer a discount if you purchase a 5-pack of visits and if you live nearby and plan to go often, they even offer an affordable membership. read more

I loved that they had such a variety of toys. And they had an infant play area as well. Kelinda was an amazing support and host. She checked everyone in, helped clean and set up, help cut the cake, and kept everyone organized. All of my guests, kids and adults, loved the space and party.
